Calvanism vs Arminianism was argued, and fighting about this subject has been going on for hundreds of years..

Even killing people that did not agree..

To me it is simple.

Choose between a god... one god is false one God is true. There is only one.

A god that gives us free will.
Or a god that forces us, and does not give us choice.

But even this is argued because calvanists don't get a choice...

The fact that I believe I have a choice between these different types of gods tells you I'm not forced by god..

The God I worship gives us Choice.

John 14 v 17a, Romans 8 v 6-9 ~ “Inability” in Bible. The world cannot receive the Spirit of truth. The mind of the flesh is death, but the mind of the Spirit is life and peace, because the mind of the flesh is hostile to God: It does not submit to God’s law, nor can it do so. Those controlled by the flesh cannot please God. You, however, are controlled not by the flesh, but by the Spirit, if the Spirit of God lives in you. And if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Christ. Praise be to God for calling me out of the world.

The free will camp assumes, with no supporting text and contrary to many verses that evidence the opposite, that the man of flesh is free to choose, and will believe, that which he can neither receive nor comprehend, and to which he is inherently opposed with his uncircumcised heart of stone. There is simply no getting around the fact that this is the core of their belief, and it flies in the face of what Scripture actually teaches about the natural man who is a slave to sin and lover of darkness refusing to come into the light, blinded to truth and under the power and influence of Satan: he serves the law of sin which brings forth fruit unto death, not life. Without the indwelling Holy Spirit of God, his incurably wicked heart cannot be changed. He hates God, rejects the light, and hears the gospel message as foolishness. Praise the Lord if He has set you free!

Few seem to understand this.

Grace controls the flesh, so the soul can have the freedom to make a choice for God.
Grace will be withdrawn if one FREELY rejects.

Grace does not make one believe.
Grace only enables a soul to believe, while grace makes the soul free to do so.

The choice of the soul is what will determine if God's grace will continue to be administered by God onto salvation.

That is why it says....

For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves,
it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast. Ephesians 2:8-9

Note! It does not say....

For it is by God's sovereign willfulness you have been saved, through induced faith—and this is not
from yourselves, it is the implant of God— not by works, so that no one can boast. Calvinism 2:8-9

I apologized for making sense.

Most of the important philosophers / theologians advocated violence against those that disagree.

Notable Christians who advocated for the punishment of heretics include.

St. Augustine of Hippo (354–430 AD)
One of the most influential Church Fathers. While initially skeptical of coercion, he later supported the use of imperial laws and state authority to punish and correct schismatics (like the Donatists), famously applying the phrase "compel them to come in".

St. Thomas Aquinas (1225–1274 AD)
The preeminent Catholic theologian argued in his Summa Theologiae that because forgers of money are executed, unrepentant heretics deserve to be put to death by secular authorities. He viewed heresy as a severe threat to the spiritual common good.

John Calvin (1509–1564 AD)
The influential French Reformer strongly opposed heresy and blasphemy as offenses that insulted the supreme majesty of God. Under his leadership in Geneva, the city-state utilized capital punishment for theological opponents.

Martin Luther (1483–1546 AD)
While initially advocating for persuasion rather than violence, Luther later supported the suppression of radical Anabaptist and peasant leaders, whom he viewed as dangerous heretics and social subversives.

The Byzantine Emperors
Secular Christian rulers, often with the support of Eastern Church leaders, utilized the power of the state to exile, imprison, and occasionally execute those they deemed heretics in order to maintain imperial unity.

You obviously do not understand the issue. Did God do something that allowed you to believe? Absolutely. Or are you just like some here who claim they needed no help from God at all? That people have evolved from whenever, who needs God to open our eyes and open our ears and circumcise our hearts so we may love Him? Were you able to believe before then? When you were a slave to sin, blinded by the god of this age, refusing to come into the Light, opposed to the spiritual things of God, hearing the gospel as foolishness, unable to receive or comprehend ... you want us to believe you would have chosen to believe then, that captive to the will of the devil while you served the law of sin, you were free to choose? If that were not so pathetic it might be funny. At least, in that peculiar way. Very peculiar, indeed.

John8-47Matthew13-11-2Corinthians4-4Romans8-9b.png

“Whoever belongs to God hears the words of God. The reason you do not hear is that you do not belong to God.” “The knowledge of the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven has been given to you, but not to them.” The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so they cannot see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God. If anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Christ. John 8 v 47; Matthew 13 v 11; 2 Corinthians ch 4 v 4; Romans 8 v 9b

Those controlled by the flesh cannot please God. Romans 8 v 6-8 This is what we speak, not in words taught us by human wisdom but in words taught by the Spirit, explaining spiritual realities with Spirit-taught words. The person without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God but considers them foolishness, and cannot understand them because they are discerned only through the Spirit. 1 Corinthians 2 v 13-14

Even with all the gifts and signs that Jesus gave to the people around Him..
Some chose to reject and some chose to accept that Jesus was Lord.

God wants to save everyone...

If we are elected, why doesn't God work in a way to force everyone?

Jesus wept for the people that would not listen. Why didn't God force them to accept the truth.

Nowhere does scripture explicitly teach that man is born unable to.... come to/respond positively to... the message of the the Life Giver to receive Life.
Thats your opinion, doesnt count to me, I see total depravity explicitly taught in scripture.

You keep asking that question when Millions of Christians have known it from the beginning?

You must wonder?
How did the Church grow like it had until Calvin was born?

He then brought them out and asked, “Sirs, what must I do to be saved?”
They replied, “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved—you and
your household.”

Acts 16:30-31

You are only proving how dull Calvinists are
Who is the Lord Jesus Christ to believe in ? Im sure Paul went into details with the jailor. It says in Vs 32 they spake unto them the word of God, so its a no brainer they went into detail from the word of God explain, who Jesus is, what He has done, for whom He done it, and the success of it. Now please explain to us what you would have told the Jailor in detail

God forces no one. He gives us a choice, verses in that effect do exist. I guess many to keep their false doctrine alive, deny these verses clearly spoken bu God..

Yes God gives us a choice it is written.

If I get to ask Jesus why I was saved and someone I love wasn't. What will Jesus say?

Because I said so.
Because I'm the sovereign Lord.
Because they were white or black.
Because they were not part of the nation I want in heaven.
Because I only have room for x number of people.
Because I picked names out of a hat.

According to Calvinism, Why are some given life and others given hell?

Calvin read Augustine and liked what he read and Calvin was well versed in philosophy.

Augustine proposed God's election of the saved but not double predestination.
Calvinism is a slanderous nick name men have given the Gospel. Read the postings Im explaining why its the Gospel

Are you actually doing any thinking? What difference does it make whether I know the Gospel or not. Jesus Christ is the Good News and nothing I say or do will ever change that.

Hebrews 13:8
Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever.

Our understanding, or lack of it will never change who He is.

You are an argumentative sort. If I had said Jesus Christ is not the Good News, you would have argued with that too.

You're Calvinism is nothing more than man's understanding of God, (ie. theology) and trying to replace Christ as the Gospel with Calvinism only shows how depraved your thinking has become.

But then, considering we reflect what we value and focus our hearts and minds on, is it any wonder?
Talk is cheap, explain the Gospel Of Jesus Christ. Who is He, what has He done, for whom He has done it. Im sure Paul spent all night explaining that awakened Jailor the scriptures Acts 16:31-32

31 And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.

32 And they spake unto him the word of the Lord, and to all that were in his house.

That pagan roman jailor would not have known nothing about who the Lord Jesus Christ is. Im sure Paul would have explained to him, Jesus is LORD

Paul would have taught mans total ruin from the fall Rom 3:9ff

Legal substitution how that He died in the place of Gods Sheep Jn 10

Particular redemption Isa 53

And other Gospel Truths

Now what would you say in the Gospel ?

Are you actually doing any thinking? What difference does it make whether I know the Gospel or not. Jesus Christ is the Good News and nothing I say or do will ever change that.
Aint that something, what difference does it make lol. Do you ever witness the Gospel ? If you dom I hope pray tell you know ad understand the Gospel

We are sinful and totally fallen but we are told to repent, we are told to be born again. We are told to be baptised.

The science proves that brains can change their habits. Change their thinking patterns.

A highway is easily traveled on, with very few stops.

An overgrown path in the jungle is hard to walk.

Over time we develop highways and paths in our thinking patterns.

But by persistence we can turn the overgrown path into a highway and let the highway of sin that we once traveled become overgrown and forgotten.

Like a muscle, the more you use it the stronger it gets.

Good thoughts and actions can become strong habits and evil habits can be overcome.

Science proves this.

GOD wants us to be born again.
Born of the Spirit and die to the flesh.

God provides the Spirit and that is the source of Power. But we must choose to follow.

We need to crucify the flesh, carry the cross. Self denial is a choice.

When there are two roads before me, I need to choose which path I want to take.
