I'm sure this question has been asked a million times but I just have to ask for myself.
What is it that good christian guys want in a lady/girl/woman/chica(etc, etc)?

I have dated some pretty awesome guys, but I haven't found the ONE. When I am out running errands or grocery shopping, knowing me I just dress to get it done and get home to do other stuff(levis, a tshirt, my hair pulled in a pony tail, no make up- pretty bad huh). And guys are always talking to me or flirting with me(at least I feel like they are flirting). Even when I am sick and I look my worst they still are awesome.
BUT when I get all dressed up in my nicest/cutest clothes(me being a cowgirl- rip free, stain free levis, nice westernish shirt, love my gypsy boots, my hair all curly and cute, flawless make up). I can't get a guy to talk to me. They'll just check me out and move on.

I'm friendly to people I even just pass, by smiling, saying hi, excuse me. Holding the door open, whatever, still nothing.
I don't do the bar scene, all of my friends are married with kids, so I don't have anyone to go out and go dancing with(besides I really don't want to meet a guy like that).
I love cooking, reading, gardening, I keep my house neat and clean. I'm happier that way.

Was I just born in the wrong decade? Maybe I should have been alive in the early 1900's or something so I could do all things I love and a guy would see that as something good in a wife.

Anyways, I just want to know what guys are REALLY looking for in a future spouse, maybe I can do things differently or something.

I myself just want a guy who is kind and loving with a little rebel streak running through him. Totally outdoorsy. I may not deer hunt, but I support it 100%(for some reason just because I don't hunt, it turns guys off). He has to love God and if there was a decision between something I wanted or something that would be better off with the way God wants it, he better dang well choose God's way. I'll get over it.
I love the way guys smell. Light cologne, a happy personality.
I'm not even asking them to give up their friends, or that favorite car they like to work on. That's who they are.

Anyways, thanks for letting me get that off my chest. Someone please enlighten me.

So, obviously I'm not a guy. lol and I can't speak for the guys. But my thoughts on the subject are
1. You don't need to change your personality or the things you like to find a "good Christian guy" because the right one you're looking for will love all of those things about you.
2. Maybe just spend time praying for whoever he is instead of worrying and seek first His kingdom. :)
God's timing and plan is perfect even though we may doubt at times.
Good luck girlie. Remember, God is good. :D

You're just the type of girl I'm looking for but unfortunately I live on another continent...do not change anything about yourself!

The best way to get a husband (or a wife) is by asking the Lord to provide you with one, ie (as already suggested, pray for one)...Your Heavenly Father is far more interested in giving you a husband than you are in acquiring one, so ask Him! John 16v24, Phil 4v19...

Yahweh Shalom.

..........someone who would serve Jesus more then me. Wearing a tweed jacket, with a good sense of humour and a desire to travel for God.

Above all it's more important as a Christian to find the right one, I'm sure like most, I don't want to try loads of people to see who's right. And we can trust God to give us signs.
Don't forget God is awesome, and someone who doesn't seem perfect straight away could be 'the one'.

Seek His Kingdom first, and the desires of your heart according to His will, will be granted, and getting lost in Him means other things just aren't so important. That's for me, and anyone else who wants it :)

Shalom

You sound like you're pretty good looking, and if that's true, that's one thing that 90% of guys are looking for. The whole way you dress thing is strange...my only guess is that when you're all dressed up, guys are intimidated (like, you're out of their league or something).

I have dated some pretty awesome guys, but I haven't found the ONE.

It could also be your standards of "the one". It would be good to take a look at what it is that makes an "awesome" guy not good enough for you. Maybe have a sit-down with your pastor or a trusted older married woman, to get some discerning advice. Tell them what your standards are, and discuss why it is things might not have worked out yet.

hope this helps!

I just got my hair did yesterday. It's hard being so hot all the time isnt it?

I agree with some of the others. The right guy for you will like you for YOU. Try to be someone else and you might attact a guy who is looking for the girl you're pretending to be...not you. So just be yourself.
Other than that, there is no specific answer here. I think we're all looking for different things. Plus, God knows best. We might think we want or need a person with this, this, that, this, and that other thing when in fact we are better off with someone different than we might've expected. It's possible.
I know there are things I want, but I try to keep an open mind and open heart to what God knows.

Thanks everyone, this is exactly what I needed to hear. It's disheartening once in awhile when your best friend is having her 3rd kid and another friend is on her 3rd husband. It just makes me think- when is it going to be my turn? I'm selfish, my friend Monica just divorced her 3rd husband and now she's living with someone else and the thought that ran through my head was "seriously, you've had your turn, stop ruining good guys for good girls like me."
Oh-well, I just have to keep reminding myself I'm on God's time, He knows what's best for me.
Thanks everyone! :)

Guys like girls who have avatar pics of themselves. ;)
At least, I do. I always find talking to an anonymous blank space kinda detached.

Anyway, don't stress about it too much. 50% of females aged 25-35 are single.
Also, you're not born in the wrong decade. A lot about the way you described yourself is really very attractive. Going by the kind of comments the rest of the fellas here have posted, it sounds as though you'd be snapped up quick if they had anything to say about it.

If you have to change who you are to find a man, then you will end up divorced. Because eventually you'll get tired of pretending and who you really are will come out, and when its not the person he married, the division begins. Also that leaves you open to becoming bitter over having to be someone you're not. Don't worry about it. Be yourself, live your life.
There are lots of awesome women, for example, on this site. Single women. Women i can't see how they could possibly still be single, yet they are. So don't think you're the odd one out. You are just one of many in your position. Just keep growing in your walk, and enjoying your life.

This may be far from what you expect to hear but whenever I think of relationships the movie "FIREPROOF" comes to my mind. And the soundtrack called "While I'm waiting" I love that movie because it just prepares me mentally for my future wife. Yes, I don't know about the rest of the guys but I always ask myself that question about a woman.

I am in England, central London. I see a lot of girls but not the one. Honestly, I always assume that the really beautiful girls have a boyfriend or either partying at night. It is a bad , please pray for me guys and girls. But till then I will keep waiting on the Lord. HE IS ABLE. NEVER EVER FORGET THAT. GOD IS WITH US, HE KNOWS OUR HEARTS BETTER THAN WE DO, WALK WITH YOUR HEAD UP, AND YOUR EYES OPEN, WITH YOUR MIND ON GOD SO WHEN HE SENDS THAT SPECIAL SOMEONE TO YOU, YOU WILL NOT WALK RIGHT BY. WHILE YOU WAITING PREPARE YOURSELF, SO WHEN WE MEET OUR SPOUSES WE ARE PREPARED SO THAT NO EVIL MAY EFFECT US IN ANY WAY.

GOD BLESS YOU ALL. I WILL NEVER GIVE UP, GOD IS WITH US.

I LOVE the movie Fireproof. I have the soundtrack on my ipod. Thanks Baptized.
Thank you everyone for your responses. Everyone had some really good advice, which I love being able to grow from others.

Never wanted a supermodel or a popular girl they never attract me because i can smell trouble, my eyes are always on that cute girl that thinks she's outclassed by all those popular girls. She never seeks attention and is very smart, when i can have a intelligent conversation with a girl that is something i really like.

Perfect hair. No matter what you are doing, even slopping those pigs, make sure your hair is perfect.

Guys like girls who smile, because happiness is attractive.

I read it in a teen magazine a long time ago, so it must be true. :p
