The Parable of the Ten Virgins does not refer to the church

What is interesting about the parable of the Ten Virgins is that you can interpret the midnight cry as either the Revelation 12 sign or as Israel restarting the oblations and sacrifices on the Temple mount. The midnight torch lit parade can be seen as having taken place since 2017 leading to the rapture. But you could also see this happening during the tribulation. The Lord is not going to leave the believers orphans, He is going to go through the tribulation with them and you could see the 144,000 as those who are holding the torches during the dark night of the tribulation.

The Revelation 12 sign woke up many Christians, but at the same time there are many who are simply waiting to see "the temple rebuilt". What they don't understand is that a building does not need to be built for the oblations and sacrifices to be restarted, all that needs to happen is for the Tabernacle to be raised on the temple mount. We know they have this tent because they needed it to burn the red heifer to ashes on July 1, 2025. So then imagine the chaos if we learn at the end of August or beginning of September that Israel will restart the oblations and sacrifices on the temple mount this feast of trumpets? That would be a crazy wake up call. That is when millions of Christians will discover they aren't ready for the Lord's return.

There is zero harmony because it is not harmonizing with the erroneous interpretation that it is about the bride. It is about the wedding procession and those who are escorting the Bride. How do you not understand that a CEO, a father, a son and an heir can all represent the same person?

We are the bride of Christ and we are also servants of the Lord. The focus of the parable is on the servants of the Lord. The bride is not holding the torches in the lamp lit parade. Those are servants of the Lord. The bride is not the one announcing that the bridegroom is coming, that is the friends of the bridegroom.
No, the angels announced it.
In the parable, there is no such bridesmaids, and no such "friends of the bride", announcing anything, nor is their any "torches"
The virgins, ( properly rendering), went into the bride chamber and the door was shut.
The bride of Christ is not one person, but many.

The word translated "Lamps" is not the same word that is used elsewhere for lamps, the more likely translation is torch, and this parable is depicting a torch lit wedding procession. In this procession you have the Bridegroom and the Bride, and you have the attendants holding the torches. Which is why there has been so much difficulty with expositors talking about this parable.

The parable is about a midnight cry that wakes everyone up, and it is about ten virgins with torches whose job is to light the way, and half are not properly prepared. We never see the groom, we only hear that he is coming, and we never see the bride and we never see the wedding in this parable. The closest we come is to the door. We see half of the wedding party go in, and half get locked out.

Also to say the "angels announced it" is interpretation, what is your Biblical basis to say that it was the angels who announced it?

Your post is a great example of how poorly prepared many Christians are. Their understanding is not based on what the Bible says but on what some preachers message said.

1) the rapture is tge gathering of the bride.
The parable is just that...the gathering of the bride.
2) Jesus had just finished His rapture teaching, 8 or so sentences earlier, in mat 24, (before the flood, one taken one left)
3) in both analogies, the same percentage, 50%, are taken, and 50% are left behind, again, Jesus giving both stories, in seconds of them both.
5) The first miracle of Jesus was at a Jewish wedding.
Many people miss the fact that it was declared at the wedding, "you have saved the best for last."
That hidden passage is referring to the Jewish gathering of rev 14:14. ( the "other wife" depicted in Naomi and Gomer.)

The virgin parable is , without a doubt, the rapture of the church, the ending of the church on earth, and the gathering of the bride to the fathers house (heaven)

The woman is Mary. The 12 stars are the 12 disciples. And the child is Jesus.
Consider points from the biblical record:
The woman represents Israel.
The man child is Jesus Christ.
The crown of twelve stars represents the twelve tribes of Israel (see Joseph's dream in Genesis 37.
The symbolism portrays God's redemptive plan.

The key for this interpretation is Genesis 37. Joseph's dream symbolizes the family that became the nation of Israel.

Note when Israel is protected for 3 1/2 years from the serpent (satan) he turns his attention to the church (verse 17).

Rev 12:14-17
"And to the woman were given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness, into her place, where she is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent.

And the serpent cast out of his mouth water as a flood after the woman, that he might cause her to be carried away of the flood.
And the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened her mouth, and swallowed up the flood which the dragon cast out of his mouth.

17 And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ."

fine, if you see the bride in this parable just give me the verse reference so I can see her too.

I'm not saying this doesn't talk about the rapture, that would be half of the people going in the door and half being locked out. All I am saying is that neither the Bride nor the groom is seen in this parable, rather 10 virgins holding torches are the ones who are seen. There is no biblical basis to claim this refers to 10 brides, but there is a lot of contextual basis to say this is referring to the torch lit wedding procession and the torches are held by the Bride's ten bridesmaids.

I am not arguing against the weddin procession being the gathering of the bride at the end of the age, all I am saying is that the focus of this parable is not on the Bride, or the groom, but on the ten bridesmaids who hold torches to light the way to the door to the wedding / the rapture.

Malachi 3:1 Behold, I will send my messenger, and he shall prepare the way before me: and the Lord, whom ye seek, shall suddenly come to his temple, even the messenger of the covenant, whom ye delight in: behold, he shall come, saith the Lord of hosts.

This is what the midnight cry is, it announces the Lord whom ye seek is about to suddenly come to His temple. The word they cry "the bridegroom cometh" is referring to the covenant we have with Jesus, it is a marriage covenant.

2 But who may abide the day of his coming? and who shall stand when he appeareth? for he is like a refiner's fire, and like fullers' soap:

We see this as well, half of those in the parable of the ten virgins are not able to stand, they were not ready. They were foolish and took for granted that they had a ticket into the wedding.

3 And he shall sit as a refiner and purifier of silver: and he shall purify the sons of Levi, and purge them as gold and silver, that they may offer unto the Lord an offering in righteousness.

Everyone needs to have an offering. Think about the oil, the foolish virgins needed to have that oil, without it they could not light the wedding procession. And you don't offer something that someone else paid for, you have to buy the oil for yourself.

4 Then shall the offering of Judah and Jerusalem be pleasant unto the Lord, as in the days of old, and as in former years.

This "offering" is the rapture. Think of the ones who go into the wedding as the offering unto God from the sons of men.

5 And I will come near to you to judgment; and I will be a swift witness against the sorcerers, and against the adulterers, and against false swearers, and against those that oppress the hireling in his wages, the widow, and the fatherless, and that turn aside the stranger from his right, and fear not me, saith the Lord of hosts.

And at the same time as the rapture the apostate church will be judged. Think of a bride being revealed as an adulterer right before the wedding. This is what is being described here. When the Lord said "I never knew you" that

Given all the Feast of Trumpets imagery in this short parable — the midnight cry announcing the bridegroom's arrival (Matt. 25:6) which is identical to the literal Hebrew for this feast which is "day of the awakening shout". The practice of looking for the new moon mirrors the unpredictable, watch-for-it onset of Rosh Hashanah; and the parable's own closing words, "ye know neither the day nor the hour" (Matt. 25:13), which reminds us of the well-known Jewish idiom for Trumpets as "no one knows the day or hour".

Because of this we cannot but notice the similarity between the "ten days of awe" from Feast of Trumpets to the Day of Atonement (day of judgement). We also can't help but notice that during the Feast of Trumpets the sun is supposed to be in Virgo, the Virgin, and the only female constellation in the ecliptic. That would indicate that "her torch is lit" though in reality if you check these years in some cases the sun was in Virgo, in some cases it wasn't, similar to the parable where some torches were lit and some weren't. That in turn forces us to realize that from the great sign in the heavens, the Revelation 12 sign of Virgo in 2017 we have had "ten Virgos where the torches were supposed to be lit" from 2017 to 2026. Because of all of this it is reasonable to read the locked door and the Lord's words to the five foolish virgins against this same backdrop. "I know you not" (Matt. 25:12) that follow Trumpets, the traditional window in which, according to Jewish tradition, the books are opened and each person's name is confirmed as written — or not — in the Book of Life. Read this way, the Lord's words function like a doorman checking a list at the entrance to the wedding feast: the five foolish virgins are turned away because the list was already fixed, and their names were not found on it.

Feast of Trumpets Imagery in the Parable of the Ten Virgins (Matthew 25)

A tiered survey of correspondences between Matthew 25:1-13 and Rosh Hashanah / Days of Awe imagery.

  • Direct (linguistic). "At midnight there was a cry made" (v.6) — matches Yom Teruah, "day of the shout/blast." Strong: kraugē (cry) overlaps functionally with teruah, the tightest lexical hook here.
  • Direct (idiom). "Ye know neither the day nor the hour" (v.13) — the rabbinic idiom for Rosh Hashanah, the only feast whose date depends on new-moon sighting, not calculation. Strong: a well-attested idiom, close enough to be more than coincidence.
  • Direct (structural). The bridegroom's delay, timing unknown to all (v.5) — mirrors the Sanhedrin awaiting witness testimony before proclaiming the feast. Strong contextually: the structure matches historical practice closely.
  • Inferential. Ten virgins (v.1) — the ten Days of Awe between Trumpets and Atonement; also read elsewhere as a ten-year window, 2017-2026. Moderate: Matthew gives no gloss on the number; the 2017-2026 reading stacks a second "ten" argument onto the same detail.
  • Inferential. Door shut; "I know you not" (v.10-12) — the Book of Life sealed at the Days of Awe, names confirmed or not. Moderate-strong: a natural extension, though Matthew doesn't use "book" language (contrast Rev. 20:12, Phil. 4:3).
  • Speculative. "Some were wise, some were foolish" (v.2-4) — read against the sun's position in Virgo across 2017-2026, i.e., "torch lit / not lit" years. Weak: not textual, but treated as relevant since the Revelation 12 sign (sun in Virgo) occurred during Trumpets.
  • Inferential (newer manuscript). Wise virgins have oil; foolish must buy it before the door shuts (v.3-4, 8-10) — read as an oil-firstfruits season opening in Elul, closing at Hanukkah, with the two witnesses supplying oil afterward. Weak-moderate: coherent within the document's system, but its own construct, not specified in the text.

Feast of Trumpets / 9-11-2026 References in "The Feast of Trumpets Convergence"

Correspondences between the Feast of Trumpets and September 11, 2026, drawn from elsewhere in the manuscript.

  • Direct (astronomical sign). Revelation 12:1's "woman clothed with the sun... crown of twelve stars" (Sept 23, 2017) — occurred on Trumpets: sun in Virgo, moon at her feet, a twelve-point crown from Leo's nine stars plus Mercury, Venus, and Mars. Strong as an event — the document calls the full configuration rare, roughly once in six thousand years. The dating is solid; the theological weight (a countdown to 2026, Jupiter as the "manchild" caught up at age 8, paralleling King Josiah's crowning at eight) is the document's own inference.
  • Inferential (count). 2017 to Trumpets 2026 — read as ten years (Matthew 25), nine years (Hebrew calendar), or eight years (Gregorian, since Jupiter is still 8 on 9/11/2026). Weak-moderate: three different counts from one interval, acknowledged as different measurements rather than one figure.
  • Direct (prophetic idiom). Joel 2:1, 15's "blow the trumpet... solemn assembly" — applied to Israel's second Covid lockdown, the first repeat pandemic shutdown in its history, as a seven-year Shemitah marker to 2026. Moderate: a real calendar coincidence, but applying Joel's language to this specific event is the document's own choice.
  • Inferential (count). Daniel 9:25's "commandment to restore and build Jerusalem" — Suleiman's wall (1541) + 483 years (69 weeks), with 1542 as a sabbath year and 1543 starting the count, lands on Trumpets 2026. Weak-moderate: treats a 16th-century Ottoman wall, not the more conventional Persian-era decree, as the starting point.
  • Direct (idiom). Matthew 24:36's "day and hour knoweth no man" — the same Rosh Hashanah idiom as 25:13, framing Trumpets as the Olivet Discourse's reference point. Strong as an idiom match; its use to anchor the 2,520-day/2026 framework is an added inference.
  • Structural. The 2,520-day count (Dan. 7:25; 12:7, 11-12; Rev. 11:2-3; 12:6, 14; 13:5) — counted backward from an Aug 10, 2033 victory date to start Sept 16, 2026, five days after Trumpets, with the two witnesses beginning at Hanukkah. Weak-moderate: the day-count is textual, but the 2033 anchor and start-date choice are the document's own construction.
  • Direct (proof-text). 1 Thessalonians 5:3's "peace and safety... sudden destruction" — paired with the Samson/Dagon collapse, pointing to market disruption on or near Trumpets 2026. Moderate as a general proof-text; its date and magnitude are the document's own added, explicitly revisable layer.
  • Direct (feast sequence). 1 Corinthians 15:20, 23's "Christ the firstfruits... afterward they that are Christ's at his coming" — firstfruits as the first feast fulfilled, "at his coming" pointing specifically to Trumpets, the feast that announces the Lord's coming. Moderate: firstfruits-to-resurrection is well-established; pinning "at his coming" to Trumpets specifically is the document's extension.
  • Inferential. Two calves marked "7" on Trumpets 2014 — read via Pharaoh's dream as needing 5 years to mature, then 7 years of plenty (2019-2026) ending at Trumpets 2026. Weak: rests on a non-scriptural news anecdote plus an agricultural-maturity assumption.
  • Astronomical/typological. Jupiter's ecliptic circuit, exiting Virgo in 2017, entering Leo/Regulus on Sept 24, 2026 — read as confirming the sign's count, landing the day before Tabernacles. Moderate as astronomy; reading Jupiter as the crowned "Manchild" is the document's own typology.
  • Contextual. The Abraham Accords, Israel's second Covid lockdown, Iran's largest missile strike on Israel, and UN Palestinian-state recognition — all near Trumpets in successive years — a running list of events clustering near Trumpets, which the document says would be confirmed further if Israel resumes temple-mount sacrifices on 9/11/2026. Weak-moderate: real dates, but a selective list; a pattern-recognition argument, not a textual one.
  • Structural. 9/11/2026 falls on a Friday, as the crucifixion did — read as "Good Friday 2.0," with Sept 11 as the "crucifixion" point, Sept 15 as "resurrection," and Sept 16 as Antichrist's revealing. Weak: the weekday match is calendrically routine (about one year in seven); the crucifixion parallel is applied to that coincidence, not derived from a text naming 2026.
  • Direct (proof-text). Revelation 6:12-17's "great day of his wrath" — read as depicting the Trumpets 2026 moment from the perspective of those left behind. Moderate as general judgment language; its placement at Trumpets 2026 specifically is the document's own sequencing.
  • Direct (sequencing). 2 Thessalonians 2:6-8 — the restrainer removed before the man of sin is revealed — used to place the rapture at Trumpets (Sept 11) and the Antichrist's reign starting five days later, Sept 16, 2026. Moderate as a sequencing principle; the specific gap and dates are the document's own construction.
  • Distinct witness. Esther 5-7's two banquets and "tomorrow, as the king hath said" (5:8) — read as a "day-for-25-years" count from 9/11/2001 to 9/11/2026, landing the reversal on Trumpets 2026. Weak: Esther contains no Trumpets reference; the link rests entirely on the 9/11 anniversary plus a non-standard stretching of a one-day interval to twenty-five years, which the document itself calls unusual.

An Example of binding and loosing

Matthew 16:6 Then Jesus said unto them, Take heed and beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees...11 How is it that ye do not understand that I spake it not to you concerning bread, that ye should beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees? 12 Then understood they how that he bade them not beware of the leaven of bread, but of the doctrine of the Pharisees and of the Sadducees...17 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven. 18 And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. 19 And I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven...21 From that time forth began Jesus to shew unto his disciples, how that he must go unto Jerusalem, and suffer many things of the elders and chief priests and scribes, and be killed, and be raised again the third day.

Think about this. Why, right after saying whatever you bind will be bound and whatever you loose will be loosed does He then say He must go to Jerusalem and suffer many things and be killed and be raised the third day? Why not just bind the elders and chief priests and scribes?

22 Then Peter took him, and began to rebuke him, saying, Be it far from thee, Lord: this shall not be unto thee. 23 But he turned, and said unto Peter, Get thee behind me, Satan: thou art an offence unto me: for thou savourest not the things that be of God, but those that be of men. 24 Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me. 25 For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: and whosoever will lose his life for my sake shall find it. 26 For what is a man profited, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul? or what shall a man give in exchange for his soul?

Jesus is binding the doctrine that you don't need to go to the cross and He is loosing all those who would come after Him. In this chapter we are told to beware the leaven of the Pharisees and we are led to understand that doesn't refer to bread but to doctrine, and then Jesus binds the root of all their doctrines. First and foremost they will teach you that you don't need to take up your cross. But if you reject that then they will rebuke you if you want to come after Jesus. I have been rebuked by Christians many, many times. Not for sin, not for saying we don't need to take up the cross, but for having the audacity to think that I could follow after the Lord. If the elders and priests have taught something, who are you to dispute it? In order to follow after the Lord you will have to abandon the doctrines of the scribes and pharisees and that is what you get rebuked for.

For example, "how dare you say the ten virgins carrying lamps in wedding procession are bridesmaids!" That is one example of many.

Wow.

You just made the allegorical conclusions that :
1) "Virgins" are used allegorically for Christians.
2) "The bridegroom" is used allegorically for Jesus.

"It might seem odd to some who has pre-decided that all parables are allegorical, but it isn't odd for those who allow the story and the context to demonstrate whether it is allegorical or not"
PAR'ABLE, noun [Latin parabola; Gr. to throw forward or against, to compare to or against; as in confero, collatum, to set together, or one thing with another.] A fable or allegorical relation or representation of something real in life or nature, from which a moral is drawn for instruction; such as the parable of the trees choosing a king, Judges 9:1; the parable of the poor man and his lamb. 2 Samuel 12:1; the parable of the ten virgins, Matthew 25:1.

PAR'ABLE, verb transitive To represent by fiction or fable.

...you were sayin????

Yes, a parable is a brief fictional story using figurative/metaphorical language for the purpose of teaching a spiritual truth,
which in the case of the Virgins is that folks should be ready for the Second Coming of Jesus, which saints/wise virgins/members of the church are, but not those who hate God and ignore the Gospel.
.
The missing ingredient? Oil, signifying the HS/persevering in saving faith, which is urged in many Scriptures, including:

Matt. 10:22, “All men will hate you because of me, but he who stands firm to the end will be saved.”

Rom. 11:22, “Consider therefore the kindness and sternness of God: sternness to those who fell, but kindness to you, provided that you continue in his kindness. Otherwise, you also will be cut off.”

1Cor. 15:2, “By this gospel you are saved, if you hold firmly to the word I preached to you. Otherwise, you have believed in vain.”

Gal. 5:4, “You who are trying to be justified by law have been alienated from Christ; you have fallen away from grace.”

Col. 1:22-23, “But now he has reconciled you by Christ’s physical body through death to present you holy in his sight, without blemish and free from accusation—if you continue in your faith, established and firm, not moved from the hope held out in the gospel.”

2Thes. 1:4-5, “Therefore, among God’s churches we boast about your perseverance and faith in all the persecutions and trials you are enduring. All this is evidence that God’s judgment is right, and as a result you will be counted worthy of the kingdom of God, for which you are suffering.”

2Tim. 2:12, “If we endure, we will also reign with him. If we disown him, he will also disown us;”

Heb. 3:6&14, “But Christ is faithful as a son over God’s house. And we are his house, if we hold on to our courage and the hope of which we boast… We have come to share in Christ if we hold firmly till the end the confidence we had at first.”

Heb. 6:4-6, “It is impossible for those who have once been enlightened, who have tasted the heavenly gift, who have shared in the Holy Spirit, who have tasted the goodness of the word of God and the powers of the coming age, if they fall away, to be brought back to repentance, because to their loss they are crucifying the Son of God all over again and subjecting him to public disgrace.” This passage indicates that apostasy may be viewed as total depravity or blasphemy against the HS (MT 12:31).

Heb. 10:26-36, “If we deliberately keep on sinning after we have received the knowledge of the truth, no sacrifice for sins is left, but only a fearful expectation of judgment and of raging fire that will consume the enemies of God… So do not throw away your confidence; it will be richly rewarded. You need to persevere so that when you have done the will of God, you will receive what he has promised.”

Jam. 1:12, “Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial, because when he has stood the test, he will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him.”

2Pet. 1:10-11, “Therefore, my brothers, be all the more eager to make your calling and election sure. For if you do these things, you will never fall, and you will receive a rich welcome into the eternal kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.”

2Pet. 2:20, “If they have escaped the corruption of the world by knowing our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and are again entangled in it and overcome, they are worse off at the end than they were at the beginning.”

1John 2:24-25, “See that what you have heard from the beginning remains in you. If it does, you also will remain in the Son and in the Father. And this is what he promised us—even eternal life.”

Jude 21, “Keep yourselves in God’s love as you wait for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to bring you to eternal life.”

Rev. 2:10, “Do not be afraid of what you are about to suffer. I tell you, the devil will put some of you in prison to test you, and you will suffer persecution for ten days. Be faithful, even to the point of death, and I will give you the crown of life.”

OK, we are saved by grace, not of works, not of ourselves, it is the price Jesus paid. But this oil they are to go and buy they have to pay for this, not Jesus. And there are people who sell this oil.

So let's not confuse this oil with saving faith.

The oil is the fuel that fuels the fire that lights the way for the midnight procession to the wedding. The word of God is a lamp unto my feet. Not the dead letter, but it is the Spirit that gives life and in this case gives light.

The foolish virgins were disqualified for heaven. Why?
Answering that question leads to the answer: the only reason sinners are disqualified is because
they do not satisfy God's condition for entrance, which is faith in Jesus as Lord that opens the heart
to indwelling by His HS/GW by which they are baptized into His body/church. (All truth is one/connected.)

They were not rejected from heaven. The door was closed to the rapture, but there is still another way to pay the price and that is by martyrdom. The foolish virgins might be tribulation saints, or they might be apostates. All we know for sure is they missed the rapture.

That in turn changes the whole doctrine of the rapture. We think of it taking place in the "twinkling of an eye" but in reality we have this wedding procession that takes 9 full years on the Hebrew calendar. If you want to be raptured you need to have a torch lit with plenty of oil, to light the way in the dark for those nine years.

This is why the 144,000 are "virgins". They are those with lamps lit to light the way for the tribulation saints who are still trying to make it to the wedding and are in the dark night of the tribulation.

According to the Bible there are 288 Priests listed in Chronicles, half of them is 144. So think of these priests with the lamps as being the wise and foolish virgins.

1 Chronicles 25:1 David and the chiefs of the service also set apart for the service the sons of Asaph, and of Heman, and of Jeduthun, who prophesied with lyres, with harps, and with cymbals. The list of those who did the work and of their duties was: 2 Of the sons of Asaph: Zaccur, Joseph, Nethaniah, and Asharelah, sons of Asaph, under the direction of Asaph, who prophesied under the direction of the king. 3 Of Jeduthun, the sons of Jeduthun: Gedaliah, Zeri, Jeshaiah, Shimei, Hashabiah, and Mattithiah, six, under the direction of their father Jeduthun, who prophesied with the lyre in thanksgiving and praise to the Lord. 4 Of Heman, the sons of Heman: Bukkiah, Mattaniah, Uzziel, Shebuel and Jerimoth, Hananiah, Hanani, Eliathah, Giddalti, and Romamti-ezer, Joshbekashah, Mallothi, Hothir, Mahazioth. 5 All these were the sons of Heman the king's seer, according to the promise of God to exalt him, for God had given Heman fourteen sons and three daughters. 6 They were all under the direction of their father in the music in the house of the Lord with cymbals, harps, and lyres for the service of the house of God. Asaph, Jeduthun, and Heman were under the order of the king. 7 The number of them along with their brothers, who were trained in singing to the Lord, all who were skillful, was 288.

10 virgins =10 believers

"We have 12 apostles, 12 tribes of Israel and 12 gates of the New Jerusalem with their names on it, why would 10 represent the believers?"

From jesusalive.com;
"Following are some of the “10’s” which I consider to be the most significant. (I was going to make a “Top 10” list of significant 10’s, but there were too many 🙂 .)

In Genesis, chapter 1, at the beginning of creation, the term “God said” is used 10 times.

From Adam to Noah was 10 generations (Gen Ch. 5).

A tithe (Heb. = maasrah meaning “a tenth”) of 10% was to be given (Gen 28:22)(Lev 27:30-32)(Num 19:26) to God.

God promised Abraham He would not destroy Sodom if 10 righteous men could be found there (Gen 18:32).

God brought 10 plagues on Egypt (Ex 7:14-12:30).

God caused the shadow on a sundial to go backwards 10 degrees (2 Kin 20:8-11).

In the Temple were 10 lavers, 10 lampstands, and 10 tables (2 Chr 4:6-8).

On the 10th day of the first month, a lamb was to be chosen for Passover (Ex 12:2-3).

The 10 Commandments (Ex 20:1-17)(Deut 5:6-21).

Jesus healed 10 lepers (Lk 17:11-19).

Jesus told several parables which focus on the number 10: 10 virgins (Mt 25:1-13), 10 coins (Lk 15:8-10), 10 minas (Lk 19:11-27).

There were 10 days between Jesus’ ascension to Heaven and Pentecost: (See: Q: #121).

God created us with 10 fingers and 10 toes."

To the rapture?!
Only if they were still alive at the parousia.
If so, they miss both rapture and heaven.

Who are the ten virgins?

Consider the following illustration of Pearl Harbor being foolish virgins and Midway being wise virgins.

Pearl Harbor: asleep, and nothing wakes them until it's too late

The battleships in port on December 7 had no equivalent of "oil" and no cry that reached them in time (light overcomes the darkness, if their lamps had been lit they would have overcome). Radar saw the incoming wave, but the warning died at Tyler's desk who refused to sound the alarm to the island. The crews below decks were asleep or at breakfast, with no reason to expect anything different from any other Sunday morning. When the first bombs actually landed, there was no interval between "warning" and "impact" — the alarm and the attack arrived as the same event. Had he sounded the alarm we would not have lost our air force, all of our ships would have had gunners manning the guns and some of the ships would have escaped the dock and maybe even all of the ships would have. Imagine utterly defeating the Japanese at Pearl Harbor, the Pacific war could have ended the same day it started.

Midway: also caught by surprise in the sense that battle always is, but ready because the cry had already come and been acted on weeks earlier

The codebreakers' decrypted warning arrived long before the battle, giving Nimitz time to position carriers in ambush, brief pilots, arm torpedo and dive bombers correctly, and have combat air patrols already aloft when Japanese scout planes appeared. When contact actually came, nothing had to be improvised — the fleet was already standing at battle stations, because the warning had already done its work well before the moment of contact. This is an example of wise virgins being ready for that "surprise midnight cry".

The problem with virtually every single exposition on the ten virgins is they completely ignore the people crying out at midnight "behold the bridegroom cometh". That cannot be the rapture. And it cannot be Angels, these people are crying out the gospel and angels are not given the honor of crying out the gospel.

The point of the story is not that the foolish virgins are somehow not virgins, or not waiting for the Lord or don't have lamps. The point is that not being prepared for this event has real consequences and being fully prepared has real reward.

Be faithful, even to the point of death, and I will give you the crown of life.”
...proving the ones left behind need the oil they went and got, but it was too late to be in the pretrib rapture.

All rapture verses are pretrib setting.
Psssst....including the virgin parable story
