1 Samuel 2 v 7-9 ~ The LORD sends poverty and wealth; He humbles and He exalts. He raises the poor from the dust and lifts the needy from the ash heap. He seats them among princes and bestows on them a throne of honor. For the foundations of the earth are the LORD’s, and upon them He has set the world. He guards the ste

Hmm.....

So, if a mature Christian with the indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit (who teaches us the spiritual meaning of Scripture) does not believe Calvins teachings are NOT saved?
You are missing the point of election.

If a person does not believe in Calvin's teachings than it is obvious that they are not a mature Christian nor do they have the indwelling presence of the Holy Spirit.

IOW, God will only give the ability to believe Calvin's teachings to the elect.

You have to accept the circular reasoning of their theology to live in their world.

People with CDS reject, contradict, and deny a slew of Scriptures. Some
rewrite the very words of Jesus Christ to make them suit their opinions.

They mock and scorn many verses and repeatedly slander
those who believe what Scripture explicitly articulates.

When they start blaspheming God it can get quite disgusting.

They also lie about Calvin but what else can we expect from liars?

You are unsound logically. I've put my faith in Christ and I won't contest my reply. Neither would I need to cross any line. What I would have to do is correct many assumptions and falsehoods from people who don't even know what saved by grace means, don't understand what grace is, and routinely say that salvation is by grace but add requirements to it.

While I do value you greatly as one who bears the image of God, I find little value in your posts. I do appreciate the discussion and truly do desire God's blessings upon you.

Grace and peace.

You totally ignored my thorough and detailed post about the very supposed 2 questions you asked. You know, I find that very dishonest of you.

See, the thing is, the Bible is actually a spiritual book and best understood through the Holy Spirit.....in fact, one of his jobs is as TEACHER. When that happens, people do not understand OT prophecy directed at Israel as applicable to themselves in a positive way; not understanding God is about to punish. Now of course we can benefit from all of scripture and we also see God's patience and longsuffering love displayed towards idol worshipping Israel. But....He does not overlook such sin and eventually it catches up with the sinner and they bear the consequeces of their idol worship.

You are unsound logically.

Well you tell yourself that. Say I don't understand grace, continue with false accusations and then say you value me. You are clueless and sound ridiculous and your posts have lost all value since you ignore the answer to the questions you said you posted BECAUSE you thought I could not answer them.

I mean the more I hear from Calvinists and even those like yourself who claim not to be Calvinists and twist what others say, not to mention scripture, the less I could ever believe what y'all believe. Why? Because you are rude, untruthful and always always try to change the focus so that you come out as a 'winner'.

I think you are safe regarding the prophets but not in the way you think. The rules to interacting with you and those like you, change as you go along and referring to the Holy Spirit as logic, is why you cannot arrive at the truth. You are not fooling anyone.

Proverbs29-27-Luke16-15b.png

Proverbs 29 verse 27, Luke 16 verse 15b ~ The righteous detest the dishonest; the wicked detest the upright. What is highly esteemed among men is an abomination in the sight of God.

There is no mention of sheep nations or goat nations anywhere in the Bible, as far as I know.

What translation do you have? (not really asking)

31“When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, he will sit on his glorious throne. 32;All the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate the people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. 33He will put the sheep on his right and the goats on his left. Matt.25

Nations....metaphor with sheep and goats.

Romans9-11-13.png

Romans 9 verses 11-13 ~ Before the twins were born or had done anything good or bad, in order that God’s plan of election might stand, not by works but by Him who calls, she (Rebekah) was told, “The older will serve the younger.” So it is written: “Jacob I loved, but Esau I hated.”

You see the main flaw of people who have let the tenets of TULIP come into their mind is they read scripture as being highly individualized, that is a real problem .

You hit the truth here. Being persuaded of your very special and unique standing apart from all the fire fodder, would result in
seeing/understanding, through a very different lens.

I do not think the judgment will be national, declaring on nation to be sheep and another nation goats.

The nations will be gathered before Him, then “he will separate the people one from another”, which indicates individuals being classified as a sheep or a goat.

He accomplished His mission, as surely as you accomplish Calvin's. I can only hear Calvin's voice when you speak.

I agree, but his Calvin cosplay is not that good. He regularly posts conflicting statements, puts 2 negatives in the same sentence and copy/pastes when he really wants to sound assertive. He is faithful in his efforts though.

This is the problem when you have a lens, I know that it almost impossible to see outside of that lens.
In addition to what I already stated,

Paul is reassuring them that they are legitimate members of God’s holy people.
He wants them to know that they are not guilty of “being uninvited guests” in God’s kingdom; they had been graciously invited in by Christ Jesus himself.
Paul is saying, “God has granted you Philippians, as representatives of the Gentile nations, entry into the Messianic hope of Israel.”

He is not saying each of you as individuals have been granted salvation to the exclusion of other individuals.
There is no lens. I read what is there. I see nothing of Paul telling the Philippians that they are representatives of the Gentile nations.

Jesus saves 100 percent. period. You don't like that answer? Why? Does it not live up to master Calvin's standards?

Now how can Calvinists feel specical if we remind them they are just like everyone else that Jesus died for ?

But He says He will separate people from one another, not nations.

Perhaps some would like to take a few minutes to praise God with me :D

Eternal Worth

But He says He will separate people from one another, not nations.

I can't help you if you do not see what is plainly written. The PEOPLE of the NATIONS.

31“When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, he will sit on his glorious throne. 32;All the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate the people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. 33He will put the sheep on his right and the goats on his left. Paul wrote to the Philippian believers:

(Php 1:29 NKJV) For to you it has been granted on behalf of Christ, not only to believe in Him, but also to suffer for His sake,

So belief/faith is indeed a gift granted by God.

Truth we believe has become faith.

God first gives us the Word to believe in.

"So then faith comes by hearing,
and hearing by the word of God." Romans 10:17

Any part of the Word that has been clarified, and made understandable by someone presenting the Word to us accurately?
The faith that comes from it is a gift from God!
And, not only at the point of salvation.

So...
All accurate teaching that God brings our way.
And we believe it?
Becomes faith added to faith, and is His gift to us, for our spiritual growth and blessings in Christ!

We need to beware of false teaching for that reason.
False teaching is designed to rob and steal us of further growing in knowing Christ.
Nice pictures and a smiley face does not make for sound teaching.
It makes for salesmanship for a junk product designed to destroy our spiritual health.

I dunno. But I can think of some pretty goatish nations right now

We need to beware of false teaching for that reason.
Such as claiming everybody hears, as FWers repeatedly claim against the very words of Christ.

And claiming posting Scripture is false teaching.

But FWers are incorrigible like that.

Denying and contradicting what the Bible explicitly articulates.

Not a good look for them but it is their preferred modus operandi.
