I realize that many people will not open a document that is linked so I will get around to copying the document to later posts. But here is a summary of what is in it.

The addendum argues that the 144,000 of Revelation 7 and 14 are not an ethnically Jewish company but the church's own raptured, glorified overcomers — identified by faith in Christ rather than bloodline. It builds this case by testing itself against 2 Peter 1:20–21: since all Scripture has one Author, no reading of Revelation 7 can require the Spirit to contradict what He already said elsewhere.

The ethnicity question is settled from inside Israel's own family tree. Romans 9:6–8 states that "they are not all Israel, which are of Israel" — physical descent was never the qualifying category, even for the twelve tribes themselves. Reading Revelation 7 as an ethnic census would reopen the "middle wall of partition" Ephesians 2:14–15 says Christ already broke down. The strongest internal confirmation comes from Revelation itself: the New Jerusalem's twelve gates (Revelation 21:12–14, 24–26) bear the same tribal names and are explicitly open to "the nations," proving John uses tribal vocabulary inclusively elsewhere in the same book.

The specificity objection — why such a precise number if not a literal census — gets a positive answer rather than a dismissal: Christ sent the twelve two-by-two (Mark 6:7) and the seventy(-two) two-by-two (Luke 10:1); 144,000 is that same pairing multiplied a thousandfold. The document is careful to flag that the cleanest math depends on a genuine, disputed manuscript variant (seventy vs. seventy-two).

The tribal-list anomalies each get resolved from within the canon rather than by appeal to outside sources. Judah leads because Christ, "the Lion of the tribe of Juda" (Revelation 5:5), is the army's Commander — reinforced by Joshua 5:13–14, where the pre-incarnate Christ calls Himself "captain of the host of the LORD." Levi's inclusion, despite exclusion from Israel's military censuses, is explained by 2 Chronicles 20 (Levites leading Jehoshaphat's army with praise alone) and Revelation 19:15's sword that "proceeds out of his mouth" — a non-carnal weapon, not the Qumran War Scroll Heiser's sources reach for. Dan's omission is tied to the tribe's name ("he judged"), read against Job 42 and Matthew 7:1–2 as disqualifying: a priesthood commissioned to intercede cannot include the one tribe named for judgment.

Beale's four structural contrasts between the 144,000 and the "great multitude" are answered individually rather than waved away: numbered vs. uncountable mirrors trained company vs. harvest; tribal vs. international reflects Galatians 4:19's "Christ be formed in you" — formed versus newly gathered, not ethnic versus Gentile; earth vs. heaven is resolved by the "servants of our God" title (matching Paul, James, Peter, and Jude's own self-designation) plus a resurrection body unbound by walls; imminent peril vs. completed tribulation converges at Revelation 15:2's sea of glass, where both companies stand together.

The protection question gets its fullest treatment: the seal proves two things — love, publicly demonstrated per Christ's promise to Philadelphia (Revelation 3:9), and immunity, not as a bodyguard against harm but as a settled, resurrected state no longer vulnerable to the beast's mark. This same company is then unveiled at the end of the age as the army of Revelation 19:11–16, clothed in the identical fine linen as the bride — the seal made visible.

Summary: The Sheep and Goats — A Tribulation-Specific Reading

This document argues that Matthew 25:31-46 is not a picture of the church's judgment, and not a generic call to charity, but a precise description of the Great White Throne judgment (Revelation 20:11-15) — with a specific, narrow test built for the tribulation period. The "sheep" are not born-again believers; they are unbelievers who refused the mark of the beast and risked their lives to help persecuted believers during the tribulation. Yes, it can be applied more widely, but it fits this scenario so tightly we cannot ignore this as a light for anyone considering taking the mark of the beast, regardless of whether or not they have received the redeeming blood of Jesus Christ. Because they didn't commit the specific sin the mark represents — idolatrous worship of the beast — they are not blotted out of the book of life, even though their is no evidence they ever made a conscious profession of faith in Christ. The "goats" are people who took the mark or otherwise refused to help Christ's persecuted people, and are cast into the same everlasting fire "prepared for the devil and his angels." This judgement is not based on sins having been forgiven, but rather they were merciful to others and so God is merciful to them.

Why this matters as a warning. During the tribulation, taking the mark of the beast is an act of idolatry that seals a person's fate — but refusing the mark and showing mercy to persecuted believers, even without any formal conversion, keeps a door open that many assume is already closed to unbelievers. It is not a door to being born again, but it is a door to inheriting the restored earth as God's creatures. The document's warning to unbelievers facing the mark, it says the choice they make about the mark and about mercy is not a small economic inconvenience but a decision with eternal weight.

Key structural argument. The document's tightest claim is this: the lake of fire is mentioned in only one place in Scripture for ordinary human beings — Revelation 20:15, tied to the book of life. Any interpretation of Matthew 25 that lands the goats in "everlasting fire" without identifying that fire as the Great White Throne owes an answer to a very specific question: where else does the Bible describe humans being cast into the lake of fire? Since no other passage supplies that, competing judgment schemes (a separate "judgment of the nations" at the start of the millennium, Armageddon, etc.) are shown to be distractions from the real burden of proof, not alternative solutions to it.

Other key developments. The document also draws a careful distinction between justification by faith and this passage's criterion of "not having sinned against God" — arguing this is an Exodus 32:33-style standard (not idolatry, not cruelty to God's people) rather than new birth. It also flags a real grammatical distinction in the Greek ("from" vs. "before" the foundation of the world) that most standard commentaries pass over without argument, and uses the sheep's and goats' shared unawareness of any relationship to Christ as evidence neither group is presented in the text as regenerate and yet they are aware of showing mercy to Jesus' brethren indicating a very keen awareness of the decision they made during the tribulation to either help or not help the believers.

So there are eight writers in the NT.
1) Matthew, 2) Mark, 3) Luke, 4) John, 5) Paul, 6) James, 7) Peter, 8) Jude

James and Jude are Jesus' natural brothers, having the same mother.
The writer of Hebrews is one of those eight.

I think Hebrews is written by Paul and James and perhaps Peter.

In the simplest terms, why is taking the mark met with such a harsh judgment.
A couple of months ago my daughter (22) responded that the Savior is more merciful than to take such a blanketed judgment.
I explained, although inadequate.

Well then let your daughter read this account in Matthew 25 about the sheep and the goats (Post 16,545) and explain to her that the Mark of the beast will prevent people who worship the lord from eating, from being clothed and will even cause them to go to prison because they refuse to worship the beast. The people who do worship the beast will take the mark because they worship money and they will go along with this persecution of people that worship the Lord. She may not realize it but this worship of the beast is idolatry and is not harmless, to take part in that is directly sinning against the Body of Christ and to impose those restrictions on people who refuse to worship the beast is merciless. If you treat others without mercy then God also will treat you without mercy. Whether or not you believe in Jesus is one thing, but all of us, regardless of whether or not we believe in Jesus will have to answer for the things we do in this life and the mark of the beast is more cruel than wearing the Nazi insignia and being a member of the Gestapo.

Unmasking Tribulation's counterfeit gospel

The False gospel of the tribulation
"Far be it from you, Lord! This shall never happen to you."

The false gospel in a nutshell. Jesus became Lord by paying the price to redeem us, you don’t have to pay any price and yet you are “Lord!”. This is like claiming you are the champion without having to enter the ring to battle for the championship. You are a phony, you don’t bring salvation to anyone, all you care about is saving yourself.

In the book of Revelation we see this distorted gospel. Nicolaitans, Balaam, Jezebel all share one strategy: don't confront, accommodate.

  • Nicolaitans: cheap grace says the cross already paid for sin, so sin doesn't need to be resisted now. Grace becomes license to sin. In this gospel Jesus paid a very high price to save you from sin, but rather than you go and do likewise, they behave like spoiled entitled children of a rich father.
  • Balaam: "can't we all just get along with the culture around us" — but Numbers 25 shows exactly what happens: intermarriage and idol-feasts brought plague into the camp. Compromise doesn't neutralize sin's corruption, it imports it.
  • Jezebel: dresses the same avoidance in mystical language — "deep things," advanced revelation — so refusing to confront sin looks like spiritual maturity rather than cowardice.
The distorted gospel's method is integration — and Revelation's verdict on integration is always the same: it doesn't neutralize corruption, it spreads it. "A little leaven leavens the whole lump" is Paul's version of the same warning (Gal 5:9, 1 Cor 5:6).

2. The Counterfeit Trinity vs. Faith, Hope, Love

1 Corinthians 13:13 gives the true triad; Revelation 13 gives the counterfeit of each member:

  • The dragon counterfeits the object of faith. True faith rests trust in the Father's authority, unseen and vindicated only at the end. The dragon offers something faith isn't supposed to need: visible, present, tangible power. You don't have to trust an invisible God who lets you suffer now and rewards you later — you can trust a power you can see working right now.
  • The beast counterfeits the object of hope. True hope is resurrection hope — Christ genuinely died and genuinely rose, and that pattern is promised to us (1 Cor 15:20-23). The beast's wound is healed rather than truly died-and-risen — a parody that offers permanence and continuity without ever passing through real death. It's hope in a world-system that just keeps surviving, rather than hope in a God who raises the dead.
  • The false prophet counterfeits the shape of love. True love, per 1 Corinthians 13, is patient, doesn't insist on its own way, and is proved by sacrifice — the Spirit's fruit is produced by, and testifies to, a crucified Christ. The false prophet's "love" is enforced allegiance: worship or be killed (13:15). It's loyalty extracted by threat, not love drawn out by sacrifice. It looks like devotion but it's actually terror wearing devotion's clothes.
Faith in what you can see, the “show me the money” gospel because everything is a counterfeit and everyone is a liar. You don’t conquer death, you pretend to and as a result you are still terrified of death. There is no “knowledge surpassing love”, soon you discover how dry and tasteless that money is without love, and there is no “peace that passes understanding”, you live in terror every day.

3. Seal vs. Mark — Protection Traded for Protection, Inverted

The 144,000 are sealed before the trumpet judgments fall (7:1-3) so the locusts cannot harm them (9:4) — but the seal doesn't exempt them from tribulation itself. They still go through Revelation 7:14 — "these are the ones coming out of the great tribulation." The seal guarantees final belonging (14:1, standing with the Lamb on Zion) and ultimate refuge, not comfortable passage. Genuine champions are not afraid to battle for that championship.

The mark of the beast is the reverse, it guarantees immediate, practical security — you can buy and sell, participate in the economy, avoid persecution (13:17) — at the cost of drinking "the wine of God's wrath" and receiving torment with no rest, day or night (14:9-11). You enter into an agreement where you willingly go into their prison, you are on death row and you know the judgment is coming, but you took this trade so you could eat and drink today. Cowards die a thousand deaths and those that take the mark of the beast do it because of cowardice, not because of ignorance.

I remember being deceived once and I was angry with the Lord. I said “why didn’t you warn me?” He replied “I did”. If you are a believer in fellowship with the Lord you cannot claim ignorance. You get deceived because you want to. You fall for that “too good to be true” offer because you want it to be true. But if you are honest you will know that the Lord did warn you, but you were like Balaam hitting that donkey. We are led by our lusts, Jesus told you whether or not you received it, that you must take up your cross and follow Him. If you do not put those lusts to death then you will be deceived by them, and you will blame God, but in reality the fault is yours and you know it.

Whoever tries to save his life (take the mark, keep your ability to eat and trade, avoid the sword) will lose it eternally; whoever loses his life for Christ's sake (refuse the mark, accept exclusion, possibly die) will find it. The seal of the Lord doesn't buy you comfort now. The mark of the Beast doesn't buy you safety later. The distorted gospel — present ease purchased with future ruin.

4. Harlot vs. Bride — Adultery vs. Fidelity

The apostate church is defined by transaction: she sells herself to "the kings of the earth" for wealth and luxury, and Revelation 18:3, 9, 11-13 catalogues the commerce in obscene detail — she is loved for what she provides, not for who she is, and the relationship dissolves the instant the goods stop flowing (18:9-10 — the same kings who committed immorality with her weep from a distance rather than defend her). It is intimacy without fidelity, purchased rather than given. During slavery in the South the slave holders made this transaction with preachers who taught slaves that it was Biblical to be slaves. The slaves trusted the preachers and listened to them and the preachers traded that trust with slave holders for goods. Yet those same Scriptures, in the hands of preachers like Nat Turner, produced the opposite reading entirely — not a gospel of submission traded for the slaveholder's favor, but a gospel of judgment and liberation; the same text, handled by two different loyalties, yielded the harlot's transaction in one case and something closer to the true gospel's refusal to accommodate in the other.

Nat Turner, Martin Luther King Jr. and the Apostle Peter

Nat Turner is not a clean example — his reading of Scripture toward liberation rather than submission supports the point, but the violence of the uprising itself, including against women and children, isn't something the true gospel would own as a model. Martin Luther King Jr. is the far better example: he preached the same liberating gospel from the same Scriptures, refused to trade that gospel for the comfort of accommodation, and paid for that refusal with his life — much closer to the seal-bearer's pattern than the harlot's transaction. But King, too, was not perfect; no human example ever is. And that is itself the point. The same Peter who once told Jesus the cross wasn't necessary is later found in Acts 8:18-23, rebuking Simon the sorcerer for trying to purchase the Spirit's power with money — the very "champion without entering the ring" counterfeit named at the start of this piece. Peter did not stay in his error; he was corrected, and he became the one correcting others. That is the pattern the New Testament actually gives us: not flawless men, but men willing to be shown their error and to repent of it. As Paul puts it, "if in any thing ye be otherwise minded, God shall reveal even this unto you" (Phil 3:15).

There is no repentance in the false gospel

The true gospel doesn't require a perfect messenger — it requires a repentant one. The distorted gospel has no mechanism for this. Peter could be corrected and go on to correct others precisely because the true gospel has a category for repentance built into its foundation — the cross itself is God's provision for exactly this. But the counterfeit system cannot afford that category. Like organized crime, it survives on everyone's silence and complicity, so even the appearance that someone might turn state's evidence, might repent and expose the transaction, is treated as a mortal threat to be silenced rather than a change to be welcomed. Judas's fate is instructive here — when he tried to reverse the transaction, giving back the money and confessing 'I have betrayed innocent blood' (Matt 27:4), the chief priests' answer was 'what is that to us? see thou to that' — no forgiveness offered, only cold dismissal, because their system had no provision for anyone walking it back.

The harlot is a relationship of extraction — what can I get from this power? That's the difference between a gospel that uses God for benefits and a gospel that receives God as a gift.

5. Seducing the Kings

Emperor worship in Roman Asia Minor was a literal system: provincial elites and client kings who burned incense to Caesar's genius received tangible political favor, tax relief, and standing; those who refused (as Christians did) faced real exclusion from trade guilds and courts. The Bible's audience wasn't reading science fiction; they were reading a description of the world they were already navigating. We see the very same thing in the movie “Schindler’s list”. Schindler is a business man, he offers gifts to Nazi leaders who in turn give him business. He hires Jews to run his business because they are smart and also because they have no other option and he can get them as cheap labor. The movie is about someone who lived this and ultimately repented when he realized this was a broad way that ended in destruction. He had to pay everything he had to turn around and avoid that destruction.

6. What Is the Distorted Gospel Actually Worshipping?

Save yourself, preserved and exalted, without passing through sacrifice and death.

  • The dragon offers authority without submission — worship of power.
  • The beast offers permanence without resurrection — worship of survival.
  • The false prophet offers spiritual experience without truth — worship of sensation.
  • The mark offers provision without allegiance — worship of comfort.
  • The harlot offers intimacy without fidelity — worship of gain.
The root underneath all five: exchanging the truth of God for a lie, and worshipping and serving the creature rather than the Creator.

This is the mind the tribulation saints must carry, and it is the same mind the distorted gospel cannot conceive of. Paul names it plainly: 'Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus: who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God: but made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men: and being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross' (Phil 2:5-8). Christ already held the Lordship the counterfeit gospel wants for free — and He emptied Himself of it, took the form of a servant, and walked into death. That is the mind Peter didn't yet have at Caesarea Philippi, and it is the mind every seal-bearer, every faithful witness, every martyr under the altar (6:9-11) must have to stand in the tribulation without taking the mark. Not a mind that avoids the cross, but one that, like its Lord, endures it — because that is the only mind the true gospel has ever offered.

Is this the deeds of the Nicolaitans?

Is this the deeds of the Nicolaitans?
I believe that the deeds of the Nicolaitans is the clergy/laity system. One person does the work and feeds the sheep each week, while everyone else lets him do the work. It is very difficult to prove. You can easily prove the principle of the damage of a clergy / laity system, but what you can't prove is that this is what the "deeds of the nicolaitans" refers to. You can interpret the greek word for nicolaitan to "climb over the laity" but that creates a lot of strife. After all there is a whole clergy laity system that is condemned by that interpretation.

10 VIRGINS - 10 REVELATION 12 SIGNS - 10 YEAR DELAY

One interesting point, Jupiter which was in the womb of Virgo in 2017 and came out of the womb after being there for nine months has just completed a circuit of the other constellations. The planet Jupiter, which sat in the womb of Virgo at the time of the Revelation 12 sign (entering approximately November 2016, exiting approximately September 2017), has since completed a full circuit of the ecliptic — passing through Libra, Scorpio, Sagittarius, Capricorn, Aquarius, Pisces, Aries, Taurus, Gemini, and Cancer — arriving in Leo, the crown above Virgo's head, on September 24, 2026: one day before the Feast of Tabernacles begins. The Feast of Tabernacles is the wedding feast. The story of the ten virgins is that they are woken up to go to the feast and that on the way half of them had to go buy oil and only half made it. If the crown is the destination then this really points to the 9/11 to 9/24 time period as being very significant. Not only do we have the ten virgins for the last ten years, but we also have the manchild being born and growing from an infant into a child that is then caught up to the crown over the woman's head. The raptured saints and the "joy and crown" of God's people.

A friend sent me his new analysis that has 9/11/2026 as the date as well. Although he arrived at the date through a series of prophecies.
Interesting that the twin towers were taken down on this date, 25 years ago. Coincidence?

He is presenting this to our group tomorrow evening. He writes:
"There does appear to be a problem with this timeline however. It works very well up to the beginning of Tishrei and the Exodus. However, this means that the Tribulation has to begin likely in early September and not in Tishrei. The famine and wars should begin on July 24, 2026.

ZNP, I think you also identified July 24 as a critical date.
