Daniel 9:27 And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week:

"confirm" means to make strong and to cause to prevail.
Satan is a defeated enemy and does not do that.
I say "he" refers back to the Messiah.

Daniel 9:25 Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks:

The 70 weeks starts with the restoration of Jerusalem, and you have not yet told us when you think that happens.
If it is the second temple restoration we need 2000 or more years after the 70 weeks are finished to get to Antichrist.
Again, the timeline makes sense if "he" is Jesus.

Daniel 9:24 Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy.

Who does all these things?
I say Jesus does.

Here since you are a butchering the Bible and now just blaspheming God to justify your damnation worthy heresy I'm just going to copy paste the verses.

Daniel 9:25-27

25 Know therefore and understand, that from the going forth of the commandment to restore and to build Jerusalem unto the Messiah the Prince shall be seven weeks, and threescore and two weeks: the street shall be built again, and the wall, even in troublous times.

26 And after threescore and two weeks shall Messiah be cut off, but not for himself: and the people of the prince that shall come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary; and the end thereof shall be with a flood, and unto the end of the war desolations are determined.

27 And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.

I am currently working on a new interpretation of Daniel 9 timeline that fully explains the "gap" from the crucifixion to the end of the church age.

This is simply a rough draft, but it does explain in much greater detail a timeline from Daniel 9 all the way to the end of the age.

This is simply a rough draft, but it does explain in much greater detail a timeline from Daniel 9 all the way to the end of the age.

I find it astonishing that the very writings of the NT authors confirm this interregnum beyond the slightest shadow of a doubt, yet there are vast numbers of Christians who fail to comprehend the obvious.
I mean, we are literally abiding in and confirming this gap day in and day out.

This pause (in terms of the prophetic plan for the Nation Israel) only terminates with the harpazo, the Nissuin, the snatch.

נִשּׂוּאִין — Nissuin

Pronounced approximately nis-soo-EEN.

Nissuin denotes the completion of the marriage, particularly the stage in which the bride is transferred from her father’s household into the household of her husband. It derives from the Hebrew root:

נ־שׂ־א — nasa

Meaning:

to lift up,
to carry,
to bear,
to take away or transport.

Jewish explanations therefore associate nissuin with the bride being carried or conducted from her former home into her husband’s home.

That makes nissuin highly suggestive typologically of:

“I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.”
—John 14:3

Step 9 (of 12) — The bridegroom secretly comes for the bride

The bridegroom has already:

paid the bride-price,
established the covenant,
departed to prepare a dwelling place,
and left the betrothed bride waiting and watching.

At Step 9, the bridegroom returns—traditionally at an unannounced hour—and takes or “snatches away” his bride to the place he has prepared. This identifies directly with the harpazō/rapture of the Church:

“The Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout … and we shall be caught up together with them in the clouds.”
—1 Thessalonians 4:16–17

This is also how it connects the wedding motif to:

John 14:2–3 — “I go to prepare a place for you … I will come again, and receive you unto myself.”
Matthew 24:36 — the unknown “day and hour.”
Matthew 25:1–13 — the waiting virgins and the midnight cry.
Revelation 3:10 — the Church being kept out of the coming worldwide testing.

Christ’s reference to the unknown day and hour points to “the 9th stage of the Jewish wedding ritual—the snatch/rapture.” .

What follows Step 9

The essential order is:

Step 9: Bridegroom comes and takes the bride — rapture
Step 10: Bride is secluded with the bridegroom — corresponding broadly to the Church being with Christ while events unfold on Earth
Step 11: Bride is presented/revealed
Step 12: Public wedding supper or celebration — associated with the wedding feast and the kingdom

The rapture is the bridegroom’s private removal of the bride before the public manifestation and celebration. It is not the Second Coming in glory of Revelation 19; it is the earlier, comparatively secret taking of the Bride.

did you read what I had written and if so what does any of this have to do with that?

did you read what I had written and if so what does any of this have to do with that?
No I did not read it. However, since all Scripture must harmonize flawlessly, then, if what you wrote does NOT concatenate perfectly, it is some kind of error.

The PATTERN of the Jewish wedding protocol, so carefully and decisively laid out, is the master template. And we are the Bride.

Then (and only then) does the relentless march of prophecy recommence.....for the inevitable redemption of the wife of YHVH Israel.

Really? No, that is impossible. You see, Daniel 9 is the critical key prophecy that defines this present age and delineates it from the age to come—and it does so with staggering precision.

How have you missed the seamless, grand harmony of these Old Testament prophecies and this present interregnum?

Truth be told, many Christians today have similarly lost their way. But fear not: God's wise men and scholars are still here, even today, though they are few in number and rarely honored.

Actually I have added quite a bit of precision by looking more carefully at verse 24. Why would you say I have missed something if you didn't even read what I wrote? So many Christians have lost their way in a similar manner, by talking about something they didn't even read? Yes, I can see that. Thank you.

More precision and more in depth than Sir Robert Anderson analysis? Wow amazing.

This is simply a rough draft, but it does explain in much greater detail a timeline from Daniel 9 all the way to the end of the age.

There's no gap, it's not about the crucifixion. It's about the Beast killing Christians for worshipping Jesus. Read Daniel 11 and Revelation 13. There''s far more than 69 weeks between Ezra and Nehemiah building the temple and Jesus being conceived in the womb of the virgin Mary. There's obviously much more than one week between the crucifixion and the end of the world and the eternal reign of righteousness.

Detailed Timeline

Set 1 — Finish the Transgression (515 BC – 445 BC)

The Second Temple was completed on the third day of Adar, in the sixth year of Darius I — dated to approximately March 12, 515 BC (Ezra 6:15). This fulfilled Jeremiah's seventy-year prophecy of exile (Jer. 25:11, 29:10), measured from the first Temple's destruction in 586 BC. The reason the Jews were exiled was because of their transgression for seventy weeks in not keeping the sabbath year. So since they didn't keep 70 sabbath years God exiled them for seventy years to give the land rest. This is what is referred to as "to finish the transgression".
Artaxerxes I's decree authorizing Nehemiah to rebuild Jerusalem's wall followed in the month of Nisan, the king's twentieth year — 445 BC (Neh. 2:1–8). The interval between these two independently dated, textually attested events is exactly seventy years.

Set 2 — Make an End of Sin (445 BC – 46 AD)

This set opens with Artaxerxes' decree (445 BC), dated by Sir Robert Anderson to 1 Nisan, March 14, 445 BC (Julian). Anderson's 1894 calculation — refined by Harold Hoehner in 1977 — measures 69 weeks (483 years) as 173,880 days of 360-day "prophetic" years from that date, landing on April 6, 32 AD: Palm Sunday, four days before the traditional crucifixion date. This calculation is well-established in dispensational scholarship, though contested by critics who reject the 360-day-year premise and Anderson's specific start-date assumptions.

However, rather than placing the Messiah's "cutting off" (Dan. 9:26) at the conclusion of the 69th week, I place it at the first year of that week. In Galatians 2:1 Paul goes up to Jerusalem "fourteen years" after a prior visit is read here as marking the point at which the ministry of reconciliation became the church's official ministry (the Jerusalem council) — landing at 46 AD, which independently coincides with the terminus of a full 490-solar-year count from 445 BC. Jesus making an end of sin on the cross does not conclude that same year. Acts is very clear that there was still some question about whether or not they still needed to keep the Jewish rules concerning animal sacrifices, kosher eating and circumcision. That was resolved at this conference 14 years later.

Set 3 — Make Reconciliation for Iniquity (46 AD – 536 AD)

This set of 70 weeks of years opens at the Jerusalem council's formalization of the Gentile mission. The mission as laid out by Paul is that we have received the ministry of reconciliation. The Apostolic Fathers (Clement of Rome, Ignatius, Polycarp) write as direct successors to the apostles through the late first century. Persecution under successive emperors (Nero, Domitian, Decius, Diocletian) accompanies steady expansion until Constantine's conversion and the Edict of Milan (313) end state persecution. The Council of Nicaea (325) produces the first ecumenical creed; three further councils — Constantinople (381), Ephesus (431), Chalcedon (451) — settle Trinitarian and Christological doctrine through the work of Athanasius, the Cappadocian Fathers, Augustine, Jerome, and John Chrysostom.

The set closes on a genuinely notable historical marker. The Byzantine historian Procopius, writing as a contemporary, recorded that in 536 AD "the sun gave forth its light without brightness... like the sun in eclipse" for the entire year — an atmospheric dust-veil event, now understood as volcanic in origin, that historians regard as the most severe episode of Northern Hemisphere cooling in the last two thousand years. During this time the ministry of reconciliation was codified.

Set 4 — Bring in Everlasting Righteousness (536 AD – 1026 AD)

The rise of Islam and the rapid Arab conquests of the 630s–700s strip the church of its ancient heartlands — Jerusalem (637), Alexandria (641), Carthage (698) — permanently ending Christian political dominance across the regions. Islam and Judaism are both trying to establish a righteousness of their own during this time.

We have the Islamic conquest, and we have Spanish inquisition and other atrocities. People are doing what is right in their own eyes and trying to justify it with their religion whether it is Islam, Judaism or a dominionism version of Christianity. But behind the scenes there are Christians who come to see that Jesus is our righteousness and our works in trying to bring in the kingdom are bloody rags.

Set 5 — Seal Up the Vision (1026 AD – 1516 AD)

This set's boundary is anchored by two independently, precisely dated events that both fall in 1516. Erasmus's Novum Instrumentum omne — the first published Greek New Testament on March 1, 1516, becoming the textual basis for Luther's, Tyndale's, and the King James translations. In the same year, Ottoman forces under Selim I captured Jerusalem from the Mamluks in the final weeks of 1516 (the war concluding with the Battle of Ridaniya in January 1517), beginning four centuries of Ottoman rule over the city.

Set 6 — Seal Up the Prophecy (1516 AD – 2006 AD)

Opens with Erasmus's Greek New Testament (March 1516) and Luther's Ninety-Five Theses (October 1517) arriving within eighteen months of each other, together fueling the Reformation. The British and Foreign Bible Society (1804), the Gideons International (1899, dedicated specifically to Scripture distribution), and Wycliffe Bible Translators/SIL International (1942 onward, translating Scripture into previously unwritten languages) drive Scripture into the majority of the world's major languages by the close of the twentieth century.

For the Jews, this period runs from the absorption of Sephardic exiles into Ottoman territory after 1492, to the Balfour Declaration and Allenby's capture of Jerusalem from Ottoman rule (1917 — exactly four hundred years after the Ottoman conquest that opens this set), the Holocaust (1933–1945), the establishment of the State of Israel (1948), the Six-Day War and reunification of Jerusalem (1967), and the Yom Kippur War (1973). All prophetic fulfillments.

The set closes in 2006: Hamas wins the Palestinian legislative elections in January; the Second Lebanon War runs July–August; Saddam Hussein is sentenced to death in November and executed by hanging in Baghdad on December 30, 2006 — within the final two days of the calendar year. The pieces being put in place for the upcoming wars.

This period begins with Ottoman forces under Selim I capturing Jerusalem and ends with Saddam Hussein being executed.

1. Finish the transgression refers to Israel finishing the transgression they made in not keeping the sabbath years.
2. Make an end of sin is the once for all sacrifice Jesus made to redeem us. This is the gospel that we are saved by grace.
3. Make reconciliation for iniquity is the fact that we have been given the ministry of reconciliation.
4. Bring in everlasting righteousness, the church is God's Poiema, masterpiece, created for good works, not for military conquest.
5. Seal up the vision refers to having a complete translation of the Greek New Testament.
6. Seal up the prophecy refers to printing and publishing the Bible, with over 8 billion Bibles having been published as well as internet versions.

More precision and more in depth than Sir Robert Anderson analysis? Wow amazing.
There is a fundamental problem with Sir Robert Anderson's analysis regardless of how elegantly it appears to fit. The term "seventy weeks" refers to a Shemitah, which is a week of years, and a Shemitah always begins on Rosh Hashanah and is not 7 years that are 360 days each, but 7 years that are 365.25 days each.

This is absolutely crucial when looking at the 70th week, the Day of the Lord. All the numbers whether we are talking about the 2,520 days that Antichrist reigns or the 1,260 days that the two witnesses minister, all of the day counts work beautifully, but only if the 70th week goes from one Feast of Trumpets to the Feast of trumpets seven years later. Antichrist is defeated on the 9th of Av, and the Jews see their victory and the curse reversed on the 15th of Av. The two witnesses begin their ministry on the first day of Hanukkah and are killed on 2nd Passover. Meanwhile the Shemitah begins on the Feast of Trumpets and takes you to the day of Atonement seven years later. If you make the seventieth week 7 years that are 360 days long everything falls apart. Nothing fits. So the first 69 weeks cannot be 360 day years if the seventieth week is seven years that are 365.25 days long each.

I am still working on the next 70 week cycle, the anointing of the most holy. When Solomon's temple was dedicated it was a 14 day ceremony where the last seven days are the Feast of Tabernacles. That fits perfectly with the period from 2019 to 2033 with the last seven years being the wedding feast and explains many other questions about the 144,000, the raptured saints and the left behind saints. Solomon took 13 years to build his own palace and it took 7 years to build the temple. The seven years is a very clear reference to the church age. So then would 2006 to 2019 refer to someone building their palace? As I said it is a rough draft at present.

Ok, so let me see if I understand correctly, God is same yesterday, today and forever. He gives us a very precise description of Jesus crucifixion, including the fact that He is the lamb of God which takes away the sin of the world, how Jesus would be crucified, the things he would say on the cross, what time, he is slain, etc. But then when it comes to everything else it is all kind of general. Why is it exactly so many years to the crucifixion? Well that is because of this 70 weeks doctrine which is the same thing as forgiving someone 70x7 times. But then after the crucifixion, if we ask why is there this period of time known as the church age, well it is "who knows", how long is the church age? "who knows". The period of time for the Jews to be punished and removed from the land was very specific in the Old testament, but now if you ask it is "who knows". So the God who was incredibly precise, the one who told you the end from the beginning because only God can do that, now he is more "live and let live"? What happened? When did God change so dramatically?

"360 days each, but 7 years that are 365.25 days each"

Well, I see that you have stumbled right out of the gate ROFL.

Your claim that the final 7 years (the 70th Week of Daniel) suddenly shifts to standard solar years of 365.25 days breaks the mathematical harmony built into biblical prophecy.

Scripture defines its own prophetic calendar. By comparing parallel passages across Daniel and Revelation, we can mathematically prove that a prophetic year is strictly **360 days**, divided into **12 months of 30 days each**.

## The Mathematical Proof: Daniel & Revelation
The most airtight proof comes from comparing how Daniel and the Apostle John describe the exact same future time period: the second half of Daniel's 70th week (the 7 years).
Scripture uses three different phrasing metrics to describe this 3.5-year period (half of the 7-year week). When you align them, the math only works if a year is exactly 360 days.

### 1. In Days: 1,260 Days
* **Revelation 11:3:** *"And I will give power to my two witnesses, and they will prophesy **1,260 days**, clothed in sackcloth."*
* **Revelation 12:6:** *"Then the woman fled into the wilderness, where she has a place prepared by God, that they should feed her there **1,260 days**."*
### 2. In Months: 42 Months
* **Revelation 11:2:** *"...And they will tread the holy city underfoot for **42 months**."*
* **Revelation 13:5:** *"...And he was given authority to continue for **42 months**."*
### 3. In Years: 3.5 Years ("Time, Times, and Half a Time")
In Hebrew and apocalyptic literature, a "time" equals one year, "times" equals two years, and "half a time" equals half a year. Totaling **3.5 years**.
* **Daniel 7:25 & 12:7:** The saints are given into the enemy's hand for a *"time and times and half a time."*
* **Revelation 12:14:** The woman is nourished in the wilderness for a *"time and times and half a time."*

### Bringing the Math Together
If we take these inspired definitions of the *exact same window of time*, the calculation is simple arithmetic:
If the final 7 years were meant to switch to 365.25-day solar years, 3.5 years would equal roughly 1,278 days. The text explicitly says 1,260.

## Other Scriptural Citations for the 360-Day Year
The 360-day calendar is not an invention unique to the end times; it is the foundational calendar used throughout Scripture before solar/lunar adjustments.

### 1. The Genesis Flood Account (The Earliest Anchor)
In Genesis, Moses gives us precise dates that show a 30-day month and a 360-day year were standard from the beginning:
* **The Flood Starts:** The 17th day of the 2nd month (Genesis 7:11).
* **The Ark Rests:** The 17th day of the 7th month (Genesis 8:4).
* **The Duration:** Exactly **5 months** later.
* **The Exact Day Count:** Genesis 7:24 and 8:3 explicitly state that the water prevailed for **150 days**.
Divide 150 days by 5 months, and you get exactly **30 days per month**. Multiply that by 12 months, and you have a **360-day year**.

### 2. King Artaxerxes' Decree to Christ's Triumphal Entry
Historically, Sir Robert Anderson (*The Coming Prince*) demonstrated that the first 69 weeks of Daniel's prophecy (483 prophetic years) were fulfilled to the exact day using the 360-day calendar.
From the decree of Artaxerxes to rebuild Jerusalem (March 14, 445 BC) to Jesus’ Triumphal Entry into Jerusalem (April 6, 32 AD) is exactly 173,880 days.
If you calculate that span using standard solar years (including leap years), it hits the exact same number.

God calculated the history *and* the prophecy on a 360-day cycle.
> **Summary:** Your attempt to insert 365.25-day solar years into the final 7 years fails biblically. Scripture is entirely self-consistent. From Genesis to Revelation, God's prophetic clock operates on 30-day months and 360-day years.
