It's so restful, and I'm thankful that there's one day a week for me to give thanks for the other six days where I get to chop wood

That was Peter actually II Peter 3:8 "But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day."
The text claims BOTH - one day is like 1,000 years to God AND 1,000 years are like one day.

Psa 90:4 helps explain the meaning better - "For a thousand years in thy sight are but as yesterday when it is past, and as a watch in the night."

God is immortal. When 1,000 years are past it is like but yesterday to Him.

The text could say 100,000 years or 100 million years. Still to God it is but like yesterday.

The 4th commandment commands us to do ALL OUR Daily Work in 6 days and rest on the 7th day.
Jesus told us it is lawful to do good on the sabbath, even if meant saving the life of an animal on the sabbath.

Naturally emergency services will still be needed for doctors, ambulance drivers, firefighters, etc.
These things are to save life.

But a carpenter, fisherman, tent maker, merchant, etc.
Not allowed on the sabbath. Whose life is being saved if these jobs are done on the sabbath?

The answer was no which covered observing Saturday sabbath as a requirement for salvation.

In the New Covenant it is NOT a sin for believers to not observe Saturday sabbath

If it was then the New Testament would contain warnings saying that not observing Saturday sabbath is a sin but no where in the New Testament do we see any such warnings

In the New Covenant sin is transgressing the Law of Christ not the law of Moses which Jesus came to take away so He could establish the new.

Hebrews 10:9 - Then said he, Lo, I come to do thy will, O God. He taketh away the first, that he may establish the second.

Christians live under the Law of Christ (Galatians 6:2, 1 Corinthians 9:21, James 2:12, James 1:25, Romans 8:2), not the law of Moses.

Now the tares are trying to live under the law of Moses and seek to deceive Christians in to turning away from the Lord to live under the law of Moses. It's the same demonic trick the devil pulled on the Galatians causing them to fall from grace

Galatians 5:4 - Christ is become of no effect unto you, whosoever of you are justified by the law; ye are fallen from grace.
