Thank you, I will keep these verses in mind to meditate onHi @ciicii
As I read and reread through this thread, I keep thinking of things I want to share, but just haven't had time to write out.
But as I read through, there are a few verses that keep coming to mind that I wanted to share with you.
Verses which I have found much encouragement in.
1 Corinthians 10:31
Therefore, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of God.
Colossians 3:17
And whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through Him.
And the one that sticks out to me the most is
Colossians 3:23
Whatever you do, work at it with your whole being, as for the Lord and not for men,
Yay, you repliedFirst I am really sorry to hear that. Going through a divorce myself I would not wish that on anyone but I have also just gotten closer and closer to God in the process.
Yeah I posted this a while back but all the continuous opinions and openness has really helped me realize that I need to be proud of what I am doing if this is where God wants me to be and what he thinks about everything. So I was able to walk around at work the other day and not feel ashamed about my 'unimpressive' position.
This does help a lot though thank you! Knowing that most men seem to value character and beign a team where we can lift each other up and not necessarily about the Job title or 'prestige' of it.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts, it is a really help. I think my mindset before was and has been from the enemy for so long I could not even tell anymore that they were not my own or godly thoughts. I really want to build myself up to be the best I can be for God and for my husband, and I see that doesn't have anything to do with a high salary. This intentions are good but not necessary like I had thought - I just need to be a good steward of what God has given me.
Anyway thank you again and I pray you are doing well.
Oh thank you, I hope we get to talk again soon too. Yes this is a great place to be with brothers and sisters in Christ and just relax for a while.Yay, you replied
Honestly, I have had such a struggle to hear back from anyone at all that I have reached out to, so thank YOU very much ciicii.
It's just great to get the mind off the usual sad topics for a few minutes isn't it!
Well I noticed you like reading old books. I would like to recommend one to you, it is called "Remarkable incidents and modern miracles through prayer and faith" by G.C. Bevington. He was a holiness evangelist in the 1920's. To be honest, it will either interest you or not. But this is more about me being pleased to hear back from you. I have been so damaged by abuse and lost most of my confidence towards people. Hopefully you make quick progress through your situation. go from strength to strength and find the closeness to the Lord that you are craving for. I believe He has greater blessings than you ever dreamed of! Paul in NZ
Thank you, I will keep these verses in mind to meditate on<3
Thank you for adding your input. It is extremely helpful.Heya miss CiiCii, welcome to the site!
I'm not sure if you're looking for more input, but I was also thinking of the verses @Godsgirl1983 mentioned. Thought I'd throw my 2 cents in just in case it's helpful.
My job is not a prestigious or high-paying position either, but I've found it's less about what you do and more about how you do it. I supervise several high school students at any given time, often in a "first job" situation. Likely you will as well. You will have tremendous potential to further the kingdom of God just by the way you conduct yourself.
I don't know what your workplace would allow, but offering to pray with workers when they are going through things and just in general being a Godly presence in a world of chaos can go a really long way. Even your situation with your husband is something God will likely use to help you minister to a coworker at some point, though I know it's not a pleasant thing to go through.
Anyways, chin up m'lady! You have a very calm and reasonable spirit about you, I just know that God is going to use it in great ways during this next chapter of your life![]()

One thing women I find don’t understand about men is we don’t care what you make or what your job title is. That’s something women care about in men. The simple truth is this physically men care about attractive women (and when I mean that men are not as picky as women think we are). When it comes to other things, the most important thing to men is respect. We just want to be respected for who we are and what we do. Sure there are other things we find attractive like taking care of the household (cooking, cleaning, laundry ect.) But ultimately, if we feel our partner doesn’t respect us, we feel like there’s no point in the relationship. We’re willing to lift the heavyweights we’re willing to work the long hours and sacrifice a lot for our wives. But if there’s no respect in the relationship, we don’t see the point or purpose of us there.I am currently going through a divorce but this has always been a huge fear of mine. I am more than willing to work if my husband needs it, but ultimately I want to be a house wife (like a hard working one obviously).
And I have learned many skills to ensure I am a good one with financials, budgeting, other labors etc (not really the point). But Now I am back working, and I guess this is the high school career classes still influencing me. But I find that when I consider myself I am not worth a good christian man.
we all want like a handsome strong man by outsides, but I think of the man also wanting a strong christian woman. and although I know my faith is strong, I would be embarrassed if my husband has his own business and I am here working in a grocery store. I am good with savings and all that, but the title of my job seems to be a dilema and I am not sure if that is one sided or not.
So I would like your thoughts on that, and any other red flags or green flags you think are important from a male perspective, becuase I think they are very different the more I think about it.
but i still my biggest fear is meeting in laws and saying im a grocery Ast. manager, but is that even a valid fear to have?
That's fair. Thank youOne thing women I find don’t understand about men is we don’t care what you make or what your job title is. That’s something women care about in men. I hope that helps you out. Don’t worry about what you do for a living or how much money you make. I promise you unless a man’s looking for a sugar mama we just don’t care about that kind of stuff.
