I did not say Heb 4 does not include rest in Jesus. Rest throught the faith in what Jesus has done...

The verses leading up to verse 9 uses the word rest... but verse 9 uses the word Sabbath rest..

So I say BOTH ARE INCLUDED.

Heb 4:9-10
9 There remaineth therefore a rest (sabbath rest) to the people of God. 10 For he that is entered into his rest (Jesus's rest),
notice ALSO.
he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his.

WHAT WORKS DID GOD CEASE FROM?

physical labour.. and the sabbath rest was implemented..

We are to rest in Christ's salvation by faith, but also to cease from work like God did on the sabbath.

Rom 3:31 Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law.
Scripture speaks for itself. There’s nothing wrong with choosing to observe the Sabbath day. All I’m saying is that Scripture doesn’t make it mandatory for New Covenant believers. You can debate that within your own framework if you like, but I’ve made my case.

And STILL there are no instructions in the New Covenant for Christians to observe Saturday and there are no warnings in the New Covenant telling us those that don't observe Saturday are living in sin and will burn in hell for not observing Saturday. Weird.

So you are basically taking your personal opinion and are trying to push it onto others without having scripture from the New Covenant that instructs Christians to observe Saturday or warns Christians that no observing Saturday is sinful. Even more Weird.

Romans 14:5 - One person considers one day more sacred than another; another considers every day alike. Each of them should be fully convinced in their own mind.”

In other words, Sabbath observance is not a moral issue but one of personal preference and freedom. One cannot imagine Paul saying, “One man is faithful to his wife and another has several mistresses. Each one should be firmly convinced in his own mind what he should do.

If a person wants to observe the Sabbath (on Saturday or Sunday) as a healthy practice, that is fine—but it is a personal decision and is not required for salvation.

Galatians 4:10,11 - Ye observe days, and months, and times, and years.I am afraid of you, lest I have bestowed upon you labour in vain.

NO WHERE in the New Covenant are Christians told that not observing Saturday is sinful.
You can play like the Lord said it is, but He did not. You opinion doesn't count as God's Word as you suppose.
You just cannot read/study verse by verse, word for word Heb 4:1-11

Which does not say Saturday is the only day Christians can have rest
You are reading in to scripture something it does not say due to preconceived ideas you got from others.

Counsel of Jerusalem in Acts 15

The Saturday peoples can never overcome the Counsel of Jerusalem in Acts 15 where the Lord did NOT lead them to include observing Saturday sabbath... unless the Saturday peoples want to claim the Apostles were being led by devils in the Book of Acts and not being led by the Lord.

If they say the Apostles were being led by the Lord at the the Counsel of Jerusalem, then they must accept the Apostles teachings as being from the Lord.... and accept observing Saturday sabbath is not applicable under the New Covenant.

But, if they don't accept the Apostles teachings as being from the Lord at the Counsel of Jerusalem then the Saturday peoples must concede that they believe the Apostles were listening to devils which is why they did not teach the people about observing Saturday sabbath.

Acts 15:28,29
For it seemed good to the Holy Ghost, and to us, to lay upon you no greater burden than these necessary things;
That ye abstain from meats offered to idols, and from blood, and from things strangled, and from fornication: from which if ye keep yourselves, ye shall do well. Fare ye well.

The Saturday peoples apparently do believe the Apostles in the Book of Acts were being led by devils.

Does it matter which day we rest.
Does God specify which day was sanctified and set aside for holy use.

God was specific about which tree to not eat of... we can't just take any day and say that will be okay.. God was specific.

Mar 2:27-28
27 And he said unto them, The sabbath was made for man, and not man for the sabbath: 28 Therefore the Son of man is Lord also of the sabbath.

Exo 20:8 Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.

There is only one day in the seven that is the sabbath of the LORD.
The 7th.
Sabbath meaning 7th.

So tell every one plainly, do you believe those who do not have church on Saturday will go to hell?
Haha, you already follow the sabbath law according to them.
Did u read how they observe sabbath day? We all follow that already, according to them.

Cheers.
I don't think they go to corporate worship any day of the week. But if they do, wonderful 👏

Heb 8:10 For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people:

I will put my Laws into their mind and write them in their hearts.

Jer 31:33 But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people.

In Jeremiah's day which law was He quoting.

Paul quotes Jeremiah.

The new covenant will have the laws written on our heart.

But many refuse to let the sabbath law come into the experience.

No, under the New Covenant rest can only be found abiding in Christ.
Abiding in Christ is not being disputed.
We all agree...
Joh 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
But...
Rom 3:31 Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law.

We establish the law.

Why ? Because we love Jesus.

Yes, the Law of Christ not the law of Moses.
Please give me verses to prove that Christ did not uphold and promote the 10 commandments..

The law of Moses is different to God's law.

Joh 15:10 If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love.

Psa 19:7 KJV The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul:

The Lord's law is perfect...

Psa 111:7-8
7 all his commandments are sure. 8 They stand fast for ever and ever, and are done in truth and uprightness.

His commandments stand fast forever.

Jesus kept and taught all 10 commandments.

So to follow our example we should keep all 10 commandments too.

How to you practice to observe the 4th law?

True... you got that right

So do we become saved from sin by removing the law or by the death of Jesus?

If we are not transgressing the law because the law has been removed, then we are not sinning.
We do not need to be saved from sin if the law has been removed.

1Jn 3:4 Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.

We have been freed from the death that sin brings which is what the law reveals.
See the links...

Jesus died
Salvation by faith through grace
Salvation from sin
Free from the penalty of the law.
Not under the law...

But Rom 6:1-2
1 What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? 2 God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein?

Dead to sin = not a slave to sin, the flesh or old sinful nature has been put to death.

Rom 6:6-7
6 Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin. 7 For he that is dead is freed from sin.
Rom 6:12 Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof.

Who do you serve?

Rom 6:15-16
15 What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid. 16 Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?

We are not under law but under grace.

We are freed from the law by grace.

The law can't condemn us while we are under grace.

BUT DO WE CONTINUE TO SIN? GOD FORBID. NO.

under the law = under the condemnation. The law reveals sin.

Rom 3:31 Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law.
A careful study will reveal that the definition of sin is broader than many assume. "Whatever is not of faith is sin." So while an individual may not transgress the law outwardly, he/she may still be sinning because law and faith are incompatible.

"All who rely on works of the law are under a curse. For it is written: “Cursed is everyone who does not continue to do everything written in the Book of the Law.” Now it is clear that no one is justified before God by the law, because, “The righteous will live by faith.” The law, however, is not based on faith; on the contrary, “The man who does these things will live by them.” Galatians 3: 1-12

Without faith, it is impossible to please God. The law works from the outside to modify behaviour by the principle of blessing and cursing. Grace operates from the inside, an inner motivation and empowerment that is not available through the law.

I have never advocated that a believer can throw off all restraint and sin with impunity. If I come across someone like that, I will declare that they are not saved. Real believers hate sin.

It is clear from God's word that Christians can and do sin still. Only in the fantasy world of the self righteous does sinless perfection exist. Hebrews tells us: "Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off every encumbrance and the sin that so easily entangles, and let us run with endurance the race set out for us......" 12:1

If Christians never sin then there is no need to throw it off.

Is cooking allowed on sabbath day in ot time?
Wonder if people still do cooking 🍳 on Saturday?
And people don't have any faithful God s people gathering on any day , yet they claim they follow the sabbath law by not laboring.
Cooking was forbidden. According to modern Jewish interpretations, turning on a light switch is work. That's the joy of being enslaved by law. Everything has to be followed to the nth degree or the law broken.

What about the Ethiopian Bible? What gave man the authority to pick and chose what went into the canon? Why is Catholic, Protestant and Jewish all different as well? Please don't hang your hat on a manmade Canon process.
So who decides? You? The church has done amazing works to spread the gospel over much of the world. You will find that the differences in various traditions are relatively minor. If you want to use the apocryphal books, no one is stopping you. Just don't use them to promote doctrines that contradict the accepted books of the Bible.

Haha, yep.
But people on this thread is advocating their way of following 4th law, actually are just not work their regular job.
For example, if one sit by computer all week days, then on Saturday as long as they don't sit by computer then it is good.
Also they agree emergency workers are good to work on Saturday, that covers a lot of people.
So i really don't know what's their point?

Sure, keep ignoring the rest of the New Testament. It was written to counteract your false doctrines. Lord Jesus was a Jew, in Israel and lived as a Jew. The law was given to Israel.

Acts 15:10 & 11
"Now then, why do you test God by placing on the necks of the disciples a yoke that neither we nor our fathers have been able to bear? On the contrary, we believe it is through the grace of the Lord Jesus that we are saved, just as they are.”

If you are telling me that you obey the law perfectly then I say that you are a liar. And if you are not obeying the law perfectly then you are lost.

"All who rely on works of the law are under a curse. That WAS God's labor.
Six days to create the world. He is the Creator of all things. That was His labor.

But on the 7th day He rested.

Why is that so hard for you to understand?
Does it say God worked the 8th through the 13th day and rested again on the 14th? No, it doesn't. Why is that so hard for you to understand? You bring to the text your presuppositions instead of simply reading what is there.

Their point is to demonstrate their religious superiority compared to mere believers who cling to Christ alone.
