Hi Karen,
Our part of the relationship is to respond with ever increasing faith. What does that mean?
It means that we are to make a better surrender of ourselves to Him everyday, all day if necessary.
These two prayers are a vital part of my relationship with Him. I know God says not to pray with vain repetition . Well saying these prayers isn't done in vain repetition, but with the intention of like peeling an onion. Shedding a layer of our old self one day at a time. When you start to see your life reflecting these prayers, your on the right track.
1) God, I offer myself to thee--- to build with me and do with me as thou wills. Relieve me of the bondage of self, that I may better do thy will. Take away my difficulties, that victory over them may bear witness to those i would help of thy power, thy love, and thy way of life. May i do thy will always!
2) Father, I am now willing that you should have all of me good and bad. I pray that you now remove from me every single defect of character that stands in the way of my usefulness to you and my fellows. Grant me strength as I go out from here to do thy bidding, Amen!
This is the perfecting process.
