I heard thats where everyone throws paint powder all over each other. Not sure if its religious or if it's just a fun day. In Spain they throw tomatoes at each other.
I don't celebrate Holi. I don't know if the La Tomatina festival of Spian has any pagan association, but Holi has Hindu religious significance.
Spain is mostly Catholic or Islamic. Everyone else would just be heathens.
I think pagan is more what Druids believe, or people who are into wizards and witches. Or maybe it was the Romans/Greeks belief in various gods and goddesses.
Christmas is pretty much celebrated by everyone, for the presents, especially for children. The belief in Santa Claus is very strong amongst children around the time leading up to Christmas.

My latest stunt is spending an embarrassing amount of money on lip balm.
I'm always wearing at least lip balm because I have this nervous habit of biting my lip. Some people bite their nails -- I used to as a kid -- but for some reason, the habit switched to biting my lip, and the balm prevents that.
I have a very particular brand I usually buy -- Blistex -- and I like the flavored kind, not the medicated or the kind the smells like plain petroleum jelly.
Well... It seems to be the story of my life that most of the products I like get discontinued, and I've been having a hard time finding my tried and true fruit-flavored Blixtex in the local stores. Another reason I like it is because I go through so many tubes, it's very reasonably priced at about $2.
The stores have now replaced all the less expensive options with things that cost $7 to $20+ for a single doggone tube, which is beyond ridiculous (especially since I go through one at least once a month.)
It looks like my beloved flavored Blistex is being pushed out of the market, as the online selection was limited. I grabbed what I could while it's still at the normal price -- before stock becomes scarce and scalpers start pricing them as if they're designer shoes.
Needless to say...
I'm gonna have enough lip balm to last a year -- or more.
But at least it's a kind I like, at a price I was willing to pay, and is a brand I actually like. (I've tried several others, but they're all too waxy, too oily, too ineffective, or have a scent I just don't like.)
I'm already dreading the day when I have to start shopping around for a replacement (shudder.)

I haven't added them all up yet, but...
I think it's going to be somewhere over 100 tubes. Some were in value packs that came out to about $1.50 a tube, which is a steal, compared to the brands stores have replaced this one with.
And since none of them have sunscreen, they won't expire (at least, not to me.) Lip balms are also notoriously easy to lose -- as much as I try to treat them like gold, I'm bound to lose a few. Lately I've been going through 2-3 a month.

I bought 288 4-blade razor cartridges for $24 a few weeks ago. Once I bought two whole cases of dark chocolate mint kit kats. That's 72 bars. But they were so very good, and I've never seen them again. The kit kat "duos" bars aren't even close to the same.
Any chance you could get some more sticks, while the deal is available? You still got a long time to live, and you're gonna run out eventually, and you'll never be able to get them again...

I'm all about stocking up when possible/necessary/finding things at a good price. I set aside a few extra dollars for it in my budget so I can load up when opportunities arise.I even found 2 more flavors on Amazon I hadn't seen before. They used to come out with Christmas flavors every year too, but they were hard to find (last year, they were only in Target.)
I'm gonna have to set aside a bit more money and hope to go on another run before they disappear.

I wish I could stock up on candy, but my problem is that I'd eat it continuously until it was gone, so I can generally only stockpile non-edibles (at least, not anything sweet or too snack-y, like potato chips.)
I got the razors at the auction. The seller didn't sell any when he ran a bid on them, and he wanted to get rid of them. Bad for him but YAY!!!! for me. You never know what you'll see at the auction.

Glad you have enough of your favorite brand to last for a year! It is really disappointing when you don't get a product that suits you so well.
I use lipsticks and ocassional sunscreen, but I prefer caps or hats when out in the sun. I have transitioned to organic lipsticks and oils for my skin instead of moisturizers.
