What is happening In Revelations 14:14

14 I looked, and there before me was a white cloud, and seated on the cloud was one like a son of man with a crown of gold on his head and a sharp sickle in his hand. 15 Then another angel came out of the temple and called in a loud voice to him who was sitting on the cloud, “Take your sickle and reap, because the time to reap has come, for the harvest of the earth is ripe.”

16 So he who was seated on the cloud swung his sickle over the earth, and the earth was harvested.

You really should look at the whole picture being represented in this passage:

Revelation 14:

14 And I looked, and behold a white cloud, and upon the cloud one sat like unto the Son of man, having on his head a golden crown, and in his hand a sharp sickle. 15 And another angel came out of the temple, crying with a loud voice to him that sat on the cloud, Thrust in thy sickle, and reap: for the time is come for thee to reap; for the harvest of the earth is ripe. 16 And he that sat on the cloud thrust in his sickle on the earth; and the earth was reaped. 17 And another angel came out of the temple which is in heaven, he also having a sharp sickle. 18 And another angel came out from the altar, which had power over fire; and cried with a loud cry to him that had the sharp sickle, saying, Thrust in thy sharp sickle, and gather the clusters of the vine of the earth; for her grapes are fully ripe. 19 And the angel thrust in his sickle into the earth, and gathered the vine of the earth, and cast it into the great winepress of the wrath of God. 20 And the winepress was trodden without the city, and blood came out of the winepress, even unto the horse bridles, by the space of a thousand and six hundred furlongs.

Verses 14-16 are an illustration of the rapture at the Second Coming of Christ.

Verses 17-20 are an illustration of the "dishing out" of the Wrath of God upon the earth.

Mat 13:30 Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn.

Mat 24:39 And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.
Mat 24:40 Then shall two be in the field; the one shall be taken, and the other left.

Rev 12:14 And to the woman were given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness, into her place, where she is nourished for a time, and times, and half a time, from the face of the serpent.

The "barn" where they faithful of Israel are gathered may be the abandoned area of Edom where God protects them.

The reaping of the earth in Rev 14 suggests we meet the Lord in the air.

Barn also suggests heaven above

The bowl judgements begin right after the events in Rev.14:14-15

This is a two fold event

Great and Terrible Day of the Lord Joel 2

Great and Glorious Day of the Lord- Acts 2

It is not uncommon for people to think that the verses in Matthew that describe "being taken" refers to the rapture. However, this particular "taking" in Israel is for punishment not to escape wrath. Those left behind are the ones that will flee and be supernaturally protected by God for 3 1/2 years until the return of Christ to establish his earthly kingdom.

The Lord Jesus Christ.

The 6th seal, the destruction of Mystery Babylon (the mother of harlots), it marks the end of tribulation and the beginning of God's wrath, the Day of the Lord. Chapter 14 is a 'zoom in' to the 6th seal.

Not a chance.

Taking scripture out of order in Revelations means you will never come to the truth.

Timing of the Day of the Lord

Acts 2
19 And I will show wonders in the heaven above
and signs on the earth beneath,
blood, and fire, and vapor of smoke;
20 the sun shall be turned into darkness
and the moon into blood,
before the day of the Lord comes,

the great and manifest day.

Happens at Rev. 6: 12 When he opened the sixth seal, I looked, and behold, there was a great earthquake; and the sun became black as sackcloth, the full moon became like blood,

Story Continues

Now concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our assembling to meet him, we beg you, brethren, 2 not to be quickly shaken in mind or excited, either by spirit or by word, or by letter purporting to be from us, to the effect that the day of the Lord has come. 3 Let no one deceive you in any way; for that day will not come, unless the rebellion comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of perdition, 4 who opposes and exalts himself against every so-called god or object of worship, so that he takes his seat in the temple of God, proclaiming himself to be God.

The Day of the Lord cannot come till the antichrist takes his set in the Temple --so not before 1260 days, middle of the 7

75 days after the antichrist takes his seat in the temple

So, some of you have no problem with the Lord taking orders from an angel?

The verse is this: "..one sat like unto the Son of man..." for a reason.

Yes --But not as orders but an announcement--end of 6000 years have come IMO

when Jesus comes back He is not coming as another sacrificial lamb (Nice guy turn the other cheek etc..) He is coming at the head of an angel army to take vengeance on the Beast and all who are left that worship Him. Because in rev 6 and 7 we learn that the whole Church (Gentile church) is martyred because they will not take the mark of the beast. So god is pouring out his vengence on the earth, and bringing everyone left before the throne of judgement. (He is killing everyone left.)

I think this refers to the appearing of the stark division between those who are in Christ and those who are of the world. The "one like unto the Son of man" represents the Body of Christ in heaven. The action of reaping is the bringing together, in one accord, the Body in heaven and on earth - not spatially, but in union with maturity in Christ, distinct from the world.

The reaping of the clusters of grapes and their subsequent crushing is the amalgamation of those who were of the world. This is also a gathering but to a different end. The juice of their fruit is unfit for kingly consumption and so it is spilled upon the ground. Here, they are found to be worthless in their endeavors and practices. Jesus said, “I am the true vine,” which would indicate that there can be false vines. Here, these are those who appeared like a field of harvest but whose substance was evil.

Together, this is a type of judgement (judgement is simply revealing what something truly is) wherein the Body of Christ appears as they truly are in Christ (the white cloud vs the dark cloud) and the people of the world appear as they are, against God and His people. For the Body of Christ, members will no longer be able to excuse variances in their divisions, acceptance of sinful practices in their liturgy, and man-endorsed doctrines that oppose God's truth. "Come out of her, my people" is the command from the Spirit to God's people. In chapter 14 of Revelation, either they will obey the Spirit or be casualties of this divisive distinction at the hand of God.

Dont agree with much you quoted .

Your quote: is killing everyone left, Just not true at all

Zechariah 14:16 Then the survivors from all the nations that have attacked Jerusalem will go up year after year to worship the King, the Lord Almighty, and to celebrate the Festival of Tabernacles.

ABOUT THE DEAD IN CHRIST

9 When he opened the fifth seal, I saw under the altar the souls of those who had been slain for the word of God and for the witness they had borne; 10 they cried out with a loud voice, “O Sovereign Lord, holy and true, how long before thou wilt judge and avenge our blood on those who dwell upon the earth?” 11 Then they were each given a white robe and told to rest a little longer, until the number of their fellow servants and their brethren should be complete, who were to be killed as they themselves had been. Rev 6

The righteous Tribulation saints were told to rest a little longer, and they are not alone. All those who died in the church age are also waiting for the Day of the Lord.

Remember the story of the son living with his father's wife?

5 It is actually reported that there is immorality among you, and of a kind that is not found even among pagans; for a man is living with his father’s wife.

5 hand this man over to Satan for the destruction of the flesh, so that his spirit may be saved on the day of the Lord.

All those who have died from the beginning of the church age to end of the Trumpet judgements in Revelations 14 will be resurrected on the Day of the Lord!

How do you know the number to be killed isn't those in the 1st century church and the day of the Lord wasn't the destruction of Israel?
