I agree.
My comment was to Delvianna, who seems to think the Mosaic Law is still in effect.
The laws of God,given to Moses by God,not originating from the mind of Moses, includes the Moral Law.

Those would be the Ten Commandments.

It says a lot about someone who insists Moral laws,Morality,no longer applies to Christians.

It also tells readers those who think like that ignore Jesus.

Who told the world, not one jot not tittle shall disappear from the law (of God) until all is accomplished.
All,has not yet been accomplished.

So,go ahead,lie,steal,murder,
commit adultery, worship other god's, disrespect your parents, ignore the Sabbath and worship on Saturnalias day instead.

After what you just observed about the ot law?

All of it as read the Book of Hebrews where we are told the Lord did away with the OT law in order to establish a New Covenant which resulted in the Law of Christ which is what we live under now.

The people that try to live under the old covenant are fallen from grace and they make Jesus is of no effect where their lives are concerned.
You should study the Bible before you think to enter here and Troll those who do.

You said "All commandments are meant to be followed. ALL of them" so it was a fair question.

Hebrews 10:9 - Then said he, Lo, I come to do thy will, O God. He taketh away the first, that he may establish the second.
God said He would make a New Covenant - see Jeremiah 31:31-34

Hebrews 8:6 - But now hath Jesus obtained a more excellent ministry, by how much also Jesus is the mediator of a better covenant, which was established upon better promises.

And with the changing of the priesthood, God’s Word tells us there is also a change of the law.

Hebrews 7:12 - For the priesthood being changed, there is made of necessity a change also of the law.

You are aware that there is a New Covenant now right?

Who is your High Priest? Moses, or Jesus?

Gotta pick one or the other. Can't have both.

No Christians are not called to follow the law of Moses.

In the New Testament, many mentions of “the law” is actually referring to Law of Christ (aka the Law of Liberty) and is not talking about the old testament law. Christians are NOT called to keep or live under the old testament law, but we ARE called to live under the Law of Christ.

Ultimately this means we are called to abide In Christ which is living after the Spirit and not after the flesh, or to be spiritually minded and not carnally minded (see Romans 8). As we see in Romans 8, to be spiritually minded is life and peace but to be carnally minded is death which is separation from the Lord.
I will refer you to post 276

That's what the devil is telling many.

The smart ones ignore the devil and accept God's Word, like all of it!
Agreed. But my comment was made towards someone who is actively saying parts of scripture are wrong.

You been sacrificing animals for your sin?

You been killing people with rocks when they commit sin?

These were commandments of God so you're following them right?
First 1, Hebrews says sacrifices never took away sins. So no, no one in the history of sacrifices was doing that.
2nd, those are laws concerning how Israel was to be governed as God was King. Don't confuse moral law with civil.
3rd, All the ones that are applicable, yes, I am following. If there was a Temple where God dwelled, I would be giving offerings just as we are called to do. Offerings will return. Ezekiel 40-48 shows that in the vision he saw with the new temple that has currently, never been built.

I will refer you to post 276

And still, No Christians are not called to follow the law of Moses.

parts of scripture are wrong.

Parts of scripture are no longer in effect, such as the law of Moses.

It always amazes me that people keep trying to follow Moses instead of Jesus

First 1, Hebrews says sacrifices never took away sins. So no, no one in the history of sacrifices was doing that.

Yes, but the blood of animals cover their sin for a time and since you said "All commandments are meant to be followed. ALL of them" the people want to know if you are actually following all commandments as you prescribe

All the ones that are applicable, yes, I am following.

Nice back peddling

If there was a Temple where God dwelled

In the New Covenant there actually is a temple where God dwells.

How are you not aware of this?

Its not back peddling. It's acknowledging there are two different laws in the old testament. The 1 people refer to following is the moral law and not in reference to the civil. Even the Orthodox Jews recognize that.

And yes, God dwells in us, but doesn't he literally dwell in His temple in Israel during the millennial reign? Being in us doesn't negate that.

It's acknowledging there are two different laws in the old testament.

You previously said "All commandments are meant to be followed. ALL of them" and now you are still focused on the old testament laws.

Let me know when you get to acknowledging the Law of Christ taught in the New Covenant.

Yes the moral laws of God are on both covenants but you weren't talking about the moral laws when you said "All commandments are meant to be followed. ALL of them"

That would be claiming Christians are required to follow every command God ever gave even in the old covenant which has been taken away by Jesus so He could establish the New Covenant.

The Galatians thought they should go back and live under the old covenant too and the Lord said thru Paul that they are fallen from grace.

We cannot have one foot in the old covenant and another in the New Covenant seeing trhe old covenant has been taken away from Jesus -

Hebrews 10:9 - Then said he, Lo, I come to do thy will, O God. He taketh away the first, that he may establish the second.

Hebrews 8:6 - But now hath Jesus obtained a more excellent ministry, by how much also Jesus is the mediator of a better covenant, which was established upon better promises.

I have several times acknowledged the NT. It just seems like you want to hear what you want to hear from what I'm saying instead of what I'm actually saying. I've clarified twice now with you that I'm referencing the moral laws and I'm separating moral vs civil. So ALL moral laws. I don't know how else to say it. So if you want to keep throwing on civil which is what I'm NOT saying and act like I am, that's a you problem.

Jesus said he didn't abolish the law. If you want to do away with the old testament and act like they don't apply, that's abolishment.
Definition: The formal cancellation or termination of something established, such as a law, custom, or rule.

Are you going to recognize that you're doing something Christ said he wasn't doing?

Do you believe the Book of Hebrews contains lies?

Did you delete these passages from your Bible so you no longer acknowledge them or something?

Hebrews 10:9 - Then said he, Lo, I come to do thy will, O God. He taketh away the first, that he may establish the second.

Notice in Hebrews 10:9 that it's Jesus saying He came to do the Father's will and take away the old covenant and establish the New Covenant.

Do you think Jesus is lying here or what?

I don't think Jesus is lying which is why I'm putting what He said above what you say. Sorry.

Back to the question for you - are you really living under the old testament law?

You know if you don't keep the entire law you are doomed right?

Why not come over to the New Covenant and abide in Christ instead and stop trying to abide in Moses trying to keep those 600+ laws under the old covenant?

You're taking those verses out of context to try and fit a narrative. Let's start with Hebrews 10:

In order to sacrifice, people had to go through ritual cleansing. That is even repeated in verse 1 that says they had to make their approach "perfect". Verse 4 says that any animal sacrifices didn't have the ability to take away sins. So you can't argue that changing from sacrifices to Christ is an atonement change when sacrifices NEVER took away sins. Verse 3 literally says the sacrifices are a reminder. Then verse 9 is talking about sanctification, the topic that started in verse 1 where people were already "purified" but it makes an analogy of how Christ was a sacrifice for us once and for all. It's an analogy, not a LITERAL alteration. Christ was ALWAYS the means for sanctification. Hence why sins were never sanctified through sacrifice. It's phrased in a way so people understand what Christ was doing. It was a comparison, not a literal transfer.

Now chapter 8. Another comparison as Christ is our High Priest. But this isn't a law change. It's talking about the problem with the people that the covenant was made with, not the covenant itself. Because what does verses 8-9 say?
Because finding fault with them, He says: “Behold, the days are coming, says the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah— 9 not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; because they did not continue in My covenant, and I disregarded them, says the Lord.
So what is the new covenant? It's taking the old one, and doing what with it?

For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, says the Lord: I will put My laws in their mind and write them on their hearts; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people.
It's the same law, the same rules, the same commands... but written on their hearts. Not something completely new while the other is discarded. THAT is the change chapter 7 is referring to. Again, I ask you.. why are you abolishing something Christ said isn't abolished? Why are you ignoring parts of Hebrews and altering other verses context?

Now by this we know that we know Him, if we keep His commandments. He who says, “I know Him,” and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. - 1 John 2: 3-4
Do you keep His commands (which are the law, because to keep the laws were commands), and are they written on your heart like the new covenant is supposed to be?

All commandments are meant to be followed. ALL of them.

Christ said:
  • John 14:15 — “If you love Me, keep My commandments.”
  • John 14:21 — “He who has My commandments and keeps them, it is he who loves Me.”
  • John 15:10 — “If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love, just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and abide in His love.”
  • Luke 6:46 — “But why do you call Me ‘Lord, Lord,’ and not do the things which I say?”
  • Matthew 7:21 — “Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven.”
  • Matthew 28:20 — “Teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you.”
  • John 15:14 — “You are My friends if you do whatever I command you.”

The law doesn't suddenly get ignored just because Christ died. Specially when Christ consistently pointed back to the law over a dozen times and quoted it. Even Christ himself says he didn't come to "Abolish" the law (Matthew 5:17-19). So if Christ didn't come to do away with the law, why are you trying to?
So you are saying that circumcision, dietary rules and feast keeping are necessary for salvation.
I cannot agree.
Jesus fulfilled the Law.
It is over.

The commandments of Jesus, that you so kindly supplied, are love God with all your heart, mind, soul, and strength...and love your neighbor as yourself.
The truly repentant are able to do that without flaw...thanks to rebirth, the gift of the Holy Ghost, and other aids.

Yup.

I agree, but expanding on that would necessitate a new thread.
It also tells readers those who think like that ignore Jesus.
I can't relate to the minds of the unGodly.
Who told the world, not one jot not tittle shall disappear from the law (of God) until all is accomplished.
Jesus daid that.
All,has not yet been accomplished.
What has yet to be accomplished, that Jesus hasn't already fulfilled ?
So,go ahead,lie,steal,murder,
commit adultery, worship other god's, disrespect your parents, ignore the Sabbath and worship on Saturnalias day instead.
Not a chance, as I have been provided a rebirth from my Father's seed, and can no longer bring forth the fruit of Adam's seed.
You too, I hope.

What has yet to be accomplished, that Jesus hasn't already fulfilled ?
The Global Proclamation of the Gospel:
Jesus noted that the end would not come until the message of the kingdom is preached to all nations as a testimony (Matthew 24:14).The Full Harvest of the Church: The gathering of the "fullness of the Gentiles" and the ultimate realization of the body of Christ (Romans 11:25).

The Second Coming of Christ:
The physical, triumphant return of Jesus to earth to defeat evil, execute judgment, and establish His physical kingdom (Revelation 19).The Final Judgment: The Great White Throne Judgment, where Satan, death, and Hades are thrown into the lake of fire, permanently separating good from evil (Revelation 20).

The Destruction and Renewal of Creation: The passing away of the current, fallen universe. In Revelation 21:1-6, a voice from the throne echoes Jesus’ words on the cross, declaring "It is done!"—but this time, it is spoken after the creation of a New Heaven and a New Earth, where sin, sorrow, and death no longer exist.

So you are saying that circumcision, dietary rules and feast keeping are necessary for salvation.
I cannot agree.

By your own actions, you're taking "fulfilled" and altering it into abolishment. They are not the same thing. Fulfilled keeps the law present, but the requirements of the law complete. Abolishment says the law is no longer in effect.

I think I mentioned this earlier in another post but I can't be bothered to try and find it, so I'll just repeat it here. It goes back to the covenant made with Abraham. There are carcasses of animals on either side of a walkway. The symbolism is, if the covenant was broken, who broke it has to die. In this case, it has to be man. This is why God came to sacrifice His life, to fulfill that requirement of death, thus fulfilling the law that the requirement of sin = death. This is why a NEW covenant was born and also why Jesus said he came to save the Jews, because as the verses I quoted in Hebrews above, THEY broke it. Jesus as man, fulfilled the law that was broken because GOD walked both sets when He put Abraham to sleep.

Again, that's not doing away with the law. Your argument is literally abolishment which Christ said he wasn't doing. So you can choose not to believe it, but you're disregarding scripture in Hebrews and other places to do so.

You're taking those verses out of context to try and fit a narrative

False. The plain reading of scripture teaches there was an old covenant and then when Jesus came He started the New Covenant.

So what is the new covenant?

People who don't accept the plain reading of scripture wouldn't know.

It's the same law, the same rules, the same commands...

Really, so you all for killing people that sin with rocks are ya?

Do you keep His commands

No, I'm not going around killing people that sin with rocks as you apparently advocate for since you claim Christians are supposed to be living under the law of Moses.

You advocate following the old covenant so I fully expect to hear about you in the news when you come across someone who commits a sin and you keep throwing rocks at them until they die and you get arrested for murder.

Okay, I'm going to say this, I think is now a 4th time.... CIVIL LAW IS NOT MORAL LAW.

With that, I'm backing out of replying to you since you continually fail to recognize that and you keep bringing it up as if I'm including it and I'm not. And I've corrected it enough...

And let's no forget this person must advocate for for killing people that sin with rocks claiming Christians are supposed to be living under the law of Moses.

Who's want to be around people like this?
 Boggles my mind how people like you just ignore what someone says when they've clarified their stance multiple times and then act as if they said nothing and then act as though I'm the problem... unreal.
