She also slept with Leon Trotsky.

I noticed a few have mentioned Mother Teresa. I heard a short talk from her cardiologist who was with her during her final years. He had an amazing story and learned a lot from her, but here is one part that I think you guys will like.

Mother Teresa would not take her heart medication that had been prescribed to her. She kept on working and traveling and she was getting very weak so the doctor made it clear to the nurses that she absolutely must take the medicine. The nurses came back and told the doctor that no matter what, she refused to take it and says she doesn't need it. So, the doc went to her room and explained to her how vitally important it was that she take her medicine. When he finished, she smiled at him and told him she understood. Then she took the medicine. The doctor was relieved and started to leave the room, but she stopped him and asked if she could ask him a question. She said to him (and I am paraphrasing), "Do you think that if my LORD decided that today was my time to depart this earth that your little pills would really make a difference?"

:) Love you, Mother Teresa! (its Saint Teresa to me)

Teresa is one of the few highly revered post WWII peace figures who I have not found to be bloated by retrospective adulation. She was the real deal in so many ways.

Nelson Mandela, MLK, and Mohandas Ghandi on the other hand...

- Jesus: I can't say enough about why I admire Him.
- Peter: The only disciple to walk on water with Jesus.

- Nikola Tesla: This guy was years and years ahead of his time and is highly underrated for his contributions to advanced technology. This guys ideas led to the development of the modern AC current, Radio, Radar, X-Rays, Loudspeakers, and so much more. Besides.... who doesn't admire a celebate, phobia fearing, obsessive compulsive, brilliant man? Also, the Tesla Coil is just plain AWESOME!

Much of the reason I think he is still so underrated is the propaganda Edison smashed him with. A shame, because he was probably the greatest mind of the 20th century.

I agree, that was one heck of a rivalry those two had going on!

I am sure Edison was feeling extra salty when Tesla and Westinghouse won the bid over himself and General Electric to light the 1893 Chicago World's Fair. IN YO FACE EDISON! haha

Hahaha, I love how this thread is turning into a Tesla love-fest. Oh Tesla, we pray God informs you of our post-mortem adulation!

Outside of the bible: The Protestant Reformers. Of the Reformers, it'd probaby be Martin Luther.

Henry tudor

I hope you know that this is what he really looked like. Not the handsome, athletic-built actor that plays him in that fake fake fake, and did I mention fake, show. :D
