I've talked with elderly people who say,theyrevglac they're old and will die soon. Because they don't want to see things get worse.

I see their point.
Animal cruelty laws still exist. Which means,there must be rules applied to kill an animal in the name of your religion.

Humans are biologically classified as animals.
Hmmmm.

Lucien ,their cofounder,has multiple aliases.
Last I heard they were going for the installation of a Baphomet statue on local government grounds in direct response to religious equality. The Ten Commandments has been reinstalled after the first display was valdalized.

They're a sick bunch.
One of their top people was supposedly fired for calling for the murder of people, when giving a speech that was live streamed.

They're atheists,but they worship the adversary of the God they insist doesn't exist.

As Jonnie W, a good comedian, observed, legality with animals is closely tied to cuteness.

Dogs and cats, they are just SOOOO cute! Let's all agree to keep them as pets and have lots of legal rules to make sure they are taken care of.

Cows, they're kinda cute... We can eat them, but let's call the meat "beef." Yeah, this is "beef" now. Deer meat is called "venison." Pig... Some people think pigs are cute. This is "pork" now. Yeah.

Chickens, they're not cute at all. Cut off their heads and call the meat "chicken." No need to pretend here.

Lobster? Ugh, looks like a bug. I WANT IT BOILED ALIVE!


He was right though. You can easily go to jail for mistreating a dog. Not so much for mistreating a shrimp.

On the other hand I do have to comment that God was the first one who killed animals, and that was just to make clothes for Adam and Eve. Sooooo... You'll have to take this up with Him.

Not at all.
God gave them animal skins to wear. That wasn't a religious ritual.

Animal sacrifice in the Bible is Old Testament.
Not New.

Neither did I claim there is valid reason for continued animal sacrifice according to the Bible.

All I said was, God is the first one to kill animals.

Where did you get all that other junk?

What do you mean enough miracles? We're talking about a Guy who's made trees that have fruit that just... activates certain things inside a person, like a video game powerup. He also made a whole woman from one rib, and there were also talking animals, all from the dust of the earth. Him materializing some leather clothes for Adam & Eve would just be a shoulder-shrug for everyone who was there.

We don't even know if it was a caveman leporad-skin or a nice tuxedo & pants He made for them. They were leather clothes made by the same Guy who made New Jerusalem. There's not a clam big enough to make the whole pearls its gates are made of.

Aye, but the whole point of the lesson in that particular story was, sin causes death.
 
But we did not break the world with sin until Eden.
 
But this is going rather far afield... The topic is the Supreme Court saying it's legal to sacrifice animals.

Thought 1: I bet if they were sacrificing dogs, the verdict would have been different.

Thought 2: According to the Bible there is no longer any reason to sacrifice animals.

Thought 3: If some people think we DO still need to sacrifice... I'm not going to holler about it. It's just an animal, not a human. We have already elevated cats and dogs to the point where in Italy you can take time off your job if your pet is sick. I think that's enough. We don't need to esteem animals higher than God made them.

To a reasonable extent. In the USA we have taken it far beyond that.

But only for the cute animals...

God esteemed animals higher than man when he accepted their sacrifical slaughter as payment to cover sins in the Old Testament.

Innocent sinless animals slaughtered because of our Sin. And their blood paid to the extent of covering those Sins.
Whole faith still saved us back then.

And the SCOTUS decision did not nullify animal cruelty laws.
