Hi,

I have had this question for a very long time. I was wondering if Christians were going to still be around during the start of the tribulation? Or are will we already have been raptured?

HI, your here at the moment. When tribulation comes, you'll go through it. When it is your time you'll be taken. Some will be chosen to stay behind to preach. But don't trouble yourself with that. If your foundations in Christ is strong, you'll be abe to overcome anything and face anything. With that I'm not saying it would be a walk in the park. But it would be easy. Seperate yorself from all sin. For it only leads to more pain and suffering and death. Build your personal relationship with God. Make an effort daily to grow in the Lord, than you'll be able to say as Paul. If I live, I live for Christ, and if I die I am with Christ.

Blessings to you

scotth1960:
Christians will go all of the tribulation. No pre-tribulation rapture. A resurrection of all of the dead, both Christian and non-Christian, after the tribulation, at the Second Coming of our LORD God and Saviour, Jesus Christ. It is better to use the term resurrection, rather than the non-biblical term "rapture", which is subject to misinterpretation, as it has more than one meaning.
God save us.

I think we will be raptured before the 7 years of tribulation... God always took care of people who loved Him, like Noah and also Lot....Also in Revelation in the first 3 capitals the church is mentiont 19 times, and then from Rev 4 till 19 no more...
But if we are or if we are not, more important is that we are prepared for the coming of Jesus : ) Are you??

what 7 years?
where does that figure come from?

Also in Revelation in the first 3 capitals the church is mentiont 19 times, and then from Rev 4 till 19 no more.
who are these people?

Revelation 13:7
And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations.

Revelation 13:10
He that leadeth into captivity shall go into captivity: he that killeth with the sword must be killed with the sword. Here is the patience and the faith of the saints.

Revelation 14:12
Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.

Revelation 16:15
Behold, I come as a thief. Blessed is he that watcheth, and keepeth his garments, lest he walk naked, and they see his shame.

Revelation 17:6
And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus: and when I saw her, I wondered with great admiration.

Revelation 20:9
And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them.

Zone, The sacrament of the Lord's death on the Cross, the Eucharist, will be in the Church until the end of time. Scripture says in it "ye do show forth the Lord's death, till He come". I'm not sure if that's the exact quote; I'm quoting from memory, not from reading it in the Bible. God bless all of you. In Erie Scott

Zone,

The tribulation consists of seven years. It is broken up into two parts each consisting of three and a half years. The first three and a half years are the beginning of the tribulation and the last three and a half years are the great tribulation.

Dear jdarling, Where in the NT does it say "the tribulation consists of seven years"? Scott

Dear ib4gzus:
The Bible does not use the word "personal" regarding Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour. In Erie Scott

1 Thessalonians 5:9-10
For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ,
Who died for us, that, whether we wake or sleep, we should live together with him.

If you know Jesus as your personal savior you will NOT go through the Tribulation Period.

Revelation 3:10
Because thou hast kept the word of my patience I will also keep thee from the hour
of temptation which shall come upon the whole world to try them that dwell upon the earth.

First of all Revelation chapters 1-3
are speaking to the churches which were in Asia
but this is also time periods down through the church history.

What is the HOUR OF TEMPTATION?
it is the TRIBULATION PERIOD.
This will be a time like never before and never again.
Christians are promised in this verse they will be "kept from that hour"
we will be raptured before the Tribulation Begins.

But is there any more evidence that the church will not have to go through The Tribulation Period?
Chapter 4,5 deals with the Rapture of the Church

Here is more evidence:
Revelation chapters 6-19
THIS IS THE TRIBULATION PERIOD
(the church is never menchioned until the end of the Tribulation Period )
Revelation 19:11-
At the Second Coming Of Christ, we are riding on white horses behind the King Of Kings.

I wonder if, since the "blood of the saints" is mentioned and there are most definitely martyrs in Revelation, the hour of trial or temptation is something different than the suffering of the saints? The NIV reads "the hour of trial".

This goes on and on and on! Really, does it matter? What matters is this. Are you ready when Jesus calls you, whether in a rapture, or death? Do you know Him? Are you ready to not only meet Him, but to possibly suffer for Him? He suffered so much for me, what is a little tribulation if He so chooses? Just sayin:) God Bless:)

Yes, but Jesus tells us to pray that we can miss tribulation:

Luke 21:36
Watch therefore, and pray always that you may be counted worthy to escape all these things that will come to pass, and to stand before the Son of Man.”

Let's get ready for a big..OH DUH moment...

Speaking to the disciples, he says..when YOU SEE the abomination of desolation standing in the holy place.....and he says to his disciples...if anyone says to YOU behold there is Christ, don't believe him....

Now if Christians are to be raptured out of the tribulation, why would Jesus say to HIS disciples, when YOU see and when YOU hear?

If Christians are raptured out, they would have nothing to see or hear!

Some may say, well Jesus means if you see this while i heaven..Well how could someone in heaven be deceived about a false Christ? Jesus is warning them not to be deceived, how can they be deceived while in heaven?

He's not speaking to a large crowd of believers and non believers. This is just Jesus and the disciples here. And he saying YOU YOU YOU.

Matthew 24
3 As He was sitting on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to Him privately, saying, “Tell us, when will these things happen, and what will be the sign of Your coming, and of the end of the age?”

15 “Therefore when you see the ABOMINATION OF DESOLATION which was spoken of through Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place (let the reader understand), 16 then those who are in Judea must flee to the mountains. 17 [h]Whoever is on the housetop must not go down to get the things out that are in his house. 18 Whoever is in the field must not turn back to get his cloak. 19 But woe to those who are pregnant and to those who are nursing babies in those days! 20 But pray that your flight will not be in the winter, or on a Sabbath. 21 For then there will be a great tribulation, such as has not occurred since the beginning of the world until now, nor ever will. 22 Unless those days had been cut short, no [j]life would have been saved; but for the sake of the [k]elect those days will be cut short. 23 Then if anyone says to you, ‘Behold, here is the [l]Christ,’ or ‘[m]There He is,’ do not believe him. 24 For false Christs and false prophets will arise and will [n]show great [o]signs and wonders, so as to mislead, if possible, even the [p]elect. 25 Behold, I have told you in advance. 26 So if they say to you, ‘Behold, He is in the wilderness,’ do not go out, or, ‘Behold, He is in the inner rooms,’ do not believe them. 27 For just as the lightning comes from the east and flashes even to the west, so will the coming of the Son of Man be. 28 Wherever the corpse is, there the [q]vultures will gather.
