That was fulfilled on the day of Pentecost when the holy nation of God was born from above by the holy spirit.

But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light: 1 Peter 2:9
Because it already has happened at Pentecost. See my previous post
This is false replacement theology. What you posted is irrelevant. In Is. 66, "Zion" the symbol of Israel was in labor, Pentecost took place at Mount Olives.

How is it replacement theology? All who were born from above in that day were Israel. Pentecost was done at the temple

I suspect that "the river of Egypt" is not a reference to the Nile, because if that was the case Moses would not have had to travel anywhere to go to the promised land.
Both sides of the red sea would have been included in that map, including Goshen,
So the Israelites would have been there already.
Don’t you think a lot has happened to the land from ancient times? The land seemed to have changed form. Trees disappeared, greenery became desert, rivers dried up….

“The Lord will utterly destroy the tongue of the Sea of Egypt; With His mighty wind He will shake His fist over the River, And strike it in the seven streams, And make men cross over dry-shod.”
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭11‬:‭15‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Yes replacement theology is of the devil because it's a straw man that mischaracterizes the actual replacement that did take place in order to hide the nature of that replacement. The nation of Israel was preserved (not replaced) in the apostles and the believing remnant of Israel who followed their teachings. Then at the appointed time the door was opened to the gentiles (Acts 10) and a believing remnant of them replaced the unbelieving branches of Israel that were broken off. That is sound indisputable theology. It's all there written down if you can believe it.
There's never been "actual replacement" of any kind. Paul explicitly warned about this attitude, and he foretold that the natural branches that fell off can also be grafted back in, this much is fulfilled by the Messianic movement.

For if the firstfruit is holy, the lump is also holy; and if the root is holy, so are the branches. And if some of the branches were broken off, and you, being a wild olive tree, were grafted in among them, and with them became a partaker of the root and fatness of the olive tree, do not boast against the branches. But if you do boast, remember that you do not support the root, but the root supports you. You will say then, “Branches were broken off that I might be grafted in.” Well said. Because of unbelief they were broken off, and you stand by faith. Do not be haughty, but fear. For if God did not spare the natural branches, He may not spare you either. Therefore consider the goodness and severity of God: on those who fell, severity; but toward you, goodness, if you continue in His goodness. Otherwise you also will be cut off. And they also, if they do not continue in unbelief, will be grafted in, for God is able to graft them in again. For if you were cut out of the olive tree which is wild by nature, and were grafted contrary to nature into a cultivated olive tree, how much more will these, who are natural branches, be grafted into their own olive tree?

Aren’t the remnant those who came to Christ? These He will save.

Paul and Jesus would disagree

And if some of the branches be broken off, and thou, being a wild olive tree, wert graffed in among them, and with them partakest of the root and fatness of the olive tree; Romans 11:17
Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit. John 15:2
If a man abide not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned. John 15:6

Paul explicitly warned about this attitude, and he foretold that the natural branches that fell off can also be grafted back in, this much is fulfilled by the Messianic movement.

Your thoughts are all garbled and mixing things together. Paul said:
  • Unbelieving branches are replaced with believing branches (Jew or gentile, doesn't matter)
  • Don't get high-minded thinking you are better than broken off branches because you're no better than they are and will also be broken off and replaced if you don't continue in the faith.

“Now learn this parable from the fig tree: When its branch has already become tender and puts forth leaves, you know that summer is near. So you also, when you see all these things, know that it is near—at the doors!

I am sure that you are right that the land has changed, yet in the story of Moses the Israelites lived in Goshen which is already on the other side of the Nile.
They traveled to the Red Sea and crossed it by the power of God.
They then traveled far in the wilderness to the promised land, and their path went curly from there.
These basic similarities to the modern map were obviously still there.

The "they" therein is specifically referring to the Jews who fell off due to unbelief. They'd be grafted back in and replace the gentile branches who're cut off due to their own apostasy.

"Otherwise you also will be cut off. And they also, if they do not continue in unbelief, will be grafted in, for God is able to graft them in again. "

i don't understand what point you're trying to make. Branches broken off due to unbelief (Jew or gentile) can be grafted back in if they believe. If any don't repent and believe, then they remain broken off and will never be grafted in if they never believe.

Look, this tangent is foolish, it is unwise to continue this pointless debate. Regarding the OP, whether 1948 is the fulfillment of prophecy or not depends on which prophecy you're speaking of, about a third of the whole bible is prophecy, and more could be foreshadowing or symbolizing future events also. Did God promise to gather His people scattered all around the world back to the Holy Land? If so, then 1948 was a starting point.

That happened after the Babylonian captivity. Israel was back in the land, gathered out of all nations, for centuries before Christ appeared. Who do you think the disciples were? They were sons of Israel living in the land of Israel.

No it didn't. Israel is of all twelve tribes, not just Judah and Benjamin. This is the pitfall for most people who don't know the distinction between Israelites and Jews.

James, a bondservant of God and of the Lord Jesus Christ, to the twelve tribes which are scattered abroad: Greetings. (James 1:1)

If one studies, the New Testament use of the Old Testament, you see they did not interpret it literally. The Old Testament was viewed Christologically, through the lens of Christ's death, resurrection and ascension.
All the OT promises about Israel were fulfilled in Jesus, the True Israel. The land promises and the re-gathering find their fulfillment not in earthly Israel but in Christ.
The problem with dispensationalism and Christian Zionism is for them, it's all about Israel ,when in fact, it is really, it's all about Jesus Christ!
All the purposes of God find their fulfillment in Christ. All the covenantal blessings find their fulfillment in Christ.

How about both? Jesus prophesied that only when the stiff-necked Jews confess him as the Lord and Savior will he return.

I was taught that the story of Joseph foretold this, Joseph was a missianic figure, when his brothers came to him for grains, he recognized them but denied them, until they repented; then he asked about the youngest brother Benjamin, who remained back home with Jacob; the brothers returned with loads of grain, which was soon ate up, they went back to Egypt with Benjamin; Joseph held a feast, but threatened to withhold Benjamin as a hostage and let the others go; Judah interceded and volunteered to be Joseph's slave instead, a gesture of self sacrifice and true repentance. Finally they were back with the thrilling news that Joseph was alive and ruling in Egypt, and Jacob went with them this time and settled in Egypt. In the end, the NATION of Israel will finally confess Jesus as the Christ, like Jacob the individual came to Joseph.

And they will fall by the edge of the sword, and be led away captive into all nations. And Jerusalem will be trampled by Gentiles until the times of the Gentiles are fulfilled. (Lk. 21:24)

See! Your house is left to you desolate; for I say to you, you shall see Me no more till you say, ‘Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord!’ ” (Matt. 23:38-39)

Mathew 23:38 Behold, your house is left unto you desolate.
39 For I say unto you, Ye shall not see me henceforth, till ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord.

The trouble is that you make it sound as if Jesus is waiting for "the Jews" to go to Israel and is dependent on their belief before he is willing to return.
It is actually the other way around.
He will come whether they are ready or not, and they are dependent on Him.
Whether Jesus speaks concerning His second coming or seeing through the eyes of faith, there is nothing in the verse to suggest that they must be located at "Israel" in order to say "Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord."

"And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come." That's the conclusion of the Great Commission: “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you;” That's the definitive sign of the end, and Israel must be among "all nations". In fact, Israel will be the last, for "the first will be the last and the last first." This is all prophecy according to God's schedule, they'll come to Jesus in one way or another.

Besides, there's the parable of the fig tree, which points to non other than the revival of Israel. During Jesus's ministry, Jesus cursed the fig tree for its being fruitless, causing it to rapidly wither away, that was the fall of Israel; when the same tree grows out new leaves, that's the revival.

I gotta say that I find this sentiment of antisemetism very disturbing. From the mid 19th century to the mid 20th century there had been a zeitgeist of revolution for national independence, all nations deserve a homeland, so why not the Jews? If not the Jews, to whom does the Holy Land belong? Romans? Crusaders? Arabs? Ottaman turks? Britan? Today's Palestine is a made up ethnicity that doesn't exist in history, the name "Palestine” derived from Philestine, the demonic tribe of Goliath that fought with king David. The Holy Land was named after that to humiliate the Jews. This strip of land is God's promised land for Israel, it is their birthright, the whole bible, especially the first five books, is their deed of trust. On a national level, those who bless Israel will be blessed, those who curse Israel will be cursed!
