Elect, salvation, and the book of life is not in the Ephesians passage. Salvation is not the context of Ephesians 1 but the blessings that are found in Christ that come to one who first trusts in Christ.

3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:
4 According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love:

The word "according" takes the context of verse 4 back to verse 3. The context is spiritual blessings that are found in Christ. These blessings have been chosen before the foundation of the world to be given to all that are in Christ.

The verse does not state, "According as he hath chosen us TO BE in him..."
OK, I get it. You believe that "all that are in Christ" are not saved, and Christ will cast many of them into hell. Wow, I've never heard anything so bazar. Makes me wonder where you get these strange unbiblical ideas from

Where do these two calls come from? The Bible says we are called, that's it. Then of the many called, few are chosen. I don't see any reason to believe we're puppets, we can choose God, not choose Him or even choose Him and then fall away, all of which are Biblically supported. (2 Chronicles 15:2, Hebrews 6:4-6)
Chronicles 15:2 is not speaking about a general offer of salvation, (which can be accepted or rejected). If you read it in context, you would find it's merely an exhortation to remain steadfast.

Hebrews 6:4-6 says nothing about a "believer falling away", which is impossible in any case. If you read the context of the passage, you will find the (person who fell away) was never a born again believer to begin with. Plucking verses out of their intended context and misapplying them, always leads to confusion.

All of that is based on your own private opinion, none of it is supported by the Bible.
I agree. Paul tells the Christians in Ephesus that it is by grace they have been saved:

(Eph 2:4-5) But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved),

Post #4,518 cites what the Bible supports.
Not sure why you quoted those 50+ verses, I haven't seen you deal with any of them. Citing verses of the Bible doesn't help, unless you can understand them in their intended context.

That was my earlier point, which you seemed to disagree with.

I don't remember reading that part.

I'm not sure what you mean by "caused" in this instance since you already claimed that she didn't need anyone's help to sin. The Bible claims that Eve was deceived by Satan. That seems wholly different than Satan causing her to sin.

Could Eve have rejected Satan's reasoning?

I don't see that anywhere in the text or the Bible at large. Federal Headship is a philosophical concept imposed on the Bible isn't it?
There a lots of things the Bible doesn't mention, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't connect the dots in order to see the big picture.

Yet,in Scripture,we are told God does get mad and is sad.

If we do so,and are made in God's image and likeness, how is it not possible our emotions were inbued within us, made innate, because they were attributes of our Creator first?

Always associate divine wrath with just love: of sinners, of truth and of righteousness.
Human anger should reflect God's love, and neither should be mere emotion, unguided by reason.

Not continuously,no.

Were you utterly always evil before God called you to his grace?
Haven't you heard about Noahs flood, have you ever wondered why God destroyed around 2 billion men, women, children and unborn children in the womb with a world wide flood?

Do you suppose that you were any better than them, before you were saved?

Genesis 6:5 "Then the Lord saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every intent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually."

All the unconverted are as those described in Genesis 6:5, you may not like to hear it but it's true according to the Bible.

I have found most who believe the "man centred, saved by works" version of the gospel, have no problem with being saved by grace. As long as it's grace + their faith that produces salvation.
It's like a magic formular, just add your faith to grace and bingo you've got your ticket. All you need to do now is be good until the end and you'll get the prize.

I heard God gave everyone the opportunity to build arks,
but they refused to repent and reaped the just result.

Scripture does not teach this.

Was Mary born saved or did she choose to evil continuously?
Seriously.
Mary was a sinner like the rest of us, except she had to sacrifice animals to temporarily atone for her sins, as per Jewish law. I believe she was converted and became a born again Christian at a later stage.

Did she choose evil continuously... you stated clearly that humans can only do evil continuously?

No,it's not.
Noah was a drunk. He planted a vineyard after the flood. Scripture reports one time when he became drunk. Genesis 9.

It isn't a sin to drink alcohol. It is a sin to get drunk. I e reporting of his drunkenness. But,Noah had a whole vineyard of wine stock.

Yet 2Peter 2 tells us,Noah was a preacher of righteousness.

Before Noah there was Enoch. Jude 1.

Did you hear about Sodom and Gomorrah?
God told Abraham, after many negotiations on numbers, he would spare the cities if he found ten righteous ones among them.
Genesis 18

He did not. And yet, Lot was spared Gods wrath after proving himself unrighteous!

When Lot offered his virgin daughters to the men of Sodom. Because they first insisted Lot release the two visitors to his house, angels unbeknownst to them,so they could be gang raped by the men of Sodom. ("to know" them was biblical language for, have sex with. As in, Adam knew his wife and beget...)

God's spirit was in the world. Enoch and Noah ministered, the Greek κῆρυξ ,"kēryx" =herald.
To proclaim as a herald, κηρύσσω = kēryssō.

Yer,again, unless God's spirit ,which was upon the Earth then, as we read of Enoch in Genesis 5.
Genesis 6, God says his spirit will not strive with man forever. Meaning in part,God had influence upon humans. But forever on Earth was not to be. So he limited our days.

The New Testament tells us,unless God unhardens the heart, people cannot understand the things of God while in their natural mind. Because these things are spiritually discerned.

So,to your observation of people's drowned during the deluge, numbers unknown, that was God's judgement choice. No one could come to understand the things of God on their own. They are spiritually discerned.

And by the way, Sodom and Gomorrah occurred long after the flood!

To answer your question toward me personally.
I am made in the image and likeness of God. Not Satan.

I was raised by good people who instilled morality, an understanding of integrity, virtue and honor. They were Christians. As were their parents before them.
I was Baptized when I was 17.

We are saved by grace. Not of ourselves so that none shall boast. No one comes to Christ unless the Father leads them.

Therefore, I did not do evil constantly. As you contend is the fate of us all before Salvation.

If you did so, you and your family have my deepest sympathies.

Did she choose evil continuously... you stated clearly that humans can only do evil continuously?
Noah and Abraham were obviously born-again Christians also :)

Genesis 6:9 These are the generations of Noah: Noah was a just man and perfect in his generations, and Noah walked with God.

Genesis 15:6 And he believed in the LORD; and he counted it to him for righteousness.

So you are following TULIP doctrine now or is it that sense of humour once again? ;)

Regeneration was not possible prior to the death and resurrection of Christ Jesus.

By the way my thread never went up so I guess it was not approved - must of been vetted by a futurist :) Never mind - lots of fun to be had with the threads already up lol
