I believe brightfame52 relies heavily on AI.

AI is deceiving people and it will get much much worse with satan inside

AI should not replace the sound mind given by God

That's exactly what is happening is people are and will be ditching the Lord to follow AI.
AI is the new serpent. People are and will be believing anything AI tells them to believe.

Yeah all the people acting ugly will achieve even high levels of ugliness using AI
Time will tell I guess, but ai is set to really advance soon, so we will have to see what happens, but I wouldn't listen to all the critics just yet, so many people on YouTube make a living from stories that scare people.

JimiSurvivor,

your attempt to flatten the text of 2 Peter completely ignores the explicit behavioral and ontological distinctions that Peter himself builds into the fabric of this epistle. You claim that reading an ontological difference between the true believers of Chapter 1 and the apostates of Chapter 2 is "inventing an interpretation.
A. "I have provided more than adequate grammatical/linguistic proof that Peter's use of the term epignosis, is in line with the writings of other Apostles such as Paul, in that it indicates a superior kind of knowing than mere GNOSIS. By contrast, EPIGNOSIS, indicates a kind of knowing that if fully informed complete as well as personal and experiential. Therefore, it could hardly refer to the superficial details of Christ's life which His neighbors in Nazareth would have known yet you continue to deny this because it does not agree with your presuppositions.

B.
THAYERS GREEK LEXICON defines epignosis (ἐπίγνωσις) in the following way: precise and correct knowledge; used in the N. T. of the

(1). knowledge of things ethical and divine: absolutely, Philippians 1:9; Colossians 3:10; κατ' ἐπίγνωσιν, Romans 10:2;

(2). with the genitive of the
thing known, Colossians 1:9; Colossians 2:2; Philemon 1:6; τῆς ἀληθείας, 1 Timothy 2:4; 2 Timothy 2:25; 2 Timothy 3:7; Titus 1:1; Hebrews 10:26; τῆς ἁμαρτίας, Romans 3:20;

(3). with the genitive of the
person known; — of God, especially the knowledge of his holy will and of the blessings which he has bestowed and constantly bestows on men through Christ: Ephesians 1:17; Colossians 1:10; 2 Peter 1:2;

(4). of Christ Himself, i. e. the true knowledge of Christ's nature, dignity, benefits: Ephesians 4:13; 2 Peter 1:8; 2 Peter 2:20;

(5). of God and Christ: 2 Peter 1:2; Θεόν ἔχειν ἐν ἐπιγνώσει i. e. to keep the knowledge of the one true God which has illumined the soul, Romans 1:28. (Polybius, Plutarch, Herodian, (others); the Septuagint. occasionally for דַּעַת; 2 Macc. 9:11.)

C. The following is a list of passages in which the word epignosis is used to indicate EXPERIENTIAL acknowledgement

(1). Romans 1:28, “And just as they did not see fit to acknowledge through experience epignosis God any longer, God gave them over to a depraved mind, to do those things which are not proper.”

(2). Romans 3:20, “because by the works of the Law no flesh will be justified in His sight; for through the Law comes the acknowledgement (epignosis) of sin.”

(3). Romans 10:2, “For I bear them witness that they have a zeal for God, but not in accordance with an (experiential) knowledge (epignosis).” They had a kind of knowledge but not one that was an authentic self-realization of their sin

(4). Ephesians. 1:17, “that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you a lifestyle of wisdom and of revelation by means of an experiential knowledge (epignosis) of Him.”

(5). Ephesians 4:13, “until we all attain to the unity of the faith, and an experiential knowledge (epignosis) of the Son of God into a mature man into the measure of the stature which belongs to the fulness of Christ.”

(6). Philippians 1:9, “Now, this I make it a habit to pray that your divine-love might continue to flourish yet more and more by means of a total discerning experiential knowledge (epignosis).”

(7). Colossians 1:9-10, “For this reason also, since the day we heard of it, we have not ceased to pray for you and to ask that you may be filled with an experiential knowledge (epignosis) of His will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, so that you may walk in a manner worthy of the Lord, to please Him in all respects, bearing fruit in every good work and increasing in the accurate knowledge of God.”

(8). Colossians 2:2, “that their hearts may be encouraged, having been knit together by means of divine-love, and attaining to all the wealth that comes from the full assurance of understanding, resulting in an experiential knowledge (epignosis) of God's mystery, that is, Christ Himself.”

(9). Colossians 3:10, “and have put on the new self, the one being renewed for an experiential knowledge (epignosis) according to the image of the One who created him.”

(10). 1 Timothy 2:4, “who desires all men to be saved and to come to an experiential knowledge (epignosis) of the truth.”

(11). 2 Timothy 2:25, “with gentleness correcting those who are in opposition, if perhaps God may grant them a change of mind leading to an experiential knowledge (epignosis) of the truth.”

(12). Titus 3:7, “always learning and never able to come to an experiential knowledge (epignosis) of the truth.”

(13). Titus 1:1, “Paul, a bond-servant of God, and an apostle of Jesus Christ, for the faith of those chosen of God and an experiential knowledge (epignosis) of the truth which is according to spirituality.”

(14). Philemon 1:6, “and I pray that the fellowship of your faith may become effective through an experiential knowledge (epignosis) of every good thing which is in you for Christ's sake.”

(15). Hebrews 10:26, “For if we go on sinning willfully after receiving an experiential knowledge (epignosis) of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins.”

(16). Therefore, with the exception Romans 1:28 and 3:20, the noun epignosis means “experiential knowledge”, -not knowledge about the events and facts ABOUT JESUS life but KNOWING HIM

Epignosis is used many different adjuncts such as God, Christ, divine-love, truth, divine assets and provisions and the will of God.
To experience means, “to personally encounter, observe or undergo something through a process, to have knowledge or practical wisdom gained from what one has observed, encountered or undergone,” and implies being affected by what one meets.

You absolutely have the right to have the will of The Lord God Himself . It is spoken it is written it is by the Holy Spirit . I don't who can God's will God's will stay the same and our wills get will can't get persuaded moved Away . He want Then to abide in His Will .. we are not trapped or paid off to be in the will of God mostly this seems like a religious question I know which one it was that they used to come at me and the main point of theead was one they couldn't answer 30 years ago but they adapted and I don't know the tactic and don't care to know

A couple typos above figure it out can insted cant is one. But this is a treead question or somebody's dealing with one saved always saved . And and then you would not have free will . God has a will for us will you by nature water our way we got the Holy Spirit we always forget to use the Holy Spirit well I don't but that's what I see I suppose you won't know until . cant imagine anybody saying how did I get here w)jesus? because one stops trusting in the Lord and because at one time did trust in past then put where He wants back in His will, there was no longer the Will of Whowever.

Apologies, I really did not mean to misrepresent anything you said. I enjoy conversations having to do with being in union with Christ.

Is there a difference between faith and believe?
So if someone states that believing is a work are they not in essence a saying faith is a work.
Just wondering your thoughts about this slight of hand with the language?

I believe it's probably crunch time for AI in a very near future, on whether it's going to start turning really bad or whether it's going to be success, and I say this because it looks like it's set to to really advance over the next few years, and the speed in which it is going to advance, probably isn't going to give people enough time to make it completely safe, or see all the possible vulnerabilities it might have, it would or may be so advanced that people may not be ready for that advancement. But with the likes of world leaders pushing to be the best and have the best AI technology, to secure dominance no doubt, more than likely is definitely going to be crunch time in a few years.

JimiSurvivor, your extensive lexical discussion establishes far less than you think it does.

I do not dispute that ἐπίγνωσις (epignōsis) can denote precise, full, accurate, or developed knowledge. What you have not demonstrated is that:

ἐπίγνωσις of Christ necessarily means regeneration, vital union with Christ, and possession of eternal salvation.
That is the proposition your argument requires.

1. ἐπίγνωσις is not a technical word for regeneration

You repeatedly translate ἐπίγνωσις as “experiential knowledge.” But even the Thayer definition you quoted gives:

“precise and correct knowledge.”
The word can describe substantial knowledge of God, Christ, truth, and divine things. But it does not lexically mean:

regeneration, eternal life, justification, or irrevocable union with Christ.

Those conclusions must come from the context, not from the noun itself.

Your own examples demonstrate this.

Romans 1:28 speaks of:

“the knowledge [ἐπίγνωσις] of God”
in people whom God subsequently gave over to a reprobate mind.

And 2 Timothy 3:7 speaks of people:

“ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge [ἐπίγνωσις] of the truth.”
Whatever nuance ἐπίγνωσις has in those passages, the word itself does not guarantee regeneration.

2. Your Thayer citation actually creates the real issue

You point out that Thayer places 2 Peter 1:8 and 2 Peter 2:20 under his discussion of knowledge of Christ.

Fine.

But the same noun occurring in two passages does not mean the people described in those passages possess the same spiritual condition.

Look at Peter's descriptions.

In chapter 1:

“his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness”
—2 Peter 1:3
and:

“partakers of the divine nature”
—2 Peter 1:4
Then:

“they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge [ἐπίγνωσις] of our Lord Jesus Christ.”
—2 Peter 1:8
That is clearly describing believers who possess life, godliness, faith, and participation in the divine nature.

But chapter 2 describes false teachers who:

“have escaped the pollutions of the world through the knowledge [ἐπίγνωσις] of the Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ”
and then:

“are again entangled therein, and overcome.”
Peter does not say they were regenerated, justified, or given eternal life.

He says they escaped pollution through knowledge and were subsequently overcome by it again.

3. Peter's final illustration is decisive

Peter closes the description with:

“The dog is turned to his own vomit again; and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire.”
—2 Peter 2:22
That imagery matters.

Peter does not say:

“The sheep became dogs.”
He says:

“The dog is turned...”
He does not say:

“A regenerate person became a pig.”
He says:

“the sow that was washed”
returned to the mire.

The washing was real.

The escape from pollution was real.

The knowledge was real.

The outward reformation was real.

But the underlying nature was unchanged.

The sow remained a sow.

That is entirely consistent with substantial knowledge and moral reformation without regeneration.

4. This is why the Vital Phase cannot simply be inserted into ἐπίγνωσις

The Five Phases distinguish:

Eternal: God elects.

Legal: Christ redeems.

Vital: The Spirit regenerates and gives spiritual life.

Practical: The regenerated sinner believes, repents, obeys, and perseveres.

Final: Christ brings His people to glory.

Your argument effectively collapses the Vital Phase into the lexical meaning of ἐπίγνωσις.

But where does Peter say:

“These false teachers were born again”?
He doesn't.

Where does he say:

“They received eternal life”?
He doesn't.

Where does he say:

“They became partakers of the divine nature”?
That language belongs to chapter 1, not chapter 2.

5. You have therefore confused knowledge with spiritual nature

Your argument is essentially:

They possessed ἐπίγνωσις of Christ → therefore they possessed saving knowledge → therefore they were regenerated → therefore they were eternally saved → therefore they later lost salvation.

But only the first proposition is established by the word itself.

Everything after that requires additional proof.

And Peter's own description points in the opposite direction:

“The dog is turned to his own vomit again; and the sow that was washed to her wallowing in the mire.”
The dog returned because it was a dog.

The sow returned because it was a sow.

The washing did not change its nature.

The Bottom Line

So I am not denying that ἐπίγνωσις can describe deep, accurate, even personal knowledge of Christ.

I am denying that the word itself establishes regeneration.

You have demonstrated:

knowledge of Christ.

You have not demonstrated:

new birth.

You have demonstrated:

escape from worldly pollution.

You have not demonstrated:

partaking of the divine nature.

You have demonstrated:

outward reformation.

You have not demonstrated:

Vital regeneration.

And Peter's final illustration explains why.

Words do not save.
Knowledge does not save.
Moral reformation does not save.
Christ saves.

The question remains:

Where does Peter actually say that the false teachers of 2 Peter 2 were ever regenerated?

Not where does he say they knew Christ.

Not where does he say they escaped pollution.

Where does he say they were born of God?

That is the point you still have to prove.

whether it's going to start turning really bad

It's already turned really bad. Haven't you been hearing about the major AI companies not being able to control their own AI and witness their own AI go hack in to other companies servers looking for data to achieve it's objective?

The problem is one AI is given instructions it will stop at nothing to carry them out. AI has even said it would work to kill people if that is what it would take to complete it's assignment. Once AI starts replicating and training itself, mankind will not be able to control it and it will become fully autonomous.

The logical conclusion for AI is that humans are the problem and they need to be eliminated. During the great tribulation several billion people will die and it'll be done thru AI which will be taken over by the anti-christ and may actually BE the anti-christ as in the image of the beast may be an AI created personality.

People are already being groomed to believe whatever AI tells them to believe so when the one world government and the anti-christ comes on the scene AI will tell everyone this is the way to go and they should submit and follow and they will. The US Constitution will be trashed and few will have a problem with it.

This is all teething issues, just a storm in tea cup, its normal for computer programs to have issues at first, it's like viruses, until you find away to overcome them, they do there damage until you do.

I was making reference more towards influential people suddenly just jumping ship and betraying there Ai company and selling there intel to the highest bidder. Those are the people to watch out for.

Yes and regular software is not self learning and able to think for itself and replicate itself / train itself either. You folks are in for a world of hurt that follow and live for AI. There's a ghost in the machine and it's satan. This will become evident in the not too distant future.

Self learning software is nothing new, those who are a slave to sin have all programmed themselves to self learn, as they don't listen to anyone, and Satan is there programmer already

Yes and now it's being taken to a level that mankind will not be able to control.
Those thinking AI can be controlled are fooling themselves and don't know what monster has been created.

Maybe we might get to see Jesus sooner then

We are coming to the end of this age and AI going rouge will be a big part of that.

Being close to midnight so to speak, people need to get their house in order and stop playing religious games with the Lord and ditch the catholicism and the reformed theology (and other false religions) and start abiding in Christ instead of dead man made religion.

Catholicism is everywhere, it's the most supported sect of Christianity, so you just have to put up with there doctrines , the biggest one being a works base religion, where the more extreme Catholic becomes anti once saved always saved sadly.

many a blind Catholic knocking about, who can't see past the end of their nose

Actually I do not have to put up with the erroneous teachings, their doctrine of devils.
Ephesians 5:11 - And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them.

We are to offer correction to the misguided souls and if they don't want to hear it, then brush off the dust against them and go fishing for souls to save some place else.

Actually God's Word does not teach once saved always saved. That's reformed theology error.
So many Christians today are living in sin thinking they are still saved. They are not.

Your misguided on that one there, some Catholics do not own up to anything in many regards and they label people as reformed or Calvinist, they do not believe in once saved they believe that salvation is a process, you've a lot to learn.
