Hi everyone,
I was reading in Judges today and I ran across this portion of scripture,
and I saw something so Awesome. I saw Christ and The Redemptive work
that He did and does for us, as we walk with Him daily.

Does anyone else see this in these scriptures?

Jdg 1:1 Now after the death of Joshua it came to pass, that the children of Israel asked the LORD, saying, Who shall go up for us against the Canaanites first, to fight against them?

Jdg 1:2 And the LORD said, Judah shall go up: behold, I have delivered the land into his hand.

Jdg 1:3 And Judah said unto Simeon his brother, Come up with me into my lot, that we may fight against the Canaanites; and I likewise will go with thee into thy lot. So Simeon went with him.

Jdg 1:4 And Judah went up; and the LORD delivered the Canaanites and the Perizzites into their hand: and they slew of them in Bezek ten thousand men.

Ok, I quess nobody sees it so I'll just post to the quests.
The red is what I saw when I read. The scriptures are what
I heard.

Jdg 1:1 Now after the death of Joshua(Jesus) it came to pass, that the children of Israel(Spiritual Israel) asked the LORD, saying, Who shall go up for us against the Canaanites(our enemies, principalities and powers) first, to fight against them? Col 2:15

Jdg 1:2 And the LORD said, Judah(The lion of The Tribe of Judah) shall go up: behold, I have delivered the land into his hand. (The Christ) Rev. 5:5
Mat. 11:27

Jdg 1:3 And Judah said unto Simeon his brother, (Us)Come up with me into my lot,(seated in the heavens in Christ that we may know what He has acomplished in the Spirit) that we may fight against the Canaanites;and I likewise will go with thee into thy lot.(this realm,The Flesh, so that we can overcome) So Simeon went with him. Mat.12:50,Joh14:3,14:20,14:23,16:33 16:33
Eph. 2:6

Jdg 1:4 And Judah went up; and the LORD delivered the Canaanites and the Perizzites into their hand: and they (Together)slew of them in Bezek ten thousand men. 1Co 15:25, Rom 8:17

This is a historic account of what happened. How can you get something spiritual out of that??

God does not promise he will do this for us. Many Christians die in wars and out of a hatred of Christians.

This is God showing his power to his children. Even though they eventually still rejected God. that is the message!

EG,

Christ is The Living Word of God, and is there just under the surface of pen and ink
Like a watermark, in every story, in every word, that is written.

Yes, it is about Joshua, and the Israelites, and the battles, are you saying none of
that has to do with us today?

The stories are there for our admonition, for our learning.
God's word is Spirit, to be spiritually minded is Life.

If it were not for the Holy Spirit these would just be History.
And Not His-Story. History does not bring the Life of Christ.
Only His Life brings Life.

History shows us Gods power. It does not show us secret messages. God was fulfilling his promise he made to abraham. And he let us know in history he did exactly what he promised to do. And this helps us to understand God will also keep his promise to us (like eternal life) Trying to take this and symbolize it for something for us today makes no sense. We donb't kneed to read things into everything we read. Alof of it is just God showing us what he did..

EG,

I don't do this, "symbolize everything" (as you claim,) I read, and see and hear,
What The Holy Spirit is teaching me.

Natural man can not do this.

1Co 2:12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God.

1Co 2:13 Which things also we speak, not in the words which man's wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.

1Co 2:14 But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.

1Co 2:15 But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man.

1Co 2:16 For who hath known the mind of the Lord, that he may instruct him? But we have the mind of Christ.

What we see in these verses is co-operation. God has not meant for us to work alone, He sent His disciples 2 by 2, the prophets in the OT never worked alone. God has given people in the church different gifts and He wants His church to work together.

Here are some verses on that thought
1 Corinthians 3:9
(9) For we are labourers together with God: ye are God's husbandry, ye are God's building.
2 Corinthians 6:1
(1) We then, as workers together with him, beseech you also that ye receive not the grace of God in vain.

I thought for sure I listed those verses in the second post, but I did'nt.
They should have been right here.

Jdg 1:4 And Judah went up; and the LORD delivered the Canaanites and the Perizzites into their hand: and they (Together)slew of them in Bezek ten thousand men. 1Co 15:25, Rom 8:17

Yes they worked together and they worked with God that is why the Lord delivered them.

what i see in this passage is that the tribe of judah encouraged the tribe of simeon to participate in the work God wanted israel to do...

similarly we christians should encourage and challenge each other to participate in God's work...

And where does Christ and What He has done, come into this?

We should be able to see Christ in every line of scripture.
After all they are what testify of Him.

christ wants faithful servants...that is the connection i would make with this passage...

anyway you cannot allegorically read jesus into literally -every- verse of the bible...it was never meant to be read like that anyway...

that usually just results in a lot of guesswork and subjective personal interpretation...people who do it are usually relying on their imaginations more than they are relying on the holy spirit...

Not sure if i agree with you there mate. I do understand that we have to work together but I wouldn't necessarily say that everyone has someone (if you exclude everyone having God) Christ was alone on the earth in a way, Isaiah was 'alone, Jeremiah was 'alone, so was Jonah and Daniel and many others. Yes we have to work together but i wouldn't say that God has not meant us to work alone. (It's a lot easier with someone but not always someone there) :D

Dear Rachel,
We are to continue to grow in Christ, from servants, to sons and heirs with Him.
If you think that I am able to interpret scripture like that, then you are wrong.
I gave all scripture to back up what I was seeing, through the Holy Spirit, it is
not private, that's why I wanted to share with the rest of the body.

But shame on me, I should have known better.
To take something so precious to me,.....................and,....

It won't happen again,
I promise.

Blessings

I like your insight here. praise God. you are right there is much that the natural man can not see in scripture. Do not be discouraged. be of good cheer because the Lord has His people who will see the light even if you do not know it. post your thoughts that they may bless some who are seeking truth. ignore those who trample on the pearls of Gods word. they can not hurt you. nor can their words change What the Spirit intends.

Have Faith in God.
