Faith is a gift but many free willers deny this. They like to believe that they generated something good out of the wickedness of their God hating heart, and in order to do that they deny what Scriptures plainly teach on the fallen nature of man... You know Jesus Christ? Yeah, in His very Own words He said there were none good and that a bad tree cannot produce a good fruit. Is faith a good friut? I am not calling it a work. Scripture calls it a fruit of the Spirit. It is not a fruit of the flesh... the natural man so many of you love to claim is capable of doing what Scripture says he cannot.
God giving faith is giving a person what he wanted to think, but could never define.

Yet depravity's crippling effect can be overcome by God's grace.
Once made able to walk by grace? Man decides to take the first step.
Nope. Not can, but is. Just as the crippled man is made whole, the crippled spiritual man is made whole. That's what Ezekiel 36:26-27 is revealing.

God's grace includes meeting the actual need. God's grace is God's power actually performing in an individual. It isn't simply that He can, but that He does. God being able to do something isn't grace. God actually exercising His power to effect change is what grace consists in.

The verse below also supports this point, though its meaning may not be immediately clear on the surface and requires close reading. Peter refers to Jesus as “our Saviour,” indicating that Peter and his audience were already saved. Peter also states that their faith was obtained through the righteousness of Jesus Christ, their Savior. This leads to the conclusion that salvation came first, and faith followed from it—because Jesus Christ was their Savior and their faith was obtained through Him as Savior, salvation had to occur first.

[2Pe 1:1 KJV] 1 Simon Peter, a servant and an apostle of Jesus Christ, to them that have obtained like precious faith with us through the righteousness of God and our Saviour Jesus Christ:
Yeah Faith is allotted to them whom Christ has saved and imputed His Righteousness unto, everyone who has this Righteousness makes Him their Saviour, and they are given precious Faith in Him as an evidence and assurance. 2 Pet 1:1

Simon Peter, a servant and an apostle of Jesus Christ, to them that have obtained like precious faith with us through the righteousness of God and our Saviour Jesus Christ:

The Saviors Righteousness of God which is imputed is revealed to Precious Faith Rom 1:17

For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.

The problem with this argument is that it assumes man's fallen condition proves he cannot respond to God's call. Jesus never taught that. Yes, mankind is sinful and needs God's grace. But Jesus repeatedly calls people to repent, believe, come, hear, and follow Him:
Repent ye, and believe in the gospel. (Mark 1:15 ASV)
Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. (Matthew 11:28 ASV)
If any man thirst, let him come unto me and drink. (John 7:37 ASV)

The "bad tree cannot produce good fruit" passage is about recognizing false prophets by their conduct, not proving that a person cannot respond to God's invitation:
Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but the corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. (Matthew 7:17 ASV)
Jesus consistently presents faith as the response God desires from those who hear Him:
This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent. (John 6:29 ASV)

God draws people, but Jesus also says people can refuse:

And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto myself. (John 12:32 ASV)
And ye will not come to me, that ye may have life. (John 5:40 ASV)

If people were incapable of responding, Jesus' invitations, warnings, and rebukes would make little sense. Scripture teaches that salvation begins with God's grace, but Jesus also teaches that people are responsible for whether they receive or reject the truth He gives them.

The problem with your argument is that it is wrong = Scripture very plainly says *the natural man is a God hater
refusing to come into the Light because he loves darkness and is a slave to sin, opposed to the Spiritual
things of God, blind to truth which he can neither receive nor comprehend and incapable, see that word???
INCAPABLE of obeying or submitting to God. *He serves the law of sin which brings forth fruit unto death.

"No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him." John 6 verse 44 The natural man does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God. For they are foolishness to him, and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned. 1 Corinthians 2 verse 14 For the mind that is set on the flesh is hostile to God, for it does not submit to God's law; indeed, it cannot. Those who are in the flesh cannot please God. Romans 8 verse 7-8

John 14 v 17a, Romans 8 v 6-9 ~ “Inability” in Bible. The world cannot receive the Spirit of truth. The mind of the flesh is death, but the mind of the Spirit is life and peace, because the mind of the flesh is hostile to God: It does not submit to God’s law, nor can it do so. Those controlled by the flesh cannot please God. You, however, are controlled not by the flesh, but by the Spirit, if the Spirit of God lives in you. And if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Christ. Praise be to God for calling me out of the world.

The world cannot receive the Spirit of truth, because it neither sees Him nor knows Him. The world does not recognize Him. No one knows the Father except the Son and those to whom the Son chooses to reveal Him. The one who loves God is known by God. If anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Christ. The natural man does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him, and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually discerned. The mind that is set on the flesh is hostile toward God; it does not submit to God's law, nor can it. Whoever is not from God does not listen to us.

Excellent, context kills all the TULIP arguments completely.

Another tactic employed is verses/ passages which are very specific to a particular person or time period are turned into universal all encompassing first principles which again is denying the context and very dishonest treatment of scripture.

What you have posted is completely Biblical... good to read a post where context is respected and the orthodox (as in right) evangelical soteriological position is espoused.

Nope. Not can, but is. Just as the crippled man is made whole, the crippled spiritual man is made whole. That's what Ezekiel 36:26-27 is revealing.

We are not to follow God's statutes. Jews (whom it was written to) were to be under Law.
And, you keep slamming the door on its context.
Ezekiel 36: 24 tells us to whom it was written!

"For I will take you from among the heathen,
and gather you out of all countries,
and will bring you into your own land.

Can you comprehend what that says?

Ezekiel speaks of the Jews of the Millennium!
Right now they are scattered all over the planet!

And, we too have been given a new heart.
But, not to be following the Law as Jews do.
But, to walk in the transforming power of the Spirit of God.
Not under Law as a Jew.

Calvinism is taught as if it were law.
Rigid and closed-minded.
Weak believers need that sort of teaching in an attempt to feel strong.
Spiritual believers' inability to agree with TULIP makes to feel strong because you can do something they can not.

But it is not a matter of not being able to.
The new heart in us sees through the falsehoods of TULIP, and we refuse to be bullied into obedience to the laws of your denominational cult. Nor, do we agree with Arminianism which you throw out as your straw man and then plug your ears.

Cameron. I do not know what you are going to do when the Lord shows you He did send believers your way to show
you what you keep ignoring in your slandering of the character of God.

1782253306820.pngAll is not good.
We are to discern between Good and Evil.

Not good.
You keep failing to comprehend the nature of God's love and integrity, and prefer the company of your friends who agree with you in knowing that "we stupid" ones just do not get it. It's an ego clique.

.....

I never hated God , why say these things this is absurd.
Romans 1 v 30 Explicitly lists "haters of God" alongside other descriptions of those who reject Him.
Romans 8 v 7 States that "the mind governed by the flesh is hostile to God; it does not submit to
God’s law, nor can it do so". This is a problem with free willers: they continually deny Scripture.
Then they mock it. Then they slander those who uphold it. Then some blaspheme God. Tell us
God would never do the things He is shown to do throughout Scripture, or if He did He would be
being unfair, when Scripture is full - front to back- of examples of God doing the very thing they decry.

I know many people who never hated God.

It is a very absurd treatment of scripture.

They abuse by not comprehending the passages' context.
Failing to know why certain passages stated what they do,
concerning believers who became evil and began to hate God.

For, openly accepting false doctrine is an assuaging one's own hatred for God.

Calvinism is a slanderous nick name men have given the Gospel. Read the postings Im explaining why its the Gospel
Hello Brightfame52.

I will give you a warning regarding your idea that Calvinism is The Gospel.

Here is what you said below in your post #335.

"Read the postings Im explaining why its the Gospel"

The apostle Paul wrote the actual Gospel down below and no one can add anything to that Gospel.

Read every word in the Gospel below very carefully.

1 Corinthians 15
Now I make known to you, brethren, the gospel which I preached to you, which also you received,
in which also you stand, by which also you are saved, if you hold fast the word which I preached to you,
unless you believed in vain. For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received,
that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He was raised
on the third day according to the Scriptures
, and that He appeared to Cephas, then to the twelve.

The Gospel ( 1 Corinthians 15:1-4 ) is the foundation on which we stand.

"in which also you stand"

The Gospel (1 Corinthians 15:1-4) is how we are saved.

"by which also you are saved"

Everything else written in the scripture is of secondary importance.

A fuller gospel version nor has an expanded Gospel version ever existed.

Calvinism has nothing to do with the Gospel of Jesus Christ that Paul wrote.

I would ask you to retract the following erroneous statement you made below in post #335.

"Read the postings Im explaining why its the Gospel"

Your flesh (not your soul) is what repulsed you from God.
God's power of grace can easily neuter the flesh's power over the soul.

It is when a soul insists and wants the flesh's ways back, that God stops supplying the grace to be saved.
Just like Satan and his angels kept resisting God's desire for them to repent.
