What kind of questions do you ask someone your interested in?

So when you are chatting with someone online that you are interested in, what kinds of questions do you ask?
This guy cracks me up, he's such a cowboy. Why do I always get stuck with these ones. I love them, but they only answer with one word answers. And never ask questions. It's so annoyingly funny.

I don't have a problem with talking in person, but we are online only right now. And of course he has a dirty mouth like most dudes I know. But then so do I. Sorry! :(
 
If I keep quiet, I get to hear a lot about them. People reveal a LOT about themselves if you just leave them to talk. Out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks.
But general questions are good to start with. 'What kind of music do you like' is always a good one for revealing personality. Favorite movies, dream occupation and opinions about spiritual things/religion are fantastic too. :D
As you get to know someone better and build a friendship, questions can get more specific. I'm usually very picky with who I call friends however, so a lot of people never get past the the general questions. I usually try to continue being friendly of course.

I usually listen to them in main for a bit before I want to PM with them. Gives me a better idea of what questions to ask and time to determine whether they are someone I want to get to know.
 
Generally if you start your question with one of the following words: why, what, where, when, who and how they will be forced to give more than one word answers...

Answering your question , My FIRST question , real question, after having broken the ice some to see if she can understand my whacked out, green humor, is, 'Do you believe in God?'

After that, I will ask her why she is at this location when I am ?

What kinds of things does she do in her free time?
