Romance is very personal feeling. If a girl and a boy develops friendship, they really enjoy spending time together, they think about each other often, they want to hold each other s hand or arm when walking together, I would say that's starting romance.

For us on this side of the globe, Courtship is two people who intend to get married, they see a pastor who accompanies them for six months, they discuss all that needs to be discuss and their differences, they do premarital check ups. During this time they discuss, finances, sex, quarrels, priorities, children or no children, role of partners, God's position in a home.
If the pastor finds out during their discussions that they do not have same values he advices them to let go.
