Woke ideology came in with sweeping nationwide reforms; it swallowed the whole country at once rather than one bite at a time. This bill is a band-aid measure that does not address underlying issues- which will come back worse than they were at the start.

Prosecutors proved at trial that Song acquired and distributed firearms to co-defendants, recruited members at gun ranges and combat training sessions he personally led, and was caught on police bodycam yelling “𝘨𝘦𝘵 𝘵𝘰 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘳𝘪𝘧𝘭𝘦𝘴!” before opening fire on responding officers. He struck Alvarado Police Lt. Thomas Gross in the neck.
The remaining sentences: Maricela Rueda received 70 years. Cameron Arnold (Autumn Hill), Zachary Evetts, Savanna Batten, Meagan Morris, and Elizabeth Soto each received 50 years. Daniel Rolando Sanchez-Estrada received 30 years. U.S. District Judge Mark T. Pittman handed down the sentences. All eight were among the nine defendants convicted in March after the first federal Antifa terrorism trial in U.S. history.

The SAVE Act — the Safeguard American Voter Eligibility Act — passed the House in February 2026 and would require documentary proof of citizenship to register for federal elections, plus photo ID at the polls. It stalled in the Senate, blocked by the 60-vote filibuster threshold that Democrats are using to protect what they call “𝘣𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘰𝘵 𝘢𝘤𝘤𝘦𝘴𝘴.” Scott’s daily-vote proposal treats the bill as both a legislative push and a 𝐦𝐢𝐝𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐦 𝐜𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐚𝐢𝐠𝐧 𝐰𝐞𝐚𝐩𝐨𝐧 — force Democrats to vote no on citizen-only voting over and over again, and let voters decide what that record means in November.
Scott, who founded and built Columbia/HCA into the largest hospital company in the nation before serving as Florida governor and then senator, is framing this as a dealmaking problem, not an institutional one. “𝘐’𝘮 𝘢 𝘣𝘶𝘴𝘪𝘯𝘦𝘴𝘴 𝘨𝘶𝘺. Scott has also invited Trump to join Wednesday’s Senate Republican lunch to build a game plan together. On the other end of the spectrum, Sen. Marsha Blackburn is proposing to break the SAVE Act into individual components — voter ID alone, citizenship registration alone, DHS Safe system incentives — and pass each piece where the votes exist. The ceasefire framework between the United States and Iran has a single load-bearing pillar: international weapons inspectors on the ground verifying Iran’s nuclear commitments. Vice President J.D. Vance announced Monday that Iran had agreed to allow International Atomic Energy Agency inspectors into the country. President Trump posted on Truth Social within hours: “𝘐𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘺 𝘥𝘪𝘥 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘢𝘨𝘳𝘦𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴, 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘸𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥 𝘣𝘦 𝘯𝘰 𝘧𝘶𝘳𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘳 𝘯𝘦𝘨𝘰𝘵𝘪𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯𝘴.” One condition. No ambiguity.
Then Iran went on the record. Iran is 𝐩𝐮𝐛𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐥𝐲 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐕𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭 of the United States on the exact term Trump said must be met or the talks end entirely.

Neither interpretation leaves the deal on solid ground. The question being exchanged now goes beyond inspectors: it also reaches the Strait of Hormuz and whether Iran’s commitments there are equally hollow.
The broader picture has areas of stability: the Strait of Hormuz remains open and the Treasury has temporarily authorized Iranian oil sales, with proceeds controlled by the United States and directed toward food and medical supplies for the Iranian people. On the Lebanese front, the IDF struck a H∗zbollah cell in southern Lebanon that intelligence showed was 𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐧 𝐢𝐦𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐚𝐜𝐤 on Israeli forces. The war has not paused on any front.
