David Lamb, I noticed that you have a spokesperson here. Isn’t it supposed to be, “Work out your own salvation”?

PHILIPPIANS 2:12
12 Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.

If you cannot even fulfill a simple commandment like this, then it is impossible for you to fulfill the greater commandments as well.
If you cannot be trusted with a small commandment, how can you be entrusted with a greater one?
I don't have a spokesman here. There may well be other posters who agree with me, but that doesn't make them my spokesmen, does it?

You say that you do not depend on your own understanding.

But when it comes to the promise of the Lord God in Gen 9:11, it is clear that you do depend on your own understanding.
That is why you interpret it in a literal sense.
And because you cannot see what we see, your seemingly clear understanding contradicts Ecclesiastes 1:9 and Matthew 24:35.
No it doesn't. Genesis 9:11 addresses a flood event and God promises not to destroy the earth by a flood event. This is not a promise to never destroy the earth by another means. At the end of the Millennial Period, God will destroy the earth with a great fire.

When we are discussing the Word of God, a person should be serious, because the words of God are sacred and should not be mixed with foolish answers.
You ask inane questions, you deserve the answers you get.

Frankly, I don't care what you think "a person should" do, because you don't treat the word of God as sacred. Instead, you twist and warp it into unrecognizable codswollop.

Because of your answer, I once again affirm Ecclesiastes 1:9 and Matthew 24:35.
Which are both completely irrelevant to my comment.

That text has no bearing on your concern.

If you cannot even fulfill a simple commandment like this, then it is impossible for you to fulfill the greater commandments as well.
If you cannot be trusted with a small commandment, how can you be entrusted with a greater one?
As is often the case, you have misunderstood the text. It's not a "commandment"; it's an imperative statement, and the meaning is "continue faithfully living your faith in fear of the Lord", not, "live your Christian life without the support or assistance of any other person". The context is encouragement, not criticism.

Further, even if my answering your question to David were somehow "wrong" (which it is not), that would not in any way implicate David in the alleged wrongdoing. Get your head straight, man!

And besides, how sure are you that all the Scribes, Pharisees, and Jews were included in what you are saying?
Are YOU sure that all the Scribes, Pharisees, and Jews were included in the actions you cite each time YOU accuse someone of acting like them? Your hypocrisy is astounding.

"If you cannot even fulfill a simple commandment like this, then it is impossible for you to fulfill the greater commandments as well.
If you cannot be trusted with a small commandment, how can you be entrusted with a greater one?"

Brother, Jesus’ own words make the principle unavoidable — faithfulness in the small commandments reveals whether the heart is truly submitted to God, because the one who refuses the lesser obedience shows he does not possess the inward posture required for the greater, just as our Lord taught that “he who is faithful in little is faithful also in much” and that “he who is unrighteous in little is unrighteous also in much,” meaning the inability to keep the simple command exposes a deeper spiritual problem of the heart that will inevitably manifest in the larger matters of righteousness.

Sorry. I thought he was your spokesperson.
He hasn’t even done what s
He was supposed to do for herself yet, but he’s already speaking on behalf of others.

I may not know you personally in this physical life, but what we are discussing here concerns salvation and our spiritual life.
And based on what I see from your words and behavior, you come across as arrogant when it comes to spiritual matters.
You seem to think very highly of yourself. Honestly, I can see in you the attitude of the Scribes and Pharisees (Ecc 1:9 & Matt 24:35).

Because of your pride, you feel the need to answer even when you are not the one being asked.

How certain are you that you are already saved?
And why do you presume to speak for others and answer on their behalf?

If you want to answer on behalf of others, that is your own choice, and I am not forcing you to stop.
But when you make a mockery of the Word of God, that is what I consider arrogant.

I am serious about my question: What kind of water did John the Baptist use for baptism?

You take pride in claiming that you know a lot, yet apparently you did not even know that, when discussing the Word of God, there are two kinds of water being referred to: literal water and spiritual water.

If the Lord wills it, I will leave, but never because you are making a mockery of God’s sacred Word, just as the soldiers mocked and tormented the Lord Jesus.

Your belief, just like theirs, is that you can stop the sharing of the truth found in God’s Word. They were wrong because it continued despite their efforts. And you are also mistaken, because you cannot stop it if God does not will it to stop.

You ask inane questions, you deserve the answers you get.

As I said, don’t worry. Even if you make a mockery of the Word of God, there will still be many people who will agree with you. They may even applaud you for what you are doing. Isn’t that really what you are aiming for?
Is that why you are forcing people to believe in the teachings you promote, so that they will praise you?

I’ll say it again: many people may believe in the mockery you are making of the Word of God.
But the Lord will never be wrong about what He has said.
As my testimony as well, in accordance with Ecclesiastes 1:9 and Matthew 24:35.
MATTHEW 7:13
13 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:

My purpose is to reach the few lost sheep of God who may happen to come across this.
Even if there is only one of them, it would be worth it to find and reach that person.
MATTHEW 22:14
14 For many are called, but few are chosen.

Because we are Christians who have come to know the one true God and have been enlightened by His Word, including the lost sheep. Although we are only a few, the path we walk is the narrow and difficult road.
We are certain that this is the true path that the Lord Jesus has shown us.
MATTHEW 7:14
14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

And even if many people believe you, I am not afraid.
Because you cannot deceive even a single lost sheep, for God has already exposed you to us.
MATTHEW 7:15
15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.

I may not know you personally in this physical life, but what we are discussing here concerns salvation and our spiritual life.
And based on what I see from your words and behavior, you come across as arrogant when it comes to spiritual matters.
You seem to think very highly of yourself.
This from the person who continually says, "We who have come to know the one true God..." and says that I and others don't know Him. Classic hypocrisy.

How certain are you that you are already saved?
100%

And why do you presume to speak for others and answer on their behalf?
I don't.

I am serious about my answer: the wet kind.

Wrong again, with regard to John's baptism, in which there was only one kind of water: the physical, literal kind.

This is explained in Scripture. However, since you choose not to learn from me, I won't waste my time telling you where.

I’m not arrogant, because I have nothing to brag about to you. I’m simply sharing what I know to be the truth. Just because it doesn’t align with your beliefs doesn’t make me arrogant. Nevertheless, I would never mock or make a joke out of the Word of God the way you do.

You are the arrogant one. Who are you to make a joke out of the serious Word of God? Do you know why, in depictions of Him, the Lord Jesus is often portrayed as not smiling or laughing? People may not realize that during His physical life, the Lord was joyful and had a sense of humor. But His lack of laughter in these depictions points to the spiritual life, that the Word of God should be taken seriously and should never be made into a joke.

So, in the way you treat the Word of God, you are actually revealing who you truly are.

You ask inane questions, you deserve the answers you get.

If you believe that what I am sharing does not align with your beliefs, does that give you a reason to retaliate against me?

By your own words and actions, you are revealing who you truly are, whether you belong to God or not.

For those who truly belong to God, they obey His commandments and faithfully fulfill what the Lord has commanded them to do.
ROMANS 12:19-20
19 Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord.
20 Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head.

Now you’re suddenly backpedaling and claiming that you were serious in your answer.

But if, according to you, you were being serious, then where is all the wisdom you were boasting about?
Why didn’t you know that the two kinds of water being referred to are simply literal water and spiritual water, and that those are the only answers that should have been given?

You keep insisting on teaching others about the Word of God, even though there is only one true teacher of God’s Word, the Lord, who is called the Master.
MATTHEW 23:8
8 But be not ye called Rabbi: for one is your Master, even Christ; and all ye are brethren.

Aren’t you being arrogant? You’re even taking on the Lord’s role as the teacher?
No wonder you have the audacity to say “WRONG AGAIN,” because you are claiming the position of a teacher yourself.

Yet despite all your attempts to teach others, and perhaps because you have already read the entire Holy Bible, I know that you have also read about the water that the Lord will give.
Why, then, did you fail to see and understand it?
Aren’t you the one revealing your true self through your own words and actions?

How can the water given by the Lord be literal, physical kind?
Would His chosen ones come to life in this world if this spring of water were placed inside them?
JOHN 4:14
14 But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.

Isn’t it clear to you by now that I do not regard any human being as a teacher when it comes to the Word of God?
For God alone is the one and only teacher who can reveal the truth contained in His Word, and no human being can do so.

Apparently, you do not understand this either, even though you have already read it.
After all, there is no other book concerning salvation except the Holy Bible.
From what the Apostle John saw, no human being is able to open or to reveal the truth of God’s Word.
REVELATION 5:1-5
5 And I saw in the right hand of him that sat on the throne a book written within and on the backside, sealed with seven seals.
2 And I saw a strong angel proclaiming with a loud voice, Who is worthy to open the book, and to loose the seals thereof?
3 And no man in heaven, nor in earth, neither under the earth, was able to open the book, neither to look thereon.
4 And I wept much, because no man was found worthy to open and to read the book, neither to look thereon.
5 And one of the elders saith unto me, Weep not: behold, the Lion of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, hath prevailed to open the book, and to loose the seven seals thereof.

It’s truly unfortunate that people are being led to believe in your teachings.

JOHN 14:12
12 Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.
For one thing, I don't recall Jesus ever moving a mountain by faith, yet he said his followers would have this ability.
Did Jesus ever speak in tongues? Yet some of His followers did.
Picking up deadly snakes? Even getting bit by them? Never happened to Jesus. Acts 28:3-6

I have explained how you are continually arrogant. Your failure to understand and accept it are not my problem.

Who are you to make a joke out of the serious Word of God?
Who are you to twist and corrupt the word of God?
