Death entered the world in Genesis 3, and God Himself slew the first animal to clothe Adam and Eve. Abel simply walked in the pattern God had already established.
ok. but what about the vegetarianism or was that just a one-off.
Or was it that sheep/lamb was the only God-approved meat at the time.

When I read Genesis 1:29, I see God giving plants, fruit, and seed‑bearing vegetation to humanity as food. There is no mention of meat. There is no hint of animal consumption. This is not symbolic; it is stated plainly as God’s original provision.
So yes—Adam, Eve, and the early generations were vegetarians, not because of health, culture, or preference, but because God had not yet granted permission to eat animals.
This was not a “one‑off.” This was the original creation order.

But then what about Abel's sacrifice, or was that only for God? Abel didn't eat the meat or fat portions of his firstborns?

When Moses writes: “Abel… brought of the firstlings of his flock and of the fat thereof.” (Gen. 4:4)
he is describing a sacrificial act, not a meal.

The “fat portions” (ḥēleb) in Scripture are always the choicest parts reserved for God alone. Later, under the Law, the fat was never eaten—it was burned on the altar as God’s portion (Lev. 3:16–17).

This pattern begins with Abel.
So yes—Abel killed the animal, and the offering was entirely for God.There is no biblical indication he ate any part of it.

oh ok but what about the meat maybe the fat was just rendered and they ate the meat. Or God ate it?
After all elsewhere in the Bible God seems to like the burnt offering and the sweet savour of it.

He also liked the shewbread. Was it just to smell but not partake?

When Scripture speaks of a “sweet savour” (Gen. 8:21; Lev. 1:9), it does not mean God literally consumed the smoke.

It means: God was pleased with the offering.
The “sweet savour” is symbolic language describing divine acceptance.
God does not eat.
God does not consume nutrients.
God receives worship.

The burning of the fat and meat was a symbolic act of giving the best to God.

The shewbread (Lev. 24:5–9) was:
placed before God,
symbolizing His presence,
and then eaten by the priests, not by God.
God “liking” the shewbread means: He ordained it as part of worship.

Not that He physically consumed it.
The bread was His portion, but His portion was eaten by His servants, just as the fat was burned as His portion.

Adam and Eve had other sons and daughters. They stayed together, Eve submitted to her husband and was only married, or basically had sex with, only Adam as Lord God commanded her in the Garden after she ate from the tree. Since we don't really see any mention of Adam or Eve sinning after the Fall in the Garden it should be assumed in tandem with their long lifespans that they did what God set, thus setting the universal norms. This is also correlated and referenced in the Gospels when Lord Jesus states the original intention and pure archetype of marriage is one man and one woman for life. It is also implicit in Eve's name which Adam gave to her which was to mean Mother of All Living, this implies Adam and Eve are the original couple, the original Patriarch and the original Matriarch. Though they were still mortal by this time they'd be something different in status than us as the original copies, the very first generation of humanity made directly by God rather than creations born out of creations as will become the norm starting with Eve and the occassion for which she was given her name. It is maybe boring or not as fun as trying to read into it too much, but the simple presentation of the canon and just the face value scriptures though just a few brief verses on Eve is the most sound, praise Jesus.

So..the servants or priests ate the meat?
Abel at the meat as well? From his sacrifice..?

I don't recall anything about 'submission' just that the curse was for Adam to work, and he was to rule over her, she would have pain in childbirth
It doesn't seem like they had a good life after that knowing they could die, and Abel being murdered.
Before, in the garden, yes, but after having been banished ...not really.

Maybe Cain ate the sacrifice instead. He had killed Abel by the time he could maybe get to it and cook it.

Who ate the fruit offering? Maybe it was just chucked away as God wasn't impressed with it.

Mother of all living, until the children left the nest and got married..? But maybe being continually pregnant took it's toll on Eve. I wonder just how many children she gave birth to.

Genesis 3:16, woman is cursed with painful childbirth. For a woman to be considered honorable and of high spiritual status she must desire only her husband and obey him, "he shall rule over thee". It should be assumed Eve followed this since after all she is recorded as having multiple children, her naming, and really her only sin though it is of course the infamous Original Sin, is really only because she was deceived by and submitted to Satan. Thus God's eternal edict upon woman, though the evil type women particularly rebel against the two points to their own hurt, is actually something of her safeguard. Eve won't be blamed for her daughters that are whores and feminists like Jezebel and Athaliah and 97% of tehe current modern generations, they'll just be eternally shamed and cast out to hellfire, but we will enter paradise and find high honor in Eve and she will find redemption for obeying God and being the vessel of the eventual Messiah, praise Jesus.

All I can add to this theological debate is that the Garden of Eden was not situated in Texas. Here it is BBQ and no vegetarian stuff.

I personally like to think that they ate meat back then. They must have done something with the lamb carcasses they raised. Could you imagine living hundreds of years without ever tasting a hamburger? I can't!

oh ok what with Lamech's two wives Adah and Zillah?
Something happened there which I'm not too sure about that ended up him needing protection from revenge I mean why did Lamech kill someone who hurt him. Jealousy? someone trying to steal his TWO wives?

I think it's way too hot and dry there to have much gardens.
Garden of Eden was in the fertile crescent, and had 4 rivers flowing around it. Plenty of fruit trees and all manner of edible plants.

I wouldn't worry about Lamech the son of Cain too much. With where he appears in the timeline, if he wasn't killed off before it, then he almost certainly perished in the Flood.
