The USA is unique in this respect among ALL THE NATIONS ON THE PLANET.
Only the USA has a constitution that declares our rights were given to us by God and then seeks to limit the Government's ability to infringe upon these rights..
Everyone else does something else. No one has the same rights as the USA does.

Is someone born in the country after the parent(s) entered illegally "under the justification thereof" the US? A 5-4 decision said yes, but I don't think they should be. If someone breaks into your house, are they now a homeowner?

If parents birth while in the country illegally that should disqualify citizenship of their progeny.

But I can also see there being some extenuating circumstances. However
just giving people who break the law carte blanche is wrong, in my opinion.

You are lying about Trump. Birthright citizenship is a faulty interpretation of the 14th Amendment with zero historical backing and plenty that refutes it.

That is part of the problem with bottom-up systems where every blockhead can vote. We can see it in the results. Politicians are seldom held to account by voters. Top-down, like kings, could be far better for all, provided the king is Godly and a protector. Bottom-up voting is subject to cheating by one side or the other, gerrymandering, money, lies, etc. All that would be eliminated by top-down systems, which is really what the collective culture deserves. The USA really cannot handle bottom-up anymore since it has warped into the abomination it is now.
 
I'm sure the Lord will scold all of those who voted wrong.

Most people only look at the 1st article of the 14th amendment; but the 5th article gives congress the ability to legislate on the matter- which they did; defining who and who wasn't "under jurisdiction" of the US in the immigration and nationality act.

IOW, congress should have edited the INA 30 years ago; but didnt.

No. It doesn't apply to those who have at least one parent who is an American citizen.

The way the media is reporting is idiotic. Trump isn't trying to "get rid of birthright citizenship"- he's trying exclude illegal aliens from obtaining it.

All they do is try to obfuscate and confuse; especially when it comes to race/nationality etc.
