Agree 100% with Lynx. Well said about Dino and his intents.
Is this guy like the pope around here or something?
Ya'll not preying to this guy or "venerating" him like the catholics do with Mary are you?
Seems some have this guy up on a pedestal

Too many Christians drift along in life, get caught in sin patterns, and wind up doing little for the Kingdom of God.
Some wise thoughts here: one thing I would like to add to (comment on) is the thought that "the natural result is that you become obedient to God and able to resist sin . . ." While this may be true to some extent, I think one needs to be careful that it is not taken too far . . . Yes, when we become a believer we are a new creature immediately and the Holy Spirit lives in us and helps us to live above sin! At the same time, it takes effort, and actually a lot of effort, and hard work to be obedient and to live above sin. Christ did so much more an said so much more, some people limit themselves to paul's epistles and that is a mistake. The Gospel, Is simply the "GOOD NEWS" of JESUS paying our debt as opposed to a system of LAWS, ORDINANCES, etc....by HIS ultimate sacrifice and payment in full..at the cross.....
I trust what your thread implies, is that what and old church I attended used to say " A GOSPEL THAT HASN'T CHANGED YOU, HASN'T SAVED YOU"
but, if your intent is to burden believers with some sort of adherence to old testament rule keeping then I would strongly disagree...
the Olivet Discourse, Mat. 24, says that at the time of the end, MOST PEOPLE WILL FALL AWAY... I would suggest we are nearing that very time frame.
THE BATTLE RAGES TIL THE LION SOON ROARS!!!!

I disagree with you about Dino. You escalate it to me worshipping Dino.
You are weird. Like, really weird. But that's cool. We get a lot of weird around here.
And I'm not a big fan of anybody who so hastily and blatantly slams anybody who disagrees with him.I'm not the one putting men up on a pedestal as though they are like God.
I experienced that sort of thing as a young believer when I attended a church for a few years where they literally idolized the pastors as though what they said was on the level of scripture. When people had problems they would make an appointment with the pastors for guidance in their lives rather than allowing the Lord to lead and guide them based in scripture.
Then as I grew in studying God's Word for myself I found out these people were heavily influenced by reformed theology even as they claimed to not have anything to do with reformed theology. These were heretics who did not accept much of what the Lord teaches in His Word.
Yeah so I'm not a big fan of the "oh my this person is so wonderful, you just don't know how wonderful this person really is, they are great!" sorta thing as it's one off satan's tricks to deceive people.
