But much brighter blue and green accent.
However.... my slippers are bunny.
Who has a pair like these though? Used to be popular but now you don't see them in stores, it's all crocs and uggs.

Caregiving is such a nobel work. I needed a caregiver for my mom as I had to go to work. The caregiver was a great blessing to us. They do what we are not able to. A good caregiver is a tremedous support to the patient and her family, and I have great respect for them. God bless you abundantly.
Caregiving for your own mum is hard. It's a lot easier to have several trained nurses who work round the clock when things get bad, I never got a moments rest. Hospice do help with respite when they can, but if your mum gets better they can't help you anymore. It's a weird thing with hospice, about the end of life thing. Pain relief also needs to be done round the clock.

I agree. It is a really hard thing. I had 24/7 help but my mom wanted me, and managing her and work wasn't easy nor possible on the week days.
I can understand how much harder it must have been for you.
My caregiving duties are actually not that hard. Actually it was very hard for the first 2 years. I don't even know how I was able to get through it. But it's being tied down, not having any freedom or friends or family who cares that makes me feel so alone and unhappy, but I know there's a season for everything.
Don't feel too bad for me. I am spoiled when it comes to material things. I know many would probably love to trade places with me. Thank you for the compassion and prayers. It means a lot.

I have been shoeboxing for Christmas it's a charity run by Samaritans purse you probably have heard of it where you put things children would like in a shoebox and it gets delivered to them at Christmas.
I did 3 shoeboxes, 2 for boys and one for a girl. It's always fun unboxing gifts esp if you don't know what's inside.

This is very cute...I never had a music box, they mostly have ballerinas in them and you turn the key to play the music or it does it as you open the box.
To put your jewellery in too, I have a small one that but its not a music box which I put the little jewellery I have inside. Otherwise I'd lose them lol. Some of them did come with pouches, the ones you buy of course like rings, watches and necklaces would have their own boxes with cushions in them.

My new quest...to buy a nice box to put more things in. Of course, I could buy some new shoes and use the shoebox. But I used those for the children's gifts.
I am looking out for those musical jewellery boxes as I think they are good to keep precious things inside. With the mirror, turning ballerina and ring holder cushions.
I have a wooden treasure chest I made in school and keep perfumes/essential oils in it. They need to be kept in a cool dark place, and I can't keep them in the fridge. I varnished it and we used flocking on the inside, but it's a bit thin so I've covered it with cloth. There is supposed to be a latch but I didn't get round to putting one in. It's not perfect, actually it's a bit wonky, but then I was still learning woodworking skills when I was 12.
On a sad note, I will need something nice to put mum's ashes in. Some people do urns, but they are in a plastic box at the moment that the funeral home had. I've put in a basket that had flowers in but def need to do something, my brother promised he'd make a wooden casket and AFAIK still hasn't made one yet. He made the coffins for our pet cats.

Well I found a heart shaped musical jewellery box at the toystore, they also had the rectangular ballerina ones, but I went for one that had butterflies.
I put my essential oils inside - the perfect fit! I love how it pops up and plays the music in front of the little mirror when you open it. You wind the key at the back to activate it. The cashier at the toystore wouldn't let me open it unless I bought it.
They had them wrapped in bags and sealed with sellotape, so they could have just sealed it back up again after I'd looked inside (I always want to test things out in stores, much to shopkeepers chagrin) because I don't want to buy something that breaks as soon as you open it.
