YES! Thank you. THAT is the prime motivator behind my having created this thread.

The politicians will need something toward which to direct the gaze of the sheeple masses around the globe as to the disappearance of at least enough people that it can't be ignored.

The rapture movies, in my estimation, far over-exaggerate the amount of chaos that will ensue upon the earth with the disappearance of some, with the majority still left behind.

My observations at this time are that not very many have among professing believers have truly placed their faith in the gospel that actually saves. The works-based "gospels" out there will not save anyone, but the majority left behind will perhaps learn that the hard way once they look around and realize they're still here, and understand why. The rest of humanity will continue on in their bubble-headed indifference go Christ...for a time...

Last time I checked, even the Vatican religion promotes the teaching amongst its followers that they will all be here during the tribulation...as if the tribulation was meant for ALL of humanity regardless of Paul's declaration that we are not reserved unto wrath.

One last tidbit about this latter point is that just as many people will die in the first half of the tribulation as will die the second half. This is a major counter-point to the labeling if which half is genuinely God's wrath. It's ALL His wrath, with the greater measure of His wrath, never before seen on this earth, poured out in the second half. Granted, but the analysis by some, such as Steven Anderson down in Texas, no. They are simply wrong given the lingual idioms and grammatical constructs of the root language.

For those out there who have not read their Bibles in Revelation, 1/4 of the world's population will perish in the first half of the tribulation, and another 1/3 will die in the second half (which is another 1/4 of the original population number at the start of the first half), meaning that by the end of the tribulation, an entire 1/2 of all the earth's population will have perished.

MM ok was just reading a book by Astrid Jorgensen about how she directed Pub Choir and Couch Choirs all around the world, and that was interesting - getting everyone to sing together - in 3 or 4 part harmony.

I mean don't church do this every Sunday..? But actually they don't really. Most churches just get people to sing along to a Praise Band Hillsong performance. Its not the best experience because you can't even hear yourself or anyone else sing.

I mean its cool to create your own kind of music for God. But I guess a lot of people are a bit lazy and need some kind of pre-programmed set list. Not everyone is musical.

I think our singing voices need a bit more fine tuning and encouragment than what is currently being offered in many churches it just seems to me.
The anointing doesn't come on those who are doing it just as a performance.

This kind of thinking (reving up people with mood music) has its place but maybe in the gym rather than in church? IDK

Churches have tradtionally been huge caverns of worship have you ever been inside a cathedral with the high ceilings and echo but then there's silence you can hear a pin drop. In the silence sometimes it's when you most can hear from God.

In heaven, or at least the book of Revelation, everyone is always singing. Angels are always singing. There is a reason why 'The Sound of Music' was such a popular musical/movie, if only everyone could just run through the hills and sing like that with pure joy in their hearts.

Wait, what? The Bible is replete with accounts of aliens not only visiting but creating hybrid humans. Moreover, Scripture teaches that they will be doing this again in the last days. In fact, that is why God has to sterilize the planet with fire. Their contamination will be the last straw. This is well understood by many, if not most Christians.

I've driven many to the scriptures to see these truths of which I spoke concerning worship. The defensive hounds of churchianity out there do indeed get upset when confronted with the prospect of their false worship being...well, false and thus unacceptable before the Father. Some do ask what true worship is, then, to which I have always pointed to scripture. Therein is one of many reasons I've grown to so love the word of God as the "sign post" pointing the way to the One who inspired it all for us to enter in to genuine fellowship and relationship with Him.

This requires a VERY deep study in order to dispel the usual tendency toward forcing parallels by way of misconstrued understandings of key words in English translations that do little to nothing in giving to the reader an actual in-depth comprehension of such things as the original words in Greek and Hebrew translated as "sing" and "singing." With this being such a peripheral topic compared to that of worship, I'll leave that to others here to do each one's own homework on this.
