By the way my thread never went up so I guess it was not approved - must of been vetted by a futurist :) Never mind - lots of fun to be had with the threads already up lol

Always good to have a positive attitude.

Chronicles 15:2 is not speaking about a general offer of salvation, (which can be accepted or rejected). If you read it in context, you would find it's merely an exhortation to remain steadfast.

Hebrews 6:4-6 says nothing about a "believer falling away", which is impossible in any case. If you read the context of the passage, you will find the (person who fell away) was never a born again believer to begin with. Plucking verses out of their intended context and misapplying them, always leads to confusion.

But what about the two calls which I asked about? I've looked and I haven't found biblical evidence for them.

Quote: "Hebrews 6:4-6 says nothing about a "believer falling away"

The Hebrews verse talks about exactly that, people who fall away from God. They were enlightened and shared in the Spirit, then fell away.

Also why exhort someone to remain steadfast if it's impossible to fall away? Seems like a wasted exhortation to me... Actually the Bible tells us to persevere several times. A complete waste of time for believers who couldn't possibly not persevere as it's their predestination.

You dont have to go over it again.

Sin is a servant to God, it serves His Purpose, just like the devil, he serves Gods purpose, when God is finished with him, He will cast him into the lake of fire as well.

Well apparently I do, which I did actually, since you mistakenly attribute evil and sin to God who is holy. The illiteracy rates in this thread are alarming.

Sin is a servant to God? Is that why He wiped out the entire globe to begin again with Noah and his family? The devil also helps God out in His role as Master of all and everything? I bet you also think that demons are angels and satan took 1/3 of the angels with him and those became demons. I bet you are not aware there are actually rebellions against God by spiritual beings?

And so on

Yes, unless we are born again, we can only choose to do evil continuously.

That's not true. I don't think you understand the implications of humanity constantly 'doing evil'. People who claim Christ as Savior also do evil..

People need to think before they hand out knee jerk reactions that illustrate some form of indoctrination in the church or some less than benevolent platform on the web, where, we know people who want to know search for knowing.

Ethical evil is the intentional violation of a moral standard or law by a conscious, responsible creature

I see. So you believe God enjoys a little ethical evil now and then? Find the nearest wall and bang your head until you....never mind. Won't help anyway.

Yes, I do know that there is a wide variation in what people believe, and I didn't imply that Calvinism and Arminianism were the ONLY views available or even possible. I see them as polar-opposite views, just as I see north and south as polar-opposite coordinates; I know and hope my reader knows that there is a lot of room between north and south.

There is also east and west. ;)

Without faith, it is impossible to please God. No unbeliever is pleasing God. What do you call this?

Take the time needed to learn what Calvinism tells us... and you will see why so many assume you are a Calvinist.
You all assume anyone quote what Jesus says,God calls us to him,no one can come to him unless this occurs, are Calvinists.

Most of you who do this know nothing about Calvinism. Especially that John Calvin did not want his teachings to carry his namesake. Or that Calvin did not originate the doctrine.

Jesus did.Followed by others well before John.
