Well I am not a futurist as Christ Jesus makes it clear... "This generation."
But I appreciate that you are clear headed about the atrocities taking place right before our eyes.. so important.
Joshua 1:4 God promised Joshua that the land of Israel would include territory extending “from the desert to Lebanon, and from the great river, the Euphrates—all the Hittite country—to the Mediterranean Sea in the west.” This territory would include the land from the southern tip of Israel along the Red Sea to the Euphrates River on the east, the border of Syria on the north (land of the Hittites), and the Mediterranean Sea (Great Sea) to the west. As of yet, Israel has not controlled this entire land area.
In Joshua’s time, much of the land of Canaan was brought under Israelite control. In the time of David and his son Solomon (approximately 1000 BC, or 400 years after Joshua), a wide area of land was under Israel’s control or influence. Yet the entire territory promised to Israel in Scripture, both in Joshua 1:4 and elsewhere, has yet to be fulfilled.
Some point to a passage later in the book of Joshua as contradicting the promise of Joshua 1:4. After the conquest of Canaan, the historical account says, “So the LORD gave Israel all the land which He had sworn to give to their fathers, and they possessed it and lived in it. And the LORD gave them rest on every side, according to all that He had sworn to their fathers, and no one of all their enemies stood before them; the LORD gave all their enemies into their hand. Not one of the good promises which the LORD had made to the house of Israel failed; all came to pass” (Joshua 21:43–45). There is really no contradiction. At the time referred to in Joshua 21, all of Israel’s enemies were subdued. No one posed a threat to God’s people. God had given them a right to everything He had promised in Joshua 1:4, and they were authorized to take possession of the entire land—all the way to the Euphrates—as soon as they needed it and as soon as they called on the Lord for aid. The fact that they never did so does not negate the fact that God had kept His promise. Got Questions

God poured out the spirit of grace on Jerusalem at Pentecost, and John explicitly wrote in John 19:37 that the Roman soldier piercing Jesus side with a spear was the fulfillment of Zechariah 12:10, yet they still kick against scripture. It's completely irrational; reason doesn't work with an unbelieving spirit
The Roman Army was compromised of soldiers from all the lands they had conquered.
Read Flavius Josephus... it should be a must read before any decisions are made about eschatology.

Antiochus IV Epiphanes army was indeed composed of soldiers from all surrounding nations. Instead of asking me questions about Zechariah 12 why don't you read that article I linked to? It will explain it better than I can. Then if you have questions we can discuss that.
Chapter 12 is a grouping designation that somebody applied well after Zechariah wrote those prophecies, so saying they are related is presumption.

It says all the nations of the earth will be gathered against Israel. The Romans did not gather soldiers from every nation on earth, and it was n ot only the surrounding nations
That's the reason I believe it is talking about the end time, Jesus 2nd coming.
Why all the nations gather together against isreal (political ethnic one)? They are so holy? Or they are so evil? Go look at current political state.
J. McArthur had good teaching on Zachariah. Though his other teaching might not be true.

You are thinking of modern day nation states, when the Bible spoke of nations it was very different.

Im glad we agree. I have always thought, the nations of the earth would attack Israel because they would be Muslim nations, and that may well still be true. But now, unfortunatley Iran appears to be in a stronger position than it previously was, and has the ability to disrupt much of the worlds oil and gas supply. This has resulted in Trump giving in to Iranian demands and telling Netanyahu to ease off on Lebonon. Whatever Israel does, Iran could threaten to stop the supply of these much needed energy sources. Just a thought
The earthly land promises have been fufilled, you have been given many scripture proofs, you reject them.

All the nations/peoples of the earth is quite specific, but I think we will have to agree to disagree
