And this day is drawing to an end, at least where I am... Harpazo? 👀
The fact of the Harpazo cannot be avoided. Only denied out of bad faith, malice, spite, and rancor.

In The Footsteps of the Messiah, Dr. Arnold Fruchtenbaum argues that \alpha\pi\omicron\sigma\tau\alpha\sigma\acute{\iota}\alpha (apostasia) in 2 Thessalonians 2:3 refers to a physical, spatial departure—specifically, the Rapture of the Church—rather than a spiritual or theological falling away.
His view hinges on three primary arguments:

Etymological Root: The noun is derived from the verb aphistemi, which means "to depart from a person, place, or condition." Fruchtenbaum notes that the core meaning is a physical movement or separation from one location to another.

The Definite Article: Paul uses the definite article—the departure (he apostasia). Fruchtenbaum emphasizes that Paul is pointing back to a specific event he had already introduced to the Thessalonians. Because the immediate context of verse 1 is "our gathering together to Him," the departure is the spatial execution of that event.

Contextual Logic: The Thessalonians were terrified that they had entered the Day of the Lord (the Tribulation). Paul reassures them that the Tribulation cannot begin until two events happen first: the physical departure of the Church, followed by the unmasking of the Antichrist.

By translating apostasia as a physical departure, Fruchtenbaum maintains strict structural continuity from verse 1 through verse 3, reinforcing his pretribulational framework.

Just to let you know:

The harpazo is referred to in some form or fashion in EVERY chapter of 1 Thessalonians.

And then Paul speaks to the harpazo THREE TIMES in sequence in 2 Thessalonians chapter 2.

Oh and BTW there is also his citing of this incident that confirms the false rumor of 2 Thessalonians 2....

[2Ti 2:17-18 KJV] 17 And their word will eat as doth a canker: of whom is Hymenaeus and Philetus; 18 Who concerning the truth have erred, saying that the resurrection is past already; and overthrow the faith of some.

33 So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors.

34 Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled.

Dispensationalism is being revealed for what it is and people are walking away daily!

Maybe that is why God gave us the Internet, so Bible believers and the correct Covenant theologians would methodically take apart this manufactured schema which is much like Calvinism, cherry picks verses devoid of correct hermeneutical methodology

The true Praise Christ Jesus!

When This generation doesn't pass until all these things be done, and the harpazo is one of them. No matter how much the heretics try to deny God's promises and twist his words to justify their heresy they won't stop destiny, they'll only prove themselves worthy of hellfire for their faithlessness, praise Jesus.

Mark 13:23-30

23 But take ye heed: behold, I have foretold you all things.

24 But in those days, after that tribulation, the sun shall be darkened, and the moon shall not give her light,

25 And the stars of heaven shall fall, and the powers that are in heaven shall be shaken.

26 And then shall they see the Son of man coming in the clouds with great power and glory.

27 And then shall he send his angels, and shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from the uttermost part of the earth to the uttermost part of heaven.

28 Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When her branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is near:

29 So ye in like manner, when ye shall see these things come to pass, know that it is nigh, even at the doors.

You cant talk to antisemites. My ignore button seems to grow on a daily basis.

I've started calling out what it is, Anti-Jew, hiding behind that by saying they are only Anti-Zionist. Zionists believe the Jews have a right to their homeland and to protect it. So why are "these people" saying Zionists are Nazi's ??

Resist? Just what are they resisting? The aftermath of Oct 7? You have a twisted way of looking at things. And for the record. God didnt give them a state in the U.S. He gave them Israel, all of Israel.

Louder, so they can hear it in the back!

Dean, do you know that other ME countries understand Palestinians/Philistines to be a people entitled to have a state of their own?

They are from surrounding countries. Go back to the country they came from. Palestinians are not Philistines.

America has 50 states.
Ask yourself why one of them can not be Israel?
Because Israel has been their homeland for 3000 yrs.

What have these "Philistines" ever done to you to justify your hatred for them?

So you equate truth with hate. Well then, I see your problem.

Perhaps you have also been forced out of your home at threat of death?

Perhaps you were raped till your pelvis was broken. Then repeatedly abused and nearly starved, not knowing if you would live or die, or if your family was alive. That's what happened to just one of the Oct. 7th victims.

You have no cogent reasoned Biblically supported answer to my harpazo posts.

"Covenant theologians would methodically take apart this manufactured schema".

You did not refute my position when given the opportunity. Yet you propose that somebody could and should. But obviously cannot.

Sniping, posturing, denying is the intellectual currency of a fool.

Allow me to correct you pejorative use of the term dispensationalism.

# Understanding Dispensationalism: A Finer Definition by Dr. Arnold Fruchtenbaum

The term "dispensationalism" is frequently used as a pejorative by its detractors, often mischaracterized as a modern political ideology or a frantic obsession with end-times charts. However, to understand the system accurately, one must look to its precise, text-driven definitions.

Dr. Arnold Fruchtenbaum, a prominent Messianic Jewish theologian and the founder of Ariel Ministries, provides a clear, systematic framework that strips away the polemical baggage and defines dispensationalism by its literal, biblical roots.

## 1. What is a "Dispensation"?
Fruchtenbaum corrects a common misconception: a dispensation is not merely a "period of time." Instead, drawing from the New Testament Greek word *oikonomia* (from which we get the word "economy," meaning household management or stewardship), he defines a dispensation as:
> **"The administration of a specific revelation that God has given, which carries with it a responsibility on the part of man to respond."**
>
In Fruchtenbaum’s framework, history is a progressive sequence of distinct economies or divine administrations. In each stage, God provides new instructions, tests humanity’s faithfulness to those specific instructions, and demonstrates human failure—which ultimately points to the necessity of God's grace.

## 2. The Core Pillars (The Sine Qua Non)
Following the legacy of theologian Charles Ryrie, Fruchtenbaum argues that true dispensationalism rests on three essential, non-negotiable pillars. If an interpretation lacks these, it is not dispensationalism:

* **A Consistent Literal Hermeneutic:** Fruchtenbaum advocates for a strict historical-grammatical method of interpretation. This means reading the Bible according to the normal rules of human language—taking poetry as poetry and symbols as symbols, but never "spiritualizing" or allegorizing plain text. If God makes a geographic, material promise to Abraham's physical descendants, it must mean exactly that.

* **The Absolute Distinction Between Israel and the Church:**
This is the centerpiece of Fruchtenbaum's theology (detailed extensively in his landmark work, *Israelology*). He argues that "Israel" always refers to the physical, ethnic descendants of Jacob, while "the Church" is a distinct, unique entity born at Pentecost. The Church does not replace, absorb, or inherit the specific earthly and territorial promises made to national Israel.

* **The Overarching Purpose of History is God's Glory:**
While human salvation is a central theme of the Bible, dispensationalism views the ultimate goal of history as the manifestation of God’s own glory. This glory is displayed through the outworking of His diverse programs, including His separate plans for Israel, the Church, and the Gentile nations.

## 3. Correcting the Misconceptions
Fruchtenbaum explicitly answers the two most common criticisms leveled against the system:
### The Charge: "Dispensationalists teach multiple ways of salvation."
**Fruchtenbaum's Correction:** This is false. Fruchtenbaum emphasizes that salvation has always been exactly the same in every dispensation: by grace alone, through faith alone, based on the blood of Jesus Christ. The *content* of what people knew at a given point in history (progressive revelation) changed, but the *means* of salvation never did. Old Testament believers looked forward to a redemption God would provide; New Testament believers look back on it.

### The Charge: "It is just an obsession with the Rapture and charts."
**Fruchtenbaum's Correction:** This is false. While prophetic teaching is a natural byproduct of a literal reading of Scripture, Fruchtenbaum outlines dispensationalism as a holistic approach to the entire Bible, from Genesis to Revelation. It maps out God's historical stewardship rather than focusing exclusively on the end times.
By defining the system through the lens of stewardship and consistent interpretation, Fruchtenbaum frames dispensationalism not as a theological novelty, but as a disciplined attempt to let the text of Scripture speak for itself without imposing external, allegorical
frameworks onto it.

When has the dispensationalist side on here ever said Jesus is not the seed conceived in the womb of the virgin Mary? I don't remember seeing them deny that. I'll let them answer for themselves. Even if they do though, it doesn't let your heresy off the hook for denying the session of Christ and the second coming (key salvic points of the Gospel), and the veracity of the Bible, and heck for bonus points even outright butchering the secular history too. Doesn't help you one whit when you root for pagans and try to subvert the righteous, cheering for an outright pagan regime that commited the biggest massacre of the 21st century.
