well as far as from what I've always heard or studied - The three part being exists - the Trinity - but they work as one.
1) God is in Heaven (he never left Heaven) he remains in Heaven perfect in judgement and untainted with pure love and pure light,
He's so perfect in his power that if people seen his face they would die or probably be destroyed, (not because he wanted that to happen
he's just that powerful) because of their sin that separates them from God.
2) he created a plan in the beginning revealing them through prophecies since Genesis that is - Jesus (Ultimate Sacrifice) - his obedient son was sent as the human sacrifice untainted by the world, for the tainted human inorder to return man to God once again. The requirement is to believe in, repent and to follow Jesus Christ that he is the messiah.
Jesus is still Gods son and he still has to be obedient even to God. Otherwise if he were his father he could have saved himself from the cross...that means Jesus has a seperate personality from God, he chose to obey, but he did have the help of the Holy Spirit (who guided him) which definitely helped.
While Jesus was on Earth he had spoken of a 'helper' that would come, Jesus never said he was coming to stay on the Earth with the disciples, the entire time, after he died and rose again he returned to Heaven, he is still there, until he returns again for his 'bride' the church.
3) The Holy Spirit came later on in the upper room and the Christian church began. The Holy Spirit is the helper, the counselor, the convictor
of our hearts to show us we are doing wrong, and to guide us toward doing right to follow the commandments, to turn from our wicked ways
and repent and recieve Gods grace. The Holy Spirit has feelings (he also has his own personality), he gets hurt, he gets offended, he can be grieved, he weeps, but he also gives joy and peace and wisdom, you know its the Holy Spirit by his fruits. Which come from the word, he will never steer from the word. He guides you into all truth and reveals the word to us.
The Trinity is a three part being - they work as one
but as this is as far as I know to be honest
when we pray we cannot go to the throne room of grace to God, without first going through Jesus, our mediator and advocate (he defends us
against our prosecuter Satan who constantly reminds God our sins, while Jesus shows his blood that covers our sins and defends us)
and we also need the Holy Spirit to guide us into all truths even to draw us to Jesus so that we might recieve him.
After we die and go to Heaven we will then be reunited with God forever.

hope that made some sense...
