1. did Jesus ever throw a mountain into the ocean? Even so, what if they did?

The point of this thread is to discuss how some of the prophetic revelations would play out in modern times. to pair modern terms and understanding to ancient prophecy and foretelling.

Clearly no one who knows anything about the Bible/Jesus would knowingly follow the anti Christ. (Anti= Not/ Christos = messiah) But would you follow an alien who claimed to be the Jesus of the Bible and could do all of the same things He could? Someone who spends the next three years 'saving humanity/healing people. bringing new technology/energy sources that makes the world free from disease want or hunger? A being who wields God like power and uses it (in the beginning) to help humanity?

Where Would your faith take you?
If you know Scripture, you would know Truth when you see/ hear it.

Jesus is the Shepherd who knows His sheep (followers), and the Sheep know their Shepherd.

At the time. Jesus was not an alien he was Jewish and lived in Judaea which was part of Israel. He spoke Aramaic. He was a Hebrew. So he wouldn't have been 'alien' or a foreigner to the people living in the Promised Land.

People have already followed someone charismatic or believed to be like Jesus. You call them Mormons or Jim Jones 'People's Temple'

Jim Jones also performed 'miracles' with chicken guts. And people fell for it, just as Mormons fall for their reincarnated Jesus Brigham Young described.

He was never an “alien.” Lol
He was/ is God the Son in the flesh.

Anyway, what about the Christian movies that have atheists or agnostics questioning their lack of faith?

Isn't that more important news??

Why aren't people making those. Why isn't there much discussion on..'The Chosen' or other films like that.

What about The Chosen?
I bumped it up.
Would it make Christians lose their faith...or atheists/agnostics to gain faith?

What do you think. IDK I haven't watched all of it, as far as I know, only Christians watch those movies. But since I already read the Bible, I kind of don't really have the urge to see it. I saw some of it but for me personally it was ...nothing special movie-wise. Because I already read the book I'm super picky about what film makers insert as creative license. If that's their take on it.

Some people love it and others are like, oh 'its a Christian movie, its gonna be about Jesus..I'm not interested"
But then I'm sort of keen to see Jesus Christ Superstar because its got some good songs in it. Not the movie but the actual musical.

A lot of movies people see for different reasons - special effects, costumes or the actors. If its G rated or its action/adventure or maybe there's a mystery to solve. IDK.

I think because it's a series it may get people hooked and like say a series The Crown it could be good but there will be things that are dramatised that maybe didn't really happen.

As per 'The Chosen' you could ask yourself the same question - why was I chosen? I'm nothing special. God might say 'Why not'? Did Jesus ask more than 12 to come join him? Maybe some said 'no' and couldn't drop everything to follow him. IDK

I would hope, think, it would insight more interest. I’ve seen all the other movies regarding Jesus, but this one, this particular series, portrayed Jesus in a different light; it was amazing to see Him portrayed in a more human way, amiable, laughing, not stoic, or untouchable. It was very personable and warm feeling!

I even read that the actors on set were very moved by Jonathan’s portrayal of Him. Many reacted in a very positive way. The acting was very sincere, he touched many hearts on the set. Amazing performance!!

This is one series that I can literally watch repeatedly, and never tire from it.

I think you would enjoy the whole series! Give it a chance, to reap the benefits!

Just a little FYI, reading the Bible only once will do very little for you. Every time I read His word I pick up something new. Maybe also don’t take advice from atheist friends who know nothing about His word; they will always steer you in the wrong direction.

I’m not much for musicals, at all, that would be enough to steer me away, for sure! No, this is a lot more realistic!! This is more how I see Jesus, and want to remember Him by. If I had lived in that time period, I would have definitely walked miles to go see and hear Him speak!

I never see a movie based just on ratings, because the ratings don’t really mean very much anymore. I definitely don’t like a lot of language (profanity) in anything, even if the story is good.

Yes, hopefully it will reel you in like a fish. Lol
Just know that many things are not accurate, they’ve been changed/ dramatized/ and even added for the sake of interest. It’s the acting that I like, and the Godly character, Jesus most of all.

It is said, that He lost no one save Judas, who He knew was the devil when He chose Him.

“Now I am no longer in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to You. Holy Father, keep through Your name those whom You have given Me, that they may be one as We are. While I was with them in the world, I kept them in Your name. Those whom You gave Me I have kept; and none of them is lost except the son of perdition, that the Scripture might be fulfilled.”
‭‭John‬ ‭17‬:‭11‬-‭12‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

If I commit to a series, something has to keep me watching it.

A movie to see at the cinema, nowadays is expensive and you don't want to waste your money.

I think anyone playing Jesus would find something in his character that they like. His disciples were all uniquely different too. Even Judas is a character study.

Yes I agree you need to read the Bible several times to pick up on the nuance, we do actually have four versions of the gospel in the New Testament and they are all from different points of view. I've always been curious about Mary's interaction with Jesus. She was looked down on by others because of her scandalous past or reputation, but Jesus was able to forgive all that. He didn't label her, He transformed her.

It's amazing to read, hear or now through the medium of film see a portrayal of someone who literally touched the hearts of everyone he met.

My family likes to go once in awhile, but I’ve been known to walk out if there is a lot of profanity, so normally I don’t go. Waste of money! Also, their volume is way too loud for my ears.

From what I’ve read in Scripture, he was a thief who stole from the treasury. Some character!

Mary Magdalene was possessed by demons, but Jesus healed her and redeemed her.

Yes, I think if you go in with this mindset, you too will enjoy it… immensely! ❤️
