“Therefore I tell you, the kingdom of God will be taken away from you and given to a people that produces its fruits…When the chief priests and the Pharisees heard his parables, they realized that he was speaking about them.” (Mat 21:43, 45 NRSVue)
The Messianic kingdom was taken away from the Jews & given to the church, elect Jew & Gentile.
“But you [the church] are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s own people, in order that you may proclaim the excellence of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.” (1Pe 2:9 NRSVue)
This is a permanent transfer of spiritual authority from Israel to the church. The New Covenant people of God are now ONE, not two, Israel and the church.
“For he is our peace; in his flesh he has made both into one and has broken down the dividing wall, that is, the hostility between us, abolishing the law with its commandments and ordinances, that he might create in himself one new humanity in place of the two, thus making peace, and might reconcile both to God in one body through the cross, thus putting to death that hostility through it.” (Eph 2:14-16 NRSVue)

James, in Acts 15:13-18 applies the prophecy from Amos 9:11-12 to the church and such prophesy from the OT is meant for the New Covenant Israel, the church.
