Hello,
I work with a special needs boy who is 2 1/2 years old. He is usually at home and breathing on his own but the past couple of weeks he's needed oxygen and more time on his ventilator.
On Thursday his parents, good friends of mine, took him to Children's Hospital in Dallas. He's been there ever since. He's exhausted but struggles to breathe way more when he's lying down. The doctors don't know what's wrong or what to do for him apart from what they've already tried. His airways are inflamed and he's having to work super hard to breathe.
We really need God! Only his dad was able to stay up there with him (2 hours away from us) because they have 4 other SICK children at home, the youngest is still nursing. His dad is exhausted, stressed and worried.
Please pray for healing, for strength, for wisdom and above all, for God's will.
The little boy's name is Trey and his parents' names are Cliff and Elfin.
Thank you so much!!

I will be praying for little Trey and his parents. Thanks for keeping us updated catlynn!

God Bless and Merry Christmas!

Elfin's update:

His belly is filling up with air which we think may be crowding his lungs and making it even harder for him to breathe. The x-rays are showing his intestines are also full of air. They don't know if there is some sort of obstruction or if his gut isn't working properly. It is causing him to have a very very difficult time breathing. A team is on the way to remove the air and possible obstruction.

We're praying that surgery won't be needed. Tests are also being done to check the function of his pancreas and a few others.

Thank you guys!

Dear Heavenly FatherI lift up to you this dear little child, Trey. Lord I pray that you will give the doctors the wisdom to find the problem and put a stop to the pain. I pray for the dad also Lord. Give him strenth to carrie this burdom and the wisdom to turn it all over to you. In the name of Jesus I pray, amen.

There is healing in the blood of Jesus and in Jesus' name we command all problems within Trey be removed, we speak healing and complete health to His body right now. And we pray that God may give strength and hope to the parents. In Jesus' name!

From Cliff this morning: So, the beginning of last night was pretty intense. Trey had not been able to rest all day because every time he would lay down, his breathing became extremely difficult. The only thing that felt good to him was being on his snail. But by 7pm he couldn't stay awake any longer, he was literally falling off of it. As soon as he laid down, he fell into such a deep sleep that ...he almost could breath on his own at all. So immediately a team of Dr's came in to find a solution. The only conclusion we could come to was that his belly was putting so much pressure on his lungs, he couldn't handle the position of laying down. We called in the surgical team to investigate his belly. Their concern is blockage, which may mean surgery. But they think its probably the virus causing his bowels to be sluggish, not blockage. Because the night drs aren't very familiar with trey, I had them call and wake up his Dr. He said if we have to increase his support, he'll have to go to the ICU. So, we stopped his feeds and drained his belly. The Dr did go up on his vent, but only by a little ( I think he compromised for me). After that, trey seemed to do better. He and I both got some well needed rest. His breathing was and is still labored, but he was abel to keep up on his own. Now the plan is to keep his belly empty, do scheduled bowel cleaning and watch him a day or two to make sure his bowels are functioning properly.

Another concern since he was admitted, has been anemia. I haven't mentioned it before because it has always been a secondary issue. But now that he's not getting fed, he won't be getting the things he needs to keep his blood supply up. They're doing blood work now to see where his levels are. If they're low, he will need a transfusion.

After talking with his Dr this morning, we're going to keep things as they are (if blood results are ok). However, if anything at all changes in the wrong direction, even in the slightest way, trey will be going to the ICU.

Since Cliff posted this they have taken more blood and determined that his blood levels are even lower, so they are preparing Trey for transfusion.

When I spoke with Cliff a few minutes ago he also said that Trey's work of breathing looked much better now. He looked comfortable

It breaks my heart when children suffer. I pray in Jesus's name that healing will come as soon as possible. Oh Lord, please protect this child and bring him to safety as soon as possible. We need him.

Thank you folks so much. God is so good and has already done so much for this little boy. He's still waiting for his blood transfusion but is resting well right now.

shemaiah, I stand with you in agreement. By His stripes, we were healed!

Edit: I have a good feeling about this!

From around 11 o'clock Christmas night, Cliff says: Just finished treys transfusion and he is counting some very comfortable z's. I'm so happy to say that he looks better than he did wed. when we got here. Dr's say that there is a risk of infection and heart problems for the first 24hrs. after the transfusion is complete, so we still have to watch him close. But for now he seems to be doing good a...nd his belly looks great. His lungs still sound bad, but he's able to handle it on his own now that the other issues are under some kind of control. As the last few days have shown, he could easily turn for the worse at any given moment tho.

I can never seem to express enough how much the prayers and support mean to my family and myself. I'm always amazed at the flood of responses after all my updates. Thanks to each one of you so much. Elfin and I are lucky to have so many people in our lives that love and care for us.

Cliff's update this morning: This morning trey is doing pretty good. The surgeons are happy with the way his bowels are acting, and want to start feeding him again. His blood levels are also good this morning. His lungs still sound bad and he's not exchanging his co2 very well, in fact its a little worse. But since he's looking and acting so good, we're not having to go to the ICU. The plan for now, is to continue with his lung treatments and regular bowel regiment. Hopefully with the other issues under control his lungs will recover a little faster.

Our sweet Trey man feeling much better but still in the hospital. :D

May the blood of Jesus cover Trey and his family. Gods word says that his word will not return to him void. WE pray that the he is healed in the name of Jesus. His word says that if we truely beilieve we can move mountains into the sea. He also says that what ever we rebuke upon this earth shall be rebuked in heaven. Whatever we loose upon this earth shalll be loosed in heaven. We are standing together right now rebuking anything that comes against him and we are releasing a healing upon him in the name of Jesus. The word is the truth and the truth shall set us free. By His stripes we are healed. Satan came to steal/kill and destroy. He does not have control over us. Believe, beliieve, believe!!!

Lord, I praise you for the miracles you have already performed in Trey. I ask that You continue to lay Your healing hand upon him, and help him become a healthy little boy. I pray that You bring peace and comfort to his family and remind them that You are constantly with them. In Your Holy Name, I pray. Amen.

Update from Elfin this morning:

Trey has been moved to ICU, this morning, where they have machines that can give him more assistance.

As memories of a year in the hospital are flooding in, we are approaching 1 week in the hospital, no idea how bills will be paid, how long it will be, or how we can possibly do this again, for any amount of time, and no way, with the addition of our sweet little Embry, that I can even give Cliff reprieve:

Rejoice always; pray without ceasing; in everything give thanks; for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus. (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18 NASB)

"Thank You for the fleas." ~ Corrie ten Boom, The Hiding Place

Thank you all so much for your prayers! They are such a blessing! I know that God is moving and working. Because Cliff is staying up at the hospital with Trey, he hasn't been able to work. So now they're facing financial stuff as well. But God has provided for them before and He will surely do it again. They spent a year in the hospital when Trey was a baby and they were all there, together, and God provided for their ever need. He is good. Thanks again for your continued prayers. :D We love you Trey man!

Haven seen the picture of the young boy, now i feel so STUPID for not praying..Was too lazy to pray, just hoped he'd get better..

Any volunteers to really smack me now????

I thought of Trey when I saw this: (it's from this link - Testimony - 11/08/11 - Andrew Wommack Ministries)

11/08/11 — "They couldn’t explain it, but his lungs were perfect…"

I want to call this testimony “ONLY BELIEVE!” Our first grandson was born about two weeks ago. When he was born, the doctors had to suction his lungs, and when they did, they blew two holes in them! His right lung was starting to collapse. He was gasping for air. They took x-rays and saw the holes and called another hospital to get an emergency transport! When the doctors came to tell us all that was happening, everyone started to let their emotions run away with them. I’m so thankful that your teachings of what the Word says were so ingrained in me. I was able to get everyone to stop, and I commanded healing into his lungs! That was when the doctors came in and told us of the second hole in his left lung. Satan was fighting against what we were believing for! I told everyone to only believe what we prayed. A few hours later, at the other hospital, we went in to see the baby, and he was perfectly healthy! Praise God! They took more x- rays of his lungs and said they couldn’t explain it, but his lungs were perfect! We want to thank you for your ministry and for all the truth you have taught us throughout the past five years. We are truly blessed!

I know it isn't the same situation, but I just thought to post this for you.

What an awesome testimony! Thank you so much! We do believe and claim with the authority given us for healing in Trey.

Tobby, no smacks. It's ok. Maybe pray now though? :D I appreciate it.

Trey is still in the hospital on pretty high support but he seemed to be more comfortable through the night. We're still waiting for the doctor to make rounds to hear what the plan is. He's not allowed to eat because the respiratory rate is so unstable they're extra cautious so that's kinda sucky.
Thank you all so much!
