For months now I've been making the case that the Greek word "pisteuo" couldn't be correctly translated into the English language.

The words the translators chose to use 248 times in the NT are believe, believer, and believing.

The definition of the word "believe" is, " an opinion held in good faith without the necessary relationship."

The definition of "pisteuo" is"a personal surrender to Him and a life inspired by such surrender." (Vines)

So it's time to look at some of the passages impacted by those definitions.

Mark 16:16,
(With the mistranslated word "believes".)
"He that "believes" and is baptized shall be saved."

(With the exact definition of the mistranslated words " believes.")
"He that holds a good opinion of Him, without the necessary relationship with Him, shall be saved."

Mark 16:16,
( with the correct translation of the Greek word " pisteuo.")
" He that "faithes" and is baptized shall be saved."

(With the exact definition of the Greek word "pisteuo.")
"He that personally surrenders their lives to Him, lives a life inspired by such surrender and is baptized, shall be saved."

It be better to go farther back in languages to,will be far better to exact meanings . Myself i dint believe anyway so best To know Trust .but in the verse, i like it as it Is . Reason why it Has hearing of Gospel to Believe But The Next Part is The Faith Verb To be baptized, most men only look at water. The True Anointed baptism is Fire. I don't trust that saying belive in Jesus saves anyone especially without the baptism , as the scripture says With the Holy Spirit it's just so strange I have to go 40 years back to people on site so I don't speak it out much. yeah I get to Look at the ways have really advanced we're craftiness of words and twisting this and that so I'm glad the Bible is the way it is either seek him out or you don't. it's not much effort nowadays with internet put yourself back 45 50 years and you'll see what real man had to do that's what the Holy Spirit and a The true man who are the beginners they that we're with Jesus .we got no sowers only reapers if nothing good is sown what's there to water & reap. Do your best to understand it Ty

We need to remember the translators were stylists. They fashioned the sentences according to style of the English language at the time.

John 3:16
(With the mistranslated word " believes.")
"For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever " believes" in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. "

John 3:16
( With the exact definition of the mistranslated word "believes".)
" For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever ( holds a good opinion of Him in good faith, with out the necessary relationship ) in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. "

John 3:16
( With the correct translation of the Greek word " pisteuo.")
" For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever ( faithes ) in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life."

John 3:16
( With the exact definition of the Greek word "pisteuo. )
"For God so loved the world, that whosoever (surrenders their life to Him and lives a life inspired by such surrender ) in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life."

The Greek word " pisteuo " is used 248 times in the NT.
3 of those times, " pisteuo " is translated " trust or entrust."
The other 245 times " pisteuo " is translated " a personal surrender to Him and a life inspired by such surrender. "

This is one of the scriptures that the word " trust" is used.

Luke 24:25,
( With the mistranslated word " believe ")
" Then He said to them, o fools, and slow of heart to " believe" all that the prophets have spoken."

Luke 24:25
( with the exact definition of the mistranslated word "believe." )
" Then He said to them, o fools, and slow of heart to " hold a good opinion " of all the prophets have spoken."

Luke 24:25
(With the correct translation of the Greek word " pisteuo.")
" He then said to them, o fools, and slow of heart to " faithe " in all the prophets have spoken."

Luke 24:25.
(With the exact definition of the Greek word " pisteuo ".)
" Then He said to them, o fools, and slow of heart to " trust your lives" to all the prophets have spoken. "

Mark 16:16 i like it because it doesn't put everything in Believe . Mark adds the Seal to the Holy Spirit by saying Be baptized . Yet still that is another problem cus many think water only and either deny or don't know baptism is of The Holy Spirit and this is The Anointing . Knowing Jesus by The baptism holy Spirit automatically brings the scriptures to more than life . Many scripture myself know better meaning by searching script languages compare all four that I deal with Hebrew Aramaic Greek English . There are plenty of words that have weak meaning in English and education makes a lot of words even Weaker . So as mark pointed out The babtism im sure he ment The Holy Spirit is the answer to all our questions. . If I was going to be a stickler to a word used in the Bible it would be Christ, christ never really has been translated and some people think crist is in English word but I wouldn't want to change it because it is still a stumbling block for unbelievers .I was shown this many years ago . you hear all any religion say Jesus Christ is Just this or that speaking without the Holy Spirit. Thanks for putting up Mark scripture but I'm not into the faithing thing I changed the word believe to old as i understand to Aman
it's a foundation that can't be moved but can still Stay a Foundation only
so now lets be baptized Holy Spirit and watch it grow that would be Parah Ruach ,that only Heaven can do
