The apostle john has a message for you
if you say you have no sin, you decieve yourself and there is no truth in you.
Not for me, but for those who walk in darkness.
Thanks be to God, I walk in the light...where there is no sin.
You want to pat yourself on the back. feel free.. don't expect the rest of us to bow down to you
The thought never crossed my mind.
Walk in sin is not the same as being sinless or perfect. without sin.
I agree, as sinners cannot say they have fellowship with God or His Son, (1 John 1:6), or that they have no sin, (1 John 1:8), or that they even know God. (1 John 2:3-4)
Those without sin, (those in the light that is God in Whom is no darkness), can say they have all of those things.
Yes there is
one who walks in sin is continually in sin, it was they live, they walk
one who has a moment where they stumble and fall is not walking in sin. they do as John said, confess that sin and move on.
One sin is all it takes to manifest a lack of repentance, whom one is born of, and whom one serves.
I have no doubt either. But he did not claim sinless perfection. He was humble before God..
You may be unaware of Paul writing...“Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin. For he that is dead is freed from sin.” (Rom. 6:6-7)
"Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness." (Rom 6:18)
"But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and the end everlasting life." (Rom 6:22)
And...
"Let us therefore, as many as be perfect, be thus minded: and if in anything ye be otherwise minded, God shall reveal even this unto you." (Phil 3:15)
"Whom we preach, warning every man, and teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man perfect in Christ Jesus:" (Col 1:28)
"Nevertheless the foundation of God standeth sure, having this seal, The Lord knoweth them that are his. And, let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity." (2 Tim 2:19)
So heaven will happen for you if you keep obeying
That is the promise made by Jesus Christ, in Matt 24:13..."But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved."
Paul writes this to Titus..."They profess that they know God; but in works they deny him, being abominable, and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate." (Titus 1:16)
Are you saying those people will be saved ?
that's the law my friend. that is not grace.
Heaven will happen for me, because my savior died on the cross. and was risen, proving victory over death.
It is written..."Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven;
but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you:
depart from me, ye that work iniquity." (Matt 7:21-23)
