It is accurate. It happened twice as recorded in Acts 2 and 10. Don't confuse gifts of the spirit with baptism by the spirit.
I'm not. You obviously haven't experienced it. That doesn't mean it isn't still occurring. Since you don't believe it, you cannot receive it in faith. I'll keep you in prayer.

Actually according to people's faith it will be done unto them.

Those that believes what the devil claims about there being no infilling of the Holy Spirit need not concern themselves with getting Spirit filled as their unbelief stops the Lord from blessing therm in this way.

Yeah but in order to be accepted by the popular kids one must accept the ecumenical movement that falsely claims all religions lead to the Lord and all religious beliefs results in member of all religions being saved in the end.

The devil really does a number on people to crave acceptance and attention as they'll throw the Word of God out and believe whatever they are told to believe just so they can be accepted and not get kicked out of the religious social club
I agree with what you said concerning faith, but the baptism with the Spirit is not the same as the indwelling Spirit.

None the less, unbelief will prevent the Lord from moving in a person's life since He would have to force Himself on them to do so.

No. I can teach you how to pray if you like.

I'll pray as the Lord teaches in His Word.

Prayers that seek to force someone to believe something they've already decided to not believe are not answer by the Lord.

He's not a tyrant so He's not forcing Himself in to peoples lives

When you pray, do you ask for your will or God's will?

Did the Lord ask you if you wanted to be born?

Why yes, we sat and had a cup of Heavenly tea and talked it over and I agreed to come on down to help the slow ones see the light.

When you pray, do you ask for your will or God's will?

I abide in Christ having died to self so I have no will of my own so I walk in His will.
You should try it sometime!

So God is deciding everything? It is His power you are under? Sounds like it is His force that is moving you. And it sounds like you believe that is best. Awesome.

Some things the Lord leaves up to us and the smart ones wait on the Lord to get His input before making a decision

Remember we are co-laborers with God not robots
1 Corinthians 3:9 states, we are labourers together with God
Nope. If you are always walking in the Spirit, as you say, then the Spirit is making all the decisions.

I don't understand your point .

In Revelation 3:5 Jesus says: "He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life; but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels."

Some that got saved and were in the book of life end up having their names blotted out.

Matthew 13:41,42 - The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity; And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth.

How are they explaining these passages away these days?

They have to find a way to play like the Lord did not say these things if they are going to claim Christians can never lose their salvation right? Think they'll create some sort of diversion or something?
I believe that the passage in Rev. 3:5 occurs before appearing at the judgement seat of Christ. I'm with you, there is no OSAS.

The words “in Christ” and similar, i.e.; “in Jesus Christ”, “in Christ Jesus”, “in him’, are used ad nauseam within the Christian world with hardly anyone ever giving any thought whatsoever as to what the words really mean or entail, thus relegating them to nothing more than Christian “buzz words” that sound good and Christian-like. So what do these words really mean? What does it mean to be “in Christ” and how does one get “in Christ” or into Christ? Is there a specific way stated in the bible? Are there unique benefits for being “in Christ” once one has achieved that state of being “in him”? Are there benefits available to those not being “in Christ”? Can you receive spiritual blessings without being “in Christ”? These are logical questions that should be asked or considered when one sees or uses these or similar words inferring the same.

There are 146 references in the New Testament (may not be all inclusive, but close if not) using these exact or similar words as those mentioned above. If mentioned that frequently and to that extent, it must be of great importance, so likewise, all should render like importance to these words when using them, clearly understanding what they truly mean and entail.

Consider the suffix “ian” attached to the word “Christ” to become the word Christian; what does "ian" attached to the end a word mean or indicate? One of its meanings is 'from or belonging to'. As it pertains to Christ, it indicates that a Christian is from or belonging to, or in other words, owned by Christ! It should be noted too that the word “Christian” doesn’t mean a believer in or follower of Christ, but rather really means owned by Christ. So, you could be a believer in and follower of Jesus, practice some form of “Christian” religious worship, be devout, moral, etc. etc, but not be owned by Him, not “in him”.
Note that the bible says the following:
1 Cor 6:20 "For ye are bought with a price:"
Acts 20:28 “Take heed therefore unto yourselves, and to all the flock, over the which the Holy Ghost hath made you overseers, to feed the church of God, which he hath purchased with his own blood."

The above clearly states that Christ purchased or bought the church with His own blood, so it's clear that Christians, those owned by Christ, those that are part of his body (the church), have been bought and paid for by his blood which was the price he paid for them who are now “in him”. Therefore, those that are “in” the church are His, and are “in him”.

What are some of the benefits that being owned by or “in Christ” bestowed upon you that are unable to be conferred in any other way according to scripture?

· Be saved, receive redemption, have your sins remitted and added to the Lord’s body which is the church
· Be buried/planted with Him in the likeness of his death thus enabling like resurrection
· Put on Christ and become a Christian and child of God
· Receive the Holy Spirit, spiritual gifts, blessings, have hope, and be made alive in Him

So, how do you become owned by, “in Christ”, and part of the church? The fact of the matter is, there is one specific way mentioned in the bible as to what one must do to be “in Christ” as well as benefits for being “in him” that can only be realized thereby: by baptism.

Rom 6:3 “Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death”?

Gal 3:26/27 “For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ”.
1st Cor 12:13 “For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.
Rom 6:4 “Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life”.
Col 2:12Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead”.
Rom 6:5 “For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection”:
Acts 2:38 “Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost”. 41 “Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls”. 47 “Praising God, and having favour with all the people. And the Lord added to the church daily such as should be saved.”
· Christ’s body is the church of which He is the head (Col 1:18, Eph 5:23);
· You become part of the church by becoming a part of His body. You become part of His body by being baptized into it.
· In it (His body, the church), you obtain spiritual blessings (Eph 1:3).
· Are you really a Christian without being part of His body, the church, which you are added to upon being baptized (Acts 2:41, 47)?
· If you’re not buried with Him through baptism, can you then still be raised with Him?
Although you make some salient points some may not realize the all baptisms are not the same. When Eph. 4:4 speaks of " one baptism " it speaks of the baptism of 1 Cor. 12:13, "..baptized into one body.." and is spiritual baptism by the Holy Spirit. This baptism is at salvation and comes BEFORE water baptism. Many confuse water baptism with this baptism and it should be differentiated.

You certainly are confused as you continue to conflate Spirit baptism and water baptism and you also seem to conflate receiving the gift of the Holy Spirit with receiving spiritual gifts. Not all believers speak in tongues (1 Corinthians 12:30) and not all believers had hands laid on them either, prior to receiving the Holy Spirit, which was for a specific reason and purpose (exception, not the rule in Acts 2 and Acts 10).

Now compare the fact that these Gentiles in Acts 10:45 received the gift of the Holy Spirit (compare with Acts 2:38 - the gift of the Holy Spirit) and this was BEFORE water baptism. (Acts 10:47)

In Acts 10:43 we read ..whoever believes in Him receives remission of sins. Again, these Gentiles received the gift of the Holy Spirit -Acts 10:45 - when they believed on the Lord Jesus Christ - Acts 11:17 - (compare with Acts 16:31 - Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ and you will be saved) BEFORE water baptism - Acts 10:47. This is referred to as repentance unto life - Acts 11:18.

*So, the only logical conclusion when properly harmonizing scripture with scripture is that faith in Jesus Christ "implied in genuine repentance" (rather than water baptism) brings the remission of sins and the gift of the Holy Spirit (Luke 24:47; Acts 2:38; 3:19; 5:31; 10:43-47; 11:17,18; 13:38-39; 15:7-9; 16:31; 26:18). *Perfect Harmony*

In regard to the Lord adding to the body after receiving the word, through repentance/faith in Acts 2:47, what happened to baptism in Acts 4:4 and Acts 5:14?

Acts 4:4 - However, many of those who heard the word believed; and the number of the men came to be about five thousand.
Acts 5:14 - And believers were increasingly added to the Lord, multitudes of both men and women.

Spirit baptism is not merely limited to receiving spiritual gifts, but you need to believe that in order to "get around" the fact that these Gentiles, believed, received the gift of the Holy Spirit and spoke in tongues (spiritual gift that is ONLY for the body of Christ - 1 Corinthians 12) and were saved BEFORE water baptism. (Acts 10:43-47) This does not change the fact that these believers received the gift of the Holy Spirit based on repentance/faith and not water baptism. ALL believers are baptized by one Spirit into one body.. (1 Corinthians 12:13)

False. Acts 10:43-47 destroys your argument.

Again, you are confusing Spirit baptism in which ALL believers are baptized by one Spirit into one body with receiving spiritual gifts. You are forced to embrace your confusion in order to "get around" Acts 10:43-47 and uphold your biased church doctrine. There is still time for you to repent and believe on the Lord Jesus Christ. (Acts 11:17,18; 16:31)
While I agree with your post it should be noted that Jesus baptizes us with the Holy Ghost (Spirit ) Mk 1:8, the Holy Spirit baptizes us into the body of Christ 1 Cor. 12:13 and man baptizes us in water Acts 8:34 (Philip and the Ethiopian eunuch).

I agree with what you said concerning faith, but the baptism with the Spirit is not the same as the indwelling Spirit.
According to the Word, the initial manifestation of tongues is confirmation that the indwelling of the Holy Spirit has taken place. Everyone in the biblical accounts below had this same experience. The initial manifestation should not be confused with the spiritual gift of tongues. God chooses only certain individuals to deliver a message in tongues and/or interpret the message to a congregation. Note as well that if what occurred in the accounts was the manifestation of a spiritual gift why do the accounts neglect to record an interpretation?

"And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance." Acts 2:4

In referencing the experience recorded in Acts 10, Peter said the Gentiles received the Holy Ghost just as those at Pentecost (Acts 11). This confirms tongues is the evidence that the infilling has occurred. The account below is clear. It indicates the Holy Ghost was the gift, not that the individuals received the spiritual gift of tongues.

"And they of the circumcision which believed were astonished, as many as came with Peter, because that on the Gentiles also was poured out the gift of the Holy Ghost.
For they heard them speak with tongues, and magnify God. Then answered Peter,
Can any man forbid water, that these should not be baptized, which have received the Holy Ghost as well as we?" Acts 10.

Again, some 25+ years after the Holy Ghost was poured out as evidenced by speaking in tongues, about 12 Ephesians had the same experience (Acts 19). This account reveals the same experience that began at Pentecost continued to go forth just as Jesus said it would (Luke 24:47, Acts 2:4-42).

Also, Philip the Evangelist as well as the Samaritans knew they did not yet become indwelt by the Holy Ghost. And this, even after believing in Jesus and His name, and being water baptized in the name of Jesus. It was days later that they received the Holy Ghost. One must ask how the individuals knew they had not received the Holy Ghost in the first place. What was missing? The scripture does not specifically reference what was missing. However, clearly there was external evidence that confirmed the experience:

"Then laid they their hands on them, and they received the Holy Ghost.
And when Simon saw that through laying on of the apostles' hands the Holy Ghost was given, he offered them money,
Saying, Give me also this power, that on whomsoever I lay hands, he may receive the Holy Ghost." (Acts 8:17-19).

Lastly, one can be confident the speaking in tongues is what God chose to use to reveal His coming since nothing but speaking in tongues is recorded as occurring upon the initial infilling by the Spirit.

Some of this is accurate while some is not. Since we've been through it before, I'll refrain here.

Grace and peace.

There is only one baptism as scripture states. Water immersion. Started with Johns and carried forward from there through Acts such as in the conversion of the Jews on the day of Pentecost and the Ethiopian eunuch in Acts 8, clearly water. And by water immersion we get the indwelling of the Spirit, not baptism of the Spirit, but it's indwelling. There is no baptism of the Spirit as was recorded in Acts 2 and 10.

Actually according to people's faith it will be done unto them.

This answer is completely out of touch. Is the bible the authoritative word of God ? His there not types of Revelation of God He allows us to know him?

1. General Revelation = by His creation Romans chapter 1
2. Special Revelation = HIS word
3. By relationship with HIS Son.

Are you a troll?
