So yea as the title says, walking from new york to california...for god for me and for a girl...I've always wanted to do this walk and I finally have a reason to do it...few weeks back I made a post about my ex girl and how I messed up and was flying there to fix things...things didn't work out too well at first they did we went ona date and it was great but like 5 days laterwe hada really bad argument and I said some things I regret...and she wants nothing to do with me now....and so I'm walking from new york to california...untill she forgives me and even if she does I'm gonna keep walking...I pray that god is with me on my adventure...even though it would seem I'm not putting him first...I am she's just important aswell

That walk is like faith. People say many things. But keep your eyes focused on the goal.

May Jesus bless you.

Wait im sorry, but i think someone should be the voice of reason here.
Your going to walk across the united states for a girl you dated for a week?? In your post you made it sound as though you and her had only been together a week, please correct me if im wrong! I really hope i am.

Do you have any idea how long it will take you to walk that far? I hope you have a lot of money saved up for hotels or do you plan on walking all night or sleeping on the street. How are you going to get water or are you planning on carrying around a big bookbag that will most likely slow you down and make the trip that much longer.
The Good lord gave us common sense i will pray you use some.

If a man walked from New York to California, hoping I'd take him back.....the answer would be: It depends. I could forgive him, but my answer would still be: It depends. See, I wouldn't be looking at his commitment to me, I'd be looking at the reasons why the argument broke out in the first place and checking to see if those issues had been resolved. I'd also be looking to see if the guy had figured out how not to get so upset that he would say hurtful things during our next argument (as there will be one). One more thing I'd be looking for is the guy's employment. I hope this coment doesn't hit too much of a nerve here on CC so let me explain before I get clobbered! :) Throughout our marriage, my husband and I have shared the role of income provider, sometimes one person provided, another time the other person provided, and sometimes both of us provided for our family. So yeah, I'd be looking to see that this guy could not only walk across the country for me (which takes saving up for the trip and planning for the resources needed and training for the physical requirements of having to carry a tent, water, and food, and emergency supplies), but also that he had a tangible job that would help provide for us and that he had thought through how to make sure the issues underlying the fight were resolved and had a plan in place to help ensure they wouldn't happen again.
I pray you are seeking God on this issue and that you have consulted God to see if this is His will for your life. Amen.

Lol I've actually only seen it once when I was small, and I've always wanted to do something like this...as far as the other questiong I was with her 3 years not 1 week. I read a book about this when I was 12 orso and ever since then wanted to do this,,now I have 3 reasons,to get closer to god and to try and show her I'm sorry, and a life long dream

As far as this, its just to show her my dedication andhow sorry I am...it'd begreat if she took me back but that's best case scenerio...as far as the things isaid, that was after the brake up and when we had tried fixingthings and then I felt insulted andsaid the things I did..which I had been upset with her before and never spoke to her that way ....that's why she was so hurt/upset...so that just made things worst...I just want her to see I'm sory rather then just say it..I'm currently working on getting the equipment I will need...as far ashotels ima have atent and sleeping bag, and several stops along the way..have some christian friends in states on my way there...who promise a feast and a place to shower ect...and id stay there a day...as far as the time of the walk it will take about 2 months..but she will know I'm on it...actually made a blog if anyone wants to see my progress, it will start nov 14th harleyswalk.blogspot.com

NY is in the NE part of the country, along the Atlantic coast. California is along the Pacific coast going as far south as bordering Mexico. Just under 4000km roughly.

Always take the lighted path. People do strange things in the dark. Even if it is the longer path, it is the safest path.

Crooked paths are misleading, they veer this way and that, and you could end up all turned around.
So the straight road is always the best one to take.

May Jesus bless you.
