Jesus died on Friday, April 7, 30 CE, according to the Julian calendar, at around 2:30 PM local time in Jerusalem. This corresponds to the 14th of Aviv in the Hebrew calendar. Jesus arrived in Jerusalem on the 10th of Aviv in 30 CE (Jhn 12:1-50). This corresponds to April 3 in the Julian calendar. That was the second day of the Hebrew week, which means it was a Monday. According to Exodus 12:3, the 10th of Aviv is the day on which the lamb for the Passover sacrifice had to be chosen. A few days later, at the beginning of the 14th of Aviv, Jesus had the Last Supper with his disciples. This corresponds to April 6. Which was after sunset on a Thursday. Shortly thereafter, sometime during the night between Thursday and Friday, Jesus was arrested. He was crucified on Friday morning around 8:30 AM (Mark 15:25). At the end of the 14th of Aviv, on Friday afternoon, he died on the cross around 2:30 PM (Mk 15:34–37). According to Exodus 12:6, the Passover lamb, which had to be chosen on the 10th of Aviv, was also slaughtered at the same time. And shortly before sunset, Jesus was buried. The next day, the 15th of Aviv, was a double Sabbath. Firstly, because it fell on a Saturday, and secondly, because it is the first day of the seven-day Feast of Unleavened Bread (Ex 12:15–16). Therefore, this 15th of Aviv was a high Sabbath. Throughout this entire day, Jesus rested in the tomb. Then on the 16th of Aviv, that is, sometime after the Saturday sunset, Jesus rose from the dead. The 16th of Aviv was thus the first day of the week, and according to Leviticus 23:10-11, it was the Feast of Firstfruits.

Bible reports: that Jesus celebrated the first Passover of his ministry when the Herodian Temple was under construction for 46 years (Jhn 2:18-23); that Jesus celebrated a total of 3 Passovers during his entire ministry (Jhn 2:13, 6:4, 11:55); that Jesus was crucified under Pontius Pilate, the governor of Judea (Matt 27:2); that Jesus was crucified on Friday, Aviv 14 (Mk 15:42; Jhn 19:14); that Jesus was crucified a full 40 years before the destruction of Jerusalem (Jon 3:4; Eusebius' Church History 3.7.9; Yoma 39b:5). History reports: that the Herodian Temple was under construction for 46 years in 27 or 28 CE (it began sometime between Aviv of 20 BCE and Adar of 19 BCE), which means that Jesus celebrated the first Passover of his ministry in 27 or 28 CE; that Pontius Pilate was governor of Judea from 26 to 36 CE, which means that Jesus was crucified sometime between 26 and 36 CE; that between 28 and 33 CE, Aviv 14 fell on Friday only in 30 and 33 CE, which means that Jesus was crucified in 30 or 33 CE; that the siege of Jerusalem started on Aviv 14, 70 CE, and ended with the destruction of Jerusalem in the summer of the same year, which means that Jesus was crucified in 30 CE. Conclusion: since Jesus was crucified a full 40 years before the destruction of Jerusalem (70 CE) on Friday, Aviv 14 (30 or 33 CE), he was crucified on Aviv 14, 30 CE, and since Jesus was crucified on Aviv 14, 30 CE, and his ministry encompassed a total of 3 Passovers, he celebrated his first Passover of ministry in 28 CE.

Brown, Death of the Messiah, 2:1373–76, relays the results of Blinzler’s survey of about one hundred scholars: “None whom he lists has opted for AD 34 or 35, while between one and three respectively have opted for the years 26, 27, 28, 31, 32, and 36. Thirteen opted for AD 29, fifty-three for 30, and twenty-four for 33.” Jesus was born in 4 BCE, baptized in late 27 CE, crucified in 30 CE.

Are you really serious? If you are really serious, I will leave this forum.
Yes, I am serious. Jesus said, like Jonah He would be in the earth three days and three nights. If you count back from Sunday morning three days and three nights, you have Wednesday, the day of His crucifixion.

All four Gospels clearly testify that Jesus was crucified on a Friday. There is no doubt about this. Only the devil could claim otherwise. Only the devil would claim that Jesus was not crucified on a Friday, in order to contradict the Bible. Therefore, I am now leaving this forum, because I did not come here to argue with people who question clear biblical facts.

Jesus died on Friday, April 7, 30 CE, according to the Julian calendar, at around 2:30 PM local time in Jerusalem. ...

Bible reports: ... that Jesus was crucified on Friday, Aviv 14 (Mk 15:42; Jhn 19:14); that Jesus was crucified a full 40 years before the destruction of Jerusalem (Jon 3:4; Eusebius' Church History 3.7.9; Yoma 39b:5).
No, the first point is conflating two different sabbaths. Passover, as one of the holy days was a sabbath and the gospel is very clear that Jesus was crucified on the preparation day, and that the sabbath they are referring to is Passover, not the seventh day. Also please note that the evening preceding His crucifixion Jesus celebrated the Passover with His disciples. This is because the Pharisees held to a different calendar than the Essenes. Jesus' celebration was based on the Essenes calendar and Jesus was crucified on Passover according to the Essene calendar.

Also, no, Jesus was not crucified 40 years before 70 AD and this can be proved. The gospels record the fact that people went to the Pharisees and asked if Jesus was the Messiah because the miracles He was doing were Biblical signs that the Bible had prophesied would accompany the Messiah. The Pharisees came out with an official judgment saying that Jesus was not the Messiah even though they didn't dispute the miracles, instead they said Jesus was doing these miracles by the prince of the demons. Jesus responded that they had committed the unforgivable sin, because if they reject Jesus redeeming work on the cross they cannot be forgiven. They in turn responded, asking for a sign. Jesus told them the only sign they would get would be the sign of Jonah referring to being dead for three days and rising from the dead.

Then the temple records begin from 30 AD that there were four signs taking place proving that God was not receiving the atoning sacrifice. The odds that these signs would all appear in a year is around 1 in 4. This occurred every year for forty years straight until 69 AD, and then in 70 AD the temple was destroyed on the 9th of Av. This indicates that God was also testifying to the Jewish leaders that Jesus was the Messiah and they had committed the unforgivable sin, hence God was not receiving the atoning sacrifice. A 1 in 4 chance is simply chalked up to coincidence, but two years running, and now it is 1 in 16 and it becomes a powerful witness, especially coming right after Jesus told them they had committed the unforgivable sin. That witness was essential to take place prior to the crucifixion because it confirmed to the Jewish leaders that even God was testifying on behalf of Jesus and against them. That means Jesus was crucified in 32 AD.

This also means that Jesus told them they had committed the unforgivable sin on the 9th of AV in 30 AD, hence that unforgivable sin is exactly like the ten spies giving an evil report. This in turn gives us a fascinating photographic negative of Israel's 40 years in the wilderness. They entered the wilderness after the Passover and were there for 40 years before entering the good Land. However, it was only 38 years after the evil report because they had already been in the wilderness for more than a year.

The gospel shows this journey unwinding, when the disciples stick with Jesus after the evil report is given on the 9th of Av, exactly two years later on the 8th of Av in 2032 we have Pentecost, this is the two witnesses who gave a good report entering the land. For the next 38 years they walk to and fro throughout Jerusalem telling them to repent, added to Jesus' ministry we have something like Jonah's 40 days walking through Nineveh telling them to repent because they would be destroyed. Jerusalem did not repent, unlike Nineveh, and so they were destroyed in 70 AD.

When Jerusalem was destroyed the gospel was sent out to the four corners of the earth. Israel had crossed the Jordan to enter Israel, now the Christians cross the Jordan to take the gospel to the nations.

I just wonder what benefit it would be to a Christian to be able to tell with absolute certainty the exact date and time Jesus died. The import fact is that He died to save sinners, and rose again.
Hosea 6 describes Jesus leaving the temple at the year of His ascension and saying at the end of two days He will enliven Israel, and on the third day He would raise them up. That in interpreted by many to mean at the end of two thousand years, which would mean the Lord returns in Glory prior to the day of ascension in 2032. That does not give us a day or hour, nor does it refer to the rapture, but it does give us a deadline.

Likewise in the Galilean wedding the man gets betrothed (engaged) with a ceremony that the church had at Pentecost. Then this man goes and prepares a place for him and his wife to live. He has two years to do this. If Pentecost is 32 AD by that pattern Jesus will have a place prepared for the church by 2032 AD.
