The title "Christ" actually means "anointed one", the same as the Hebrew "Messiah." The Bible tells us that He was anointed:

NKJV Act 4:27 "For truly against Your holy Servant Jesus, whom You anointed, both Herod and Pontius Pilate, with the Gentiles and the people of Israel, were gathered together

Act 10:38 how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him.

Heb 1:8 But to the Son He says: "YOUR THRONE, O GOD, IS FOREVER AND EVER; A SCEPTER OF RIGHTEOUSNESS IS THE SCEPTER OF YOUR KINGDOM.
Heb 1:9 YOU HAVE LOVED RIGHTEOUSNESS AND HATED LAWLESSNESS; THEREFORE GOD, YOUR GOD, HAS ANOINTED YOU WITH THE OIL OF GLADNESS MORE THAN YOUR COMPANIONS."
Heb 1:10 And: "YOU, LORD, IN THE BEGINNING LAID THE FOUNDATION OF THE EARTH, AND THE HEAVENS ARE THE WORK OF YOUR HANDS.

Jesus is indeed the anointed One. Scripture says so. We have no need to guess.

I am in complete agreement with @DavidLamb post #101.
And my answer wasn't a guessing game. A Christian is a Christian simply because Christ, and Christ alone, makes them one. He is both The Anointed One and The One with the Anointing, and because of that, He is the one who gives us the Holy Spirit. It all starts and ends with Christ with the elect being only the recipients of that

Dave I don't know what Dave was talking about but I do know he he don't accept Christ as meaning The Anointed with the anoining. Anyway you're not understanding my post but if I recall they were all questions mostly you're talking about something off the wall and not answering the questions I don't care if it's Paul dave Harry Coon the holy spirit is King word and guess what it's anointing in some

Serious many peopl Do not know difference between Christ and ask them what Messiah means ?they don't know it's the same and then they he don't even know what Christ means in English either why are you telling me what I've been telling everybody I'm just telling you people they don't know what they're saying ,calling themselves Christian and don't know what it means they just go with the flow it's called The pied Piper. did you know Jesus when he was the Messiah walking the Earth or do you know Jesus as king of kings or Lord & God that job is retired passed down & it took along the Sabbath ,he Jesus finished it off the purification becoming sin as a high priest purifying others. Or did you read something else in this picture do you have no clue what being talking about from the scripture I'm waiting for the king return and when He returns he's going to bring the bread and the wine and then he would drink that wine with me for who vowed not to drink wine until he came & set up his kingdom ?

Starting with the seven attributes of the holy spirit in the nine fruits of the spirit because it no plan to see it written we hold the Holy Spirit to 16 attributes but I will add the gifts there are many let's try to make 128 it can only be done by the Holy Spirit so friend I agree with the Holy Spirit all men speak not the truth starting with Myself

You ask me why I am telling you what "Christ" means. It's because you said that it meant "with the anointing." He certainly has an anointing, (despite what you say about me not believing that), but that is not what "Christ" means. It means "anointed" or "anointed one."

Jesus the man flesh blood was anointed as The christ The Anointed one ,that was primosed. You can find scripture on that ..The next 3 years Gospel This One anointing did all you see in the Gospel even this Anointing let's say radiated that the apostle could speak using his Anointing.This is to note the Holy Spirit The Anointing could Not Yet be giving to any other man!. Jesus The Son of man was Anointed And The Christ Savior. Spoke of the Holy Spirit that Was to Come because Jesus as He knew was to Take His Seat. Story short When Jesus fulfilled all the prophecies and Full Will The Anointed One The Complete Fullness of All God Lord .The Anointed Jesus Now after being Gloried Has All Authority heaven And earth !Having Now the scars to bear witness Jesus Has Everythig For us, Jesus Has the Anointing To Give spread Ruach to His Flock. People that recieve Him As Lord And God .The Anointing is Alway with Jesus and will always be with me and others forever. Just Know Jesus Now Glorified is He who HAS the Anointing to Give.
remember one thing for ever Jesus born man and then born devine Quickened ,He Did Everything By The Law Both Heaven & &Earth .meaning no short cut and just take over everything That would void His own word.

The Father giving His Son.

The Son sacrificing His life to be tortured and given for our sins, grace.

Through faith, by a personal surrender to Him and a life inspired by such surrender.

Those three choices make up the Christian.......
 
Exactly but you Also said Christ is An English word
.IAm waiting on The king return ,
so He Alone has the Anointing to give and Gave. Time to know only jews are waiting on the Messiah. They don't know he came and gone and is Seated as king High Priest and Has the Anointing But Know what the Anointing is, i still see nobody focus on Him and they use his title and frawn on The Authority .

Matt. 12:49-50, "And He stretched out His hand toward His disciples and said, “Here are My mother and My brothers! For whoever does the will of My Father in heaven is My brother and sister and mother.”

I am sorry, but I am not "playing dumb" with you. I have always said that "Christ" (and "Messiah") mean anointed, or anointed one. I do apologise if I wrote anything that gave you the idea that I was playing dumb. I try to be straightforward, honest, and polite in my posts.

I don't understand. What stones? Where in the Bible are we told that Jesus read stones? In the four gospels, the word "stones" appears twelve times, but not once are we told that Jesus read them:

Mat_3:9 and do not think to say to yourselves, 'We have Abraham as our father.' For I say to you that God is able to raise up children to Abraham from these stones.
Mat_4:3 Now when the tempter came to Him, he said, "If You are the Son of God, command that these stones become bread."
Mat_23:37 "O Jerusalem, Jerusalem, the one who kills the prophets and stones those who are sent to her! How often I wanted to gather your children together, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings, but you were not willing!
Mrk_5:5 And always, night and day, he was in the mountains and in the tombs, crying out and cutting himself with stones.

Only once you figure our what the stones are then you find all kinds of stuff sense you dint know what in me i can inly Share that .i can share examin a stone u think i recall sharing that to you already. shape texture anything you can
carry a stone in your pocket if need be
but figure it out my word is writ in me Now you find it inside of yourself .
i share this last on that Only.When a stone is under Running water its Well eventually very smooth.

Just be glad he didnt say read or count the stars lol so Know He share to individual, things of himself seen if you can find the exact wording in bible without seeking that it not true or even in the bible .make u want more is His goal me i dint care i a man , wear in filthy stinky rags

But how can I figure out what the stones are? As I say, the Bible says absolutely nothing about Jesus reading stones, so how can I know what you meant when you say that He did?

Of course you and I can examine a stone, and find out its shape, texture, etc. We can carry small stones in our pocket. (I'm not sure why I would do that, but I could.) But those things don't confirm that Jesus read stones.
