When I say biblical rule, I meant approved by God.

Is it ok to remarry with an adult kid so your new partner would be a step parent, or do you not consider them to be the parent of your adult kid? I mean is that biblical?

Esther was definitely approved by God because she stood for her people and spoke to her husband defending them. She could not have done this if she wasn't his wife. I did feel sorry for Vashti though.

I'm not saying that what she did was right, I was just sad that she couldn't say no to being put on display.

I wonder what Esther did to make herself 'pass' or disguise her looks so people/her husband wouldn't think she was Jewish. Straightened her hair? Had nose surgery? Put on a non-Jewish accent?I was always a bit of a Vashti sympathizer as well.

my older brother stopped working at 42 because he & his wife decided that cuz her salary was high, he would stay home & raise the kids. i will always think that that was the wrong choice especially since he was very very smart. he graduated 5th in his class & never studied!!! he never really applied himself in the workforce.
Well someone needs to raise the kids if they don't have a granny/nanny to help them.
Do you reckon his wife ought to have given up her job and your brother got a better one? Or lived on a lower income? IDK it's hard to judge what others do, but since they both agreed on that arrangement it was right for them.
