I still don't know and suspect I never will.
Who can deny those who have been banned for such here. But, as mentioned above, some deserve an appropriate correction for the good of the whole more than others, rather than refusing them as just some harmless persuasion.

Good call 'RA'! It truly should have been re-worded.

Thanks 'GWH', if you will, just a bit further. For many wish to champion, receiving the joy of the Spirit at salvation, but who at the same time deny the full potential of the Gospel promise to also live with the power of the Spirit. One of today's longstanding religious examples of irony from the perpetrators of this false Gospel, while they themselves claiming to be the watchmen who guard us from 'false Gospel'. Now if you present to them 2Timothy 3:5 warning:

"Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away."

Why should myself or any other maintaining anything less from the promise be the ones faulted? This very error triggers life from soundness for accuracy to say that every Christian who disagrees with the collective understanding of the NT power of the Spirit are themselves necessarily preaching "a false gospel" without gray or secondary meanings.

My question, how are they ever to recover if resistant to loving exhortation?

First, let us clarify that the power Paul has in mind is love like Christ (Eph. 3:16-19, Rom. 5:5, cf. Gal. 5:22-23).
Thus, we should turn away from haters (Tit. 3:9-10).

Perhaps they will never recover from resisting the call of Christ (John 12:32, Matt. 23:37, 13:14-15, Acts 28:26-27).

Banned for what?

That is one wide moderated subject with regard to false Gospel. Members are on occasion banned for theological deviations that cross into blatant heresy. This thread could just be thought a hijacking of that awareness in the form of rogue persuasions that also seek to quench His presence of the Holy Spirit's "edification". Honoring that edification here, in this thread any way He sees fit beginning with edifying me of any lack. Therefore, beyond traditional cult heresies, I think it wise to reign-in ease of reason that is cause for so much of our sectarian acceptance seeing it is the will of God.

Yes, except the heresy of tulipism, which is grandfathered on CC thanks to it being espoused by some Reformers and thus firmly entrenched in various Protestant denominations. The Baptist in which I was raised affirms the P/OSAS.

Grandfathered? Interesting! So when I say some of us ", , deny the full potential of the Gospel promise to also live with the power of the Spirit", or, attempt to inflate the love of God enough to obscure His assigning us power, , what do you suppose the collective heart of Reformers here is anticipating for just such a comment?

I guess tulipists would say that it is impossible for souls either to deny or affirm, because they lack MFW.
They deflate the love of God by denying that He assigns us any power.

Ewwee, here-here! In the end result most certainly agree! But impossible to deny? Confined to them and there logic only!

“Come out of her, my people.”
Lord, have mercy on me, an indoctrinated Christian caught in the throws of an insidious unrepentant exclusivity of modern-day Pentecostalism.

I didn't know it at the time while anticipating growth for those 10 or 12 years, I was digging a hole and found it difficult to recover knowing, the attacks from the pulpit of the lesser spiritually inclined caused a different Pentecostal awakening in me. One that drew out of that sectarian lump. If "love covers a multitude of sins" it wasn't what I witnessed, more rather, an accusative spirit that sought to congratulate themselves as the featured remark for the 'unity of the [sectarian] Spirit.

Receive one who is weak in the faith, but not to disputes over doubtful things. (Rom 14:1)

Having since, backed off of the "full-Gospel", still wish to retain a NT Pentecostalism

Really? Like, how long must we be seen bringing this up? As long as I see evidence it still being fomented. This time, in the area of "false Gospel".

Question: Jesus said "God is Spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth.” But then here comes Paul who is given the deepest revelations straight from Jesus who said, "for I determined not to know anything among you except Jesus Christ and him crucified." Do some Christian circles use the message of the crucified Savior to distance itself from the Spirit of the Savior?

Gemini - "Yes, certain theological frameworks and church traditions do emphasize the message of the crucified Savior in a way that structurally distances their practice from the dynamic, ongoing ministry of the Holy Spirit. This tension represents one of the most enduring conversations in historical and contemporary theology. Rather than looking at this as a contradiction between Jesus and Paul, the divergence occurs in how different Christian circles interpret the relationship between the historical work of the cross and the active presence of the Spirit."

Entirety

There are circles of people out there who question the authenticity of Paul as being a true apostle. What they're denying is the fall of Israel. We fell as a nation of priests unto God. Because of our fall, that middle wall of partition came down so that salvation could come unto the Gentiles apart from Israel; Gentiles who were then without Christ, without God, outside the commonwealth of Israel and without hope. Given that what Paul preached he had received of no man but Christ, even though he knew the Kingdom Gospel preached by the twelve they had gotten directly from Christ, and was the basis of Paul's persecution of the believing Jews he learned from men, his preaching was unique in that it came directly from Christ while in Arabia, all contrary to the beliefs of some today who follow their false teaching pastors.

Yeah, it’s an interesting journey: receiving criticism from Sunday-box people just because we do not attend one. Most are content to label you as anathema. Others, who get to know you, become friends or check in from time to time for guidance or encouragement.
Practically, I’ve rejected the clergy/laity dichotomy taught by Rome in favor of the father/son relationship shown by Christ and the apostles, wherein all are priests within the economy of God: His House. The former keeps access to God at arm’s length and only through certain liturgical practices (like sitting in pews). The latter sets His table in front of the children and the mature, expecting all who are mature to bring something to the table.

Right, whenever you determine to bring up a moral concern, it follows the soft-answer, but throw in some Biblical content and you might get an instant shun as I did yesterday in another 'Sunday-box' setting where I for the time continue, endure, absorb hymnal treasures knowing the Lord knows 'where Satan's seat is'.

Paul and all who have lost it all for Christ's excellency, confident, they still receive from Christ. His own remark on soundness to Philemon surely expressed what he received from Him to excel more so by His grace; "Confident of your obedience, , you will do even more than I say." But this 'Jesus not Paul', a heresy that the Spirit had no hand of inspiration in the word of God. Paul himself aware of our ancient progress; "...until we all attain to the unity of the faith," knew of his own foes, "false brethren" I believe he termed it remained un-fazed.

Wow. Now THAT is quite a statement. I've been enduring that same criticism from pro-churchianity gangs on their bandwagon of pride and insults in the form of intellect and conformance-based reasoning in favor of traditions of men.

That is so well stated. I very much appreciate what you're saying to the other in here. I just had to chime in and say so. It's nice to see others who appreciate the biblical definition of fellowship and gathering not fettered by man-made traditions passed off as biblical.

If I'm tracking where you went with the above (if not, please clarify), Paul's ministry was indeed unique by its own right given that what he preached he had received from no other man other than Christ Jesus. He knew the gospel the twelve preached, and if that's what he preached, then he was a liar when he stated this:

Galatians 1:8-9
8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.
9 As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.

Galatians 1:11-12
11 But I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached of me is not after man.
12 For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ.

The above is so clear in that the gospel Paul preached was indeed not that preached by the twelve. So, if your meaning about "ancient progress" is in relation to what Paul preached, that simply can't be. If that wasn't your meaning, then please clarify. This is interesting.

As discussed earlier in this thread, denominational organizations could themselves rectifying a huge burden that prevents our unity with the true Church as describe in the NT, the examples are numerous: "For it seemed good to the Holy Spirit, and to us..." (Acts 15:28), was yes, oversight's lead which can be held or confirm by "other" members present to judge. But it seems we fear encouraging to investigate older norms,
  • Catholics would say the Holy Spirit continues to guide the Church through the bishops in communion with the Pope, especially when teaching authoritatively on faith and morals.
  • Orthodox Christians would emphasize the guidance of the whole Church expressed through councils received by the faithful.
  • Many Protestants would stress the Spirit's illumination of Scripture among believers while rejecting any ongoing infallible teaching office.
  • Pentecostal and Charismatic Christians often emphasize both Scripture and the present activity of the Holy Spirit in directing the Church.
But things happen when the effort of "one accord" comes before God. Ch. 15 illustrates this by those whom God raises up by prayer and open dialog.

Well, no church is perfect and finding the right one may be as difficult as finding a soul-mate,
but we should remember the good reasons for participating with fellow believers, especially
that of finding friends and Christian peers for teenagers (Heb. 10:25).

CC does not substitute for everything, although it is my main fellowship at this time,
because we have not found a satisfactory church. We mainly desire good Bible teaching,
but style of music and proximity are also considerations.

That, I think raises a question for many scattered Christians, how much error are we permitted to co-exist with to participate in His praises?

", , any other Gospel, , let him be accursed.
You know, one could say that deals a significant hurdle to my earlier, "not to disputes over doubtful things." (Rom 14:1) with the weak.

Yes, a bit segmented construction there, just including that which shows that second-to-none Apostle sailed through all that un-deterred. Today, we should be outraged that a vigil isn't held for the Church founding handed to us wasn't thankful enough to pass onto us stark provisions of safeguarding unity.
