I may be wrong, but to my understanding those who stand before Christ's judgement seat are those who are His, for rewards or lost rewards, and all others will stand before God's White Throne judgement seat who were not found written in the book of life.

In Revelation 3:5 Jesus says: "He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life; but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels."

Some that got saved and were in the book of life end up having their names blotted out.

Matthew 13:41,42 - The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity; And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.

How are they explaining these passages away these days?

They have to find a way to play like the Lord did not say these things if they are going to claim Christians can never lose their salvation right? Think they'll create some sort of diversion or something?

Through faith in Jesus Christ and the work of the Holy Spirit at salvation.

Acts 15:7 - And when there had been much dispute, Peter rose up and said to them: “Men and brethren, you know that a good while ago God chose among us, that by my mouth the Gentiles should hear the word of the gospel and believe. 8 So God, who knows the heart, acknowledged them by giving them the Holy Spirit, just as He did to us, 9 and made no distinction between us and them, purifying their hearts by faith.

Ephesians 1:13 - In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, who is the guarantee of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, to the praise of His glory.

1 Corinthians 12:13 - For by one Spirit we were all baptized into one body—whether Jews or Greeks, whether slaves or free—and have all been made to drink into one Spirit.
The words “in Christ” and similar, i.e.; “in Jesus Christ”, “in Christ Jesus”, “in him’, are used ad nauseam within the Christian world with hardly anyone ever giving any thought whatsoever as to what the words really mean or entail, thus relegating them to nothing more than Christian “buzz words” that sound good and Christian-like. So what do these words really mean? What does it mean to be “in Christ” and how does one get “in Christ” or into Christ? Is there a specific way stated in the bible? Are there unique benefits for being “in Christ” once one has achieved that state of being “in him”? Are there benefits available to those not being “in Christ”? Can you receive spiritual blessings without being “in Christ”? These are logical questions that should be asked or considered when one sees or uses these or similar words inferring the same.

There are 146 references in the New Testament (may not be all inclusive, but close if not) using these exact or similar words as those mentioned above. If mentioned that frequently and to that extent, it must be of great importance, so likewise, all should render like importance to these words when using them, clearly understanding what they truly mean and entail.

Consider the suffix “ian” attached to the word “Christ” to become the word Christian; what does "ian" attached to the end a word mean or indicate? One of its meanings is 'from or belonging to'. As it pertains to Christ, it indicates that a Christian is from or belonging to, or in other words, owned by Christ!
It should be noted too that the word “Christian” doesn’t mean a believer in or follower of Christ, but rather really means owned by Christ. So, you could be a believer in and follower of Jesus, practice some form of “Christian” religious worship, be devout, moral, etc. etc, but not be owned by Him, not “in him”.
Note that the bible says the following:
1 Cor 6:20 "For ye are bought with a price:"
Acts 20:28 “Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood."

The above clearly states that Christ purchased or bought the church with His own blood, so it's clear that Christians, those owned by Christ, those that are part of his body (the church), have been bought and paid for by his blood which was the price he paid for them who are now “in him”. Therefore, those that are “in” the church are His, and are “in him”.

What are some of the benefits that being owned by or “in Christ” bestowed upon you that are unable to be conferred in any other way according to scripture?

· Be saved, receive redemption, have your sins remitted and added to the Lord’s body which is the church
· Be buried/planted with Him in the likeness of his death thus enabling like resurrection
· Put on Christ and become a Christian and child of God
· Receive the Holy Spirit, spiritual gifts, blessings, have hope, and be made alive in Him

So, how do you become owned by, “in Christ”, and part of the church? The fact of the matter is, there is one specific way mentioned in the bible as to what one must do to be “in Christ” as well as benefits for being “in him” that can only be realized thereby: by baptism.

Rom 6:3 “Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death”?

Gal 3:26/27 “For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ”.
1st Cor 12:13 “For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.
Rom 6:4 “Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life”.
Col 2:12Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead”.
Rom 6:5 “For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection”:
Acts 2:38 “Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost”. 41 “Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls”. 47 “Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.”
· Christ’s body is the church of which He is the head (Col 1:18, Eph 5:23);
· You become part of the church by becoming a part of His body. You become part of His body by being baptized into it.
· In it (His body, the church), you obtain spiritual blessings (Eph 1:3).
· Are you really a Christian without being part of His body, the church, which you are added to upon being baptized (Acts 2:41, 47)?
· If you’re not buried with Him through baptism, can you then still be raised with Him?

You confuse Spirit baptism with water baptism: Spirit baptism is the reality and water baptism is the picture of the reality.

To sum it up: A symbol is not the reality but is a picture of the reality. 👀

"Baptized into Christ" does not mean water baptized into the body of Christ. That is only accomplished through Spirit baptism. (1 Corinthians 12:13) Now in what "sense" would a believer be "water baptized into Christ?" In the same "sense" that the Israelites were "baptized into Moses.." (1 Corinthians 10:2) The Israelites were not literally water baptized into the body of Moses and there is little dispute that being "baptized into Moses" signified the open allegiance and public identification of the Israelites with Moses as their leader. Moses was formally recognized as the leader of the covenant people. Water baptism signifies our allegiance and public identification with Christ as our Savior, so it would only be in that sense.

Because they think they have authoritative understanding of Scripture without an my evidence for it.

Jesus declares he will build his church on the rock that is Peter. He tells Peter, "I will give you the keys to the kingdom of heaven. Whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven and whatever you loosed on earth shall be loosed in heaven." Matt 16:19.

It's tiring talking to people who just refuse to see what's plainly written.
You should check out the actual Greek. Lord Jesus was being amusing. The name Peter is "Petros", which is a stone or pebble. The Rock is "Petra", which means a large rock. According to Paul and Peter, the Rock is Christ.

Peter had no more apostolic authority than any other apostle. There is no evidence that he even visited Rome, let alone headed up the church there.

Catholicism is a worldly organisation. It has its own government, currency, passport, diplomatic corps and military. Lord Jesus said that His kingdom is not of this world. Catholicism is an organisation, not the church.

I don't confuse anything. I have it understood 100%. There is no Spirit baptism today, which believing contrary as you and others do, takes you down a path of misunderstanding and misapplication of scripture. There are no spiritual gifts today. The baptism recorded on Acts 2 and Acts 10 were of one time events both serving very unique purposes. Acts2 it happened to the 11 apostles as promised by Christ to them in Luke 24:49. They were told to tarry in Jerusalem for receipt of the power from on high. That power was manifested as recorded in Acts 2whuch resulted in them speaking in other tongues, ultimately converting tge Jews on the day of Pentecost which started the church 1st amongst the Jews as prophesied. Acts 2:47 tells you that the Lord added to the body those that received the word and were baptized into him, about 3000. With the power from on high, the apostles were then able to cause the manifestation of the spirit and various gifts by the laying on of THEIR hands.

The falling of the spirit (baptism of the spirit) again happened again to Cornelius and his upon whom the Spirit fell unilaterally as a sign that it was the will of God that the Gentiles were also to be included, also as per prophesy, them following after the Jews. That was only a sign from God. They still were physically baptised into the body of Christ immediately thereafter. Being baptized, immersed on water is and was still necessary to become part of the body of Christ which is quite obvious as to why it also was done. No other instances of baptism of the spirit are recorded, and only then gifts of the spirit were prominent enabled by the laying on of the apostles hands.

Just 2 instances of Spirit baptism in scripture, resulting in the establishment of the church with the Jews 1st followed by the Gentiles.

You should read a book called Joy Unspeakable by Martyn Lloyd Jones. The baptism of the Spirit is sorely lacking in the church today. It is one of the reasons the church is so impotent and isn't having the impact it could in our time.

Your argument collapses at the point where you claim there were “only two Spirit baptisms,” because Scripture explicitly says there is one Spirit baptism for all believers (1 Cor 12:13),
that the Spirit is given to every believer (Rom 8:9),
that spiritual gifts continue until the coming of Christ (1 Cor 1:7–8), and
that the Spirit is poured out on all flesh in the last days (Acts 2:17–18),
not only on apostles or Cornelius;
Acts 2 and Acts 10 are historical inaugurations, not the totality of Spirit baptism, and the NT repeatedly shows believers receiving the Spirit apart from apostolic hands (Acts 2:38; Gal 3:2; Eph 1:13), meaning your “apostles only” transmission model contradicts Paul’s teaching that gifts are distributed directly by the Spirit (1 Cor 12:11); water baptism never replaces Spirit baptism because Paul says salvation is by the washing of regeneration and renewal of the Holy Spirit (Titus 3:5), not by water, and your claim that gifts ceased when apostles died is refuted by Paul’s statement that gifts remain until the revealing of Christ (1 Cor 1:7), not until the end of the apostolic era; the NT nowhere teaches “two Spirit baptisms only,” nowhere teaches “no gifts today,” and nowhere teaches “Spirit baptism ended with Cornelius”—those are later theological constructions, not Scripture.

You certainly are confused as you continue to conflate Spirit baptism and water baptism and you also seem to conflate receiving the gift of the Holy Spirit with receiving spiritual gifts. Not all believers speak in tongues (1 Corinthians 12:30) and not all believers had hands laid on them either, prior to receiving the Holy Spirit, which was for a specific reason and purpose (exception, not the rule in Acts 2 and Acts 10).

Now compare the fact that these Gentiles in Acts 10:45 received the gift of the Holy Spirit (compare with Acts 2:38 - the gift of the Holy Spirit) and this was BEFORE water baptism. (Acts 10:47)

In Acts 10:43 we read ..whoever believes in Him receives remission of sins. Again, these Gentiles received the gift of the Holy Spirit -Acts 10:45 - when they believed on the Lord Jesus Christ - Acts 11:17 - (compare with Acts 16:31 - Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved) BEFORE water baptism - Acts 10:47. This is referred to as repentance unto life - Acts 11:18.

*So, the only logical conclusion when properly harmonizing scripture with scripture is that faith in Jesus Christ "implied in genuine repentance" (rather than water baptism) brings the remission of sins and the gift of the Holy Spirit (Luke 24:47; Acts 2:38; 3:19; 5:31; 10:43-47; 11:17,18; 13:38-39; 15:7-9; 16:31; 26:18). *Perfect Harmony*

In regard to the Lord adding to the body after receiving the word, through repentance/faith in Acts 2:47, what happened to baptism in Acts 4:4 and Acts 5:14?

Acts 4:4 - However, many of those who heard the word believed; and the number of the men came to be about five thousand.
Acts 5:14 - And believers were increasingly added to the Lord, multitudes of both men and women.
Spirit baptism is not merely limited to receiving spiritual gifts, but you need to believe that in order to "get around" the fact that these Gentiles, believed, received the gift of the Holy Spirit and spoke in tongues (spiritual gift that is ONLY for the body of Christ - 1 Corinthians 12) and were saved BEFORE water baptism. (Acts 10:43-47) This does not change the fact that these believers received the gift of the Holy Spirit based on repentance/faith and not water baptism. ALL believers are baptized by one Spirit into one body.. (1 Corinthians 12:13)
Being baptized, immersed on water is and was still necessary to become part of the body of Christ which is quite obvious as to why it also was done.
False. Acts 10:43-47 destroys your argument.
No other instances of baptism of the spirit are recorded, and only then gifts of the spirit were prominent enabled by the laying on of the apostles hands.

Just 2 instances of Spirit baptism in scripture, resulting in the establishment of the church with the Jews 1st followed by the Gentiles.
Again, you are confusing Spirit baptism in which ALL believers are baptized by one Spirit into one body with receiving spiritual gifts. You are forced to embrace your confusion in order to "get around" Acts 10:43-47 and uphold your biased church doctrine. There is still time for you to repent and believe on the Lord Jesus Christ. (Acts 11:17,18; 16:31)

That's what the devil keeps trying to tell everybody

Those that actually believe the Word of God know the devil be lying as usual.

It's what he does so the gullible need to quit listening to that rat!
Just read and understand the scriptures. Most people don't know how to do that and end up misapplying scripture cuz they think it means what it doesn't or that everything applies to us today. It doesn't.

Actually, that's not accurate. It occurred throughout the book of Acts. Get the book. See that it's possible. And ask God for the experience. Will change your life.

It is accurate. It happened twice as recorded in Acts 2 and 10. Don't confuse gifts of the spirit with baptism by the spirit.

It gets very confusing with all the different religions and claims that this or that belief or ideas from various movements that they have the path that leads to God, so is it. When you hear a religious leader or teacher claim that all religions lead on a path to God, scripture is clear that is not the case. We find it in John 14...

John 14:6
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

Jesus declares that the only way to God is through Him.

John Chapter 14:6 From the Greek is an imperative.
Jesus is not saying he is a way among many ways, He is the hodos ; the only Way. He is the only truth, the Aletheia and he is the only life, Zoe. No one can use any other to go to the Father But by Jesus.

Actually according to people's faith it will be done unto them.

Those that believes what the devil claims about there being no infilling of the Holy Spirit need not concern themselves with getting Spirit filled as their unbelief stops the Lord from blessing therm in this way.

Yeah but in order to be accepted by the popular kids one must accept the ecumenical movement that falsely claims all religions lead to the Lord and all religious beliefs results in member of all religions being saved in the end.

The devil really does a number on people to crave acceptance and attention as they'll throw the Word of God out and believe whatever they are told to believe just so they can be accepted and not get kicked out of the religious social club
