I think the Day of the Lord is from the coming of Christ in glory through to the New Heavens and New Earth.

The Day of The Lord
Revelation 20
1 And I saw an angel come down from heaven, having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand.
2 And he laid hold on the dragon, that old serpent, which is the Devil, and Satan, and bound him a thousand years,
3 And cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal upon him, that he should deceive the nations no more, till the thousand years should be fulfilled: and after that he must be loosed a little season.
4 And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshipped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years.
5 But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection.

That is essentially the same - it is the 1000-year reign of Christ on the earth - what you have indicated here may certainly be considered to be 'bookend' events...
Fair enough. It was more in saying at this point its over and done and the church age has begun.
all the peoples of the earth would mourn, and they would see Him coming on the clouds with power and great glory.
I don't see a vision from one man fulfilling this. Its not all the peoples and they are not all seeing him coming on the clouds. It would also include Rome. But Rome didn't mourn over their victory.
2Peter3:8 and Psalms 90:4. 1000 years is a day to the Lord in a day is 1000 years. Now if 1000 years is a dated lord, did Adam die in a day? Yes, he lived to be 930 years old. So we’re living in the last day. The Sabbath day. It says that the last day will be cut short in revelations. The reason for the thousand years of peace and rest and why Satan locked in a pit is because we didn’t have a sabbath rest on earth so we have a Sabbath rest in heaven for 1000 years which is a day to the Lord. After that Satan will be released and the second resurrection will happen. God will give everybody a chance again to do everything right. But they won’t. All God‘s children will be taking in the first resurrection. He will take them before this world kills itself.Everybody thinks God is a god of good and evil. That God kills. He doesn’t. If you look at when Jesus and the disciples went into Samaria to get food and were turned away. John and James said Lord, let us bring fire and brimstone down and kill everybody. What did Jesus say? Get behind me Satan.
In Matthew 24 the disciples asked Jesus three questions at the start: when the Temple would be destroyed, what would be the sign of His coming, and what about the end of the age.
When you get to verses 29-31 where He talks about the sun and moon going dark, the sign of the Son of Man, and sending out His angels with a trumpet to gather the elect from all over the earth that’s clearly Him answering the last two questions about His actual return and the end of the age.
This isn’t talking about 70 AD. Back then nobody saw the Son of Man coming on the clouds, all the tribes of the earth didn’t mourn, and there was no worldwide gathering of the elect by angels. Jesus even says this happens “immediately after the tribulation of those days.” He’s describing a very visible, global event at the end the same one Paul talks about with the trumpet in 1 Thessalonians 4 and John in Revelation.
So yeah, that part is still future.
You need to compare scripture with scripture, do a Bible search on "cloud" as in the many times God appeared as a cloud, and study the prophetic language used throughout the bible about previous judgements. We are talking symbolic language here. The Bible interprets itself.
The known world at the time was the Roman world and the gospel was preached and spread to every part of it.
Not understanding the language is the error of the futurist, who expect the stars to literally fall etc. I thought by you understanding there was no gap in Daniels 70 weeks that you wasn't a futurist.
BTW - I am not a preterist who thinks all prophecy got fulfilled in 70AD, nor a futurist who thinks everything is future. I am a Historicist that believes the book of Revelation presents in symbols the entire course of history from the close of the first century onwards.
Can we agree that the last week of the 70 weeks is when Jesus came.

Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times.
69 weeks from the start until Jesus...

One Week (7 Years): The final "seventieth week" was devoted to the confirmation of the covenant with many Daniel 9:27.

The prophecy does not stop after 69 weeks. Or 69 and a half weeks.
There was half a week left after the death of Christ for people to make up their minds.
The door of the Ark closed without a fuss and those outside where lost.
Israel's time ran out as a nation.
The remaining three and a half years of the prophecy concluded in the autumn of A.D. 34, marked by the stoning of Stephen and the gospel being taken to the Gentiles.
Act 7:55-57
55 But he, being full of the Holy Ghost, looked up stedfastly into heaven, and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing on the right hand of God, 56 And said, Behold, I see the heavens opened, and the Son of man standing on the right hand of God. 57 Then they cried out with a loud voice, and stopped their ears, and ran upon him with one accord,. 59 KJV And they stoned Stephen, calling upon God, and saying, Lord Jesus, receive my spirit.
When Jesus Stands .... the probation has ended.
Not for individuals but for the nation.
They can still accept Jesus Today

A day in the Bible equals a year. So 70×70 is 490 years. it represents the probation It was a probation. Period for the Jews. It started at 4:57 BC when the Jews were released from captation from Babylon. It ended in 8034. It’s a stoning of Stephen. Look up who William Miller is. In 1830s he unlocked all the prophecies in Daniel.
The 2300 year prophecy also started in 457 BC. It ended in October 1844. The problem they made with the prophecy, is they thought the sanctuary was the Earth but it was the sanctuary in heaven. It’s when Jesus moved from the holy place into the most holy place and the books were open. He started judgment. It says a revelations that all the dead will be judged first, and then they’re living.Yes
If the start of the last week... the last 7 years, was when Jesus began His ministry. At His baptism. It was 27ad.
3 and a half years pasted and He was crucified. Now Israel only had 3 and a half years left.
The gospel was preached and the truth was repeated..

In the prophecy of the last week of the 70 years. That was Jesus’s ministry. It said he would be cut off in the middle of the week. That was 3 1/2 years.. But the prophecy said his ministry will last for a full week. The other 3 1/2 years of his ministry was Jesus teaching Paul in the desert. Thus fulfilling the prophecy of the whole week Jesus wasn’t physically alive, but he was still teaching Paul.

In Ezekiel chapter 4, the prophet is being told the destiny of Israel and the destiny of Judah.
Ezekiel 4:4 Lie thou also upon thy left side, and lay the iniquity of the house of Israel upon it: according to the number of the days that thou shalt lie upon it thou shalt bear their iniquity.
5 For I have laid upon thee the years of their iniquity, according to the number of the days, three hundred and ninety days: so shalt thou bear the iniquity of the house of Israel.
6 And when thou hast accomplished them, lie again on thy right side, and thou shalt bear the iniquity of the house of Judah forty days: I have appointed thee each day for a year.
Notice it says "I have laid upon thee the years of their iniquity, according to the number of the days. three hundred and ninety days: so shalt thou bear the iniquity of the house of Israel."

It was sealed because it wasn’t supposed to be revealed till the last day. If you look up in the Old Testament, it says all through there in that day or in the last day. It wasn’t meant to be revealed until the Sabbath day. If you look at second, Peter chapter 3 verse eight and psalms 90 verse four. 1000 years as a dated the Lord in a day is 1000 years.. Now if 1000 years is a day to the Lord, did Adam die in a day? Yes he did. He lived to be 930 years old. And if 1000 years is a day to the Lord, what they are we living in now? We are living in the last day the Sabbath. It says in revelations that the last day will be cut short. . That’s why we have 1000 year rest in heaven. Jesus has given us a day of sabbath rest. Then he comes down and has a second Resurrection. Jesus takes his sons and daughters in the first resurrection.
