You beat me to it. It's why I stopped using the chat room for a few months. Some guys on here slap the "girlfriend tag" on girls without telling them.lol I remember reading in a thread last year where I guy said everytime he sees a guy, he automatically views him as a threat; someone he has to compete with over getting girls attention! I nearly vomited when I read that....

A girl come on CC, puts up a pretty pic and immediately she is told she is a fake. Especially if she won't go on cam.

Why is CC so hostile to a pretty girl? Why are the women of CC so hostile to other women?

There have been several girls lately who have been harrassed to the point of not showing up anymore on CC by girls who are less attractive constantly picking at them.

I'm not a great looking guy, and there are better looking guys on CC. But I am not trying to chase them off cause of my insecurities.

Why is this a common practice among the female CC population?

It seems like if you are unattractive you get no attention which I can understand and then if yo are attractive you get so much unwanted attention.

Why are chrsitian women still so hostile to each other like non christians?

Can't say I've seen this happening much among the ladies of cc, but if it does, then here is some insight:

The same principle is at work that would cause SOMEONE (a male someone, cough, ahem) to get on mic. and say disparaging and dismissive things about Tim Tebow. It's simple jealousy, duh, and guys aren't immune to it, either.

The following is a paid presentation of eyerolls for a certain member who will remain unnamed:

It's not just ladies who say this stuff though. I had a guy tell me that only vain people post their photos as their avatars. :/
 
I haven't liked using the chat rooms because of this kind of thing, and more because of it's consequences.

People present their pictures (something I always appreciate as it's nice to see who I'm talking too) but then get told it's wrong for whatever stupid reason......there isn't a good one, because there's nothing wrong with it regardless of how 'attractive' you are considered to be.

Or people don't present a picture and people nag them for one, which makes them less inclined to do so.

All this results in the chat box messages being some variation of 'leave me alone or I'll ignore you and report you' etc......while said people gladly PM me :confused: apparently it only goes the one way.
It's just sad how many people come here for dates, and only dates, and offend other people needlessly.
 
Clearly these women who think they're not as attractive as others don't have beauty within either. This kind of behaviour can only show that they are rather more unattractive on the inside and have serious character issues and a clear lack of strength.

Nod and Ritter.......seriously. I thought it was nuts too. Two women on here would tell him if I put one up while I was online and he wasn't, and I would be scolded for doing it.

As wyler said, after you've gotten to know someone, it is kinda nice to put a face with a name and even a voice.

*sings* Ritter, you're so vain. You probably think this post is about you. You're so vaaaaaaaaaaaaaaain. I bet you think this post is about you. Don't you? Don't you? :D

I don't really notice this much, but that might be because I'm not in Chat as much anymore. And even then, it's usually only if certain people are on.

As for why women act catty or men get competitive, I agree Snackersmom, it's all about jealousy. Unfortunatley, we won't be able to get rid of it here, because:
A. We all live in the flesh
B. There are people who are not Christians that come here. (Even if the claim to be Christians.)
 
I think wyler has actually hit on the reason for the whole thing...apparently some people don't actually come here to chat, they think it's a dating service.
 
Oh wow. I don't think I've ever gotten any flak about being me or putting up avatars or anything. I just be me.
 
I thought jealousy was one of those fleshy things that should be over looked for the glory of God.

Aww. But I like being able to breath. Helps with the whole living agenda I've go going so far. Well, jealousy is just a waste of one's time. If vying for one man's attention is what she's gonna do over chat site, then I think she has these issues that she needs to deal with. I mean, like c'mon. Didn't God provide this day our daily bread? Wont He continue to provide more in the future? Like that one Jeremiah verse everyone like to quote. I have a plan for and whatnot. :p

Forgive me. I overtly enjoy ranting over boards.
