B
Any bashful responses I receive, or any "holier than thou" attitudes will be ignored.
Now, this is my first post, so let me tell you a bit myself.
I'm 18, I play guitar and occasionally lead worship at my church, I also play drums and a little bit of keyboard. Music definitely is a major factor in my life. God comes first, of course, always.
I've received many different mixed responses on the subject I want to ask/discuss with you today.
I am a spirit filled Christian, I am also a youth group leader, and play worship music, but I wouldn't consider myself a "Worship leader", as we should all be leading people into worship for our Lord, it shouldn't be focused on one particular person. I do not smoke, or drink, or anything of the sort, which a lot of people associate the topic with. I attend concerts. Many concerts. Christian concerts. Hardcore shows, would be the more acceptable term. Yes, hardcore. Screaming, bass drops, breakdowns, palm muted guitars and loud drums, kind of hardcore. Now, before I am called a heathen, please read my previous info. Do not mention ACDC, do not mention any other "heavy metal" band from the 70's, 80's, and 90's. This is not about "heavy metal." I don't want to hear about backmasked hidden tracks from old Black Sabbath albums. This is not what I am referring to. Why do people believe that attending concerts, especially hardcore concerts, is a sin?
And yes, before you ask, I do get into "the pit" and dance at these shows. Didn't David dance unto the Lord?
What's wrong with dancing to lyrics such as "Hell fear me, I am the one that will bring you down." or "Let my name be feared at the gates of hell, as I EXALT the SAVIOR." ?
Please, logical responses only.
