It makes me roll my eyes when people talk about...

Justin Bieber. Twilight... Oh, and judgemental "I hate you, just because." type of banter.

Twilight. Justin Bieber bashing. And shopping... Goodnes... the shopping. And it's not just shopping, but a story is somehow also involved. (The little manly-man inside me cringes due to the full extent of every little detail that has to be told)

Okay. I tried to be nice. Not quite sure what that was above.
 
When people talk about their babies nonstop on facebook...I don't need to hear about your infant's big and healthy poop today. :rolleyes: :p

When people with issues try to fix other people with different issues and treat them like theirs are worse, rather than working together and looking at the bigger picture of what really matters.

Anything relating to schools or colleges. Seriously, no offense to anyone. Just a personal pet peeve.

Judgmental comments. Actually, rather than an eye roll, those just make me feel sad.

I had relatives who hated my family & they would constantly roll their eyes & thats why I'm not fond of eye rolling :) I know I can just never visit this thread again but I don't want to. This is the fastest way to learn random things about you guys & gals!
 
When 2 strangers with kids meet like in a mall or something and they start talking about when their kid was born and how old they are and blah blah blah.

When people who are 50+ years old are all-knowing and infallible and don't let you talk because they are supreme.

When girls talk about how much they smoked or how much they drank and what guy they met.

The fact that you can't hold a healthy or brain stimulating conversation with almost anyone because of mass ignorance, christians and non-christians alike

Wow you hit the nail on the head with one of my biggest pet peeves, the fact that differences of opinion in the Christian community divides us, and not opening our minds to possible truths we didnt understand or know, and being willing to grow as a result of being open minded, not stunted by our stubborn tendencies.

I more roll my eyes on the inside rather than literally, lol. I'm not too fond of it either.
 
There are people all around me that say "I don't want to brag, but ...." and then the next 10 minutes are nothing but bragging - LOL.
 
It makes me roll my eyes when a person say "Amen Halleluja!!" every 3 minutes in a conversation no matter what the conversation is about

Great thing to say, lizzytheone. I agree, those filler words that pastors use are sometimes just not Spriit-led, it seems, hmmm , well, maybe, the Lord leads, maybe then I take that back, because I try to see everything that a pastor says as God's wisdom being imparted to me, and, laced by He with grace and mercy so those filler words may actually be God just getting me into the message more, or, maybe just waking me up from my pew :D :) words actually hurt more than sticks or stones, we all REALLY know, just saying.

But I know what you are saying, milady, I have a pastor in fact I know that has that his pet peeve, the filler ' Halelujah' and 'amen,' and when he was young singles pastor he told us he would NOT use those words in his sermons. And, he is 15 years since then and he is the pastor of a huge church and he's 43 (no, it is not me).

Well, actually the pastors of my church dont say those words so much. I usually hear that from the ppl that is listening to the pastors and say Amen Halleluja each time that the pastors end a sentence.
And i have heard that too in ppl that when i talk or other ppl talk with them they start to say Amen Halleluja every 3 minutes even if the conversation is about something bad.
As i understand "amen" means something like an afirmation or confirmation of what someone says and that God let it happen in that way, so when someone talk about that something bad happened and someone say "Amen! Amen! Amen!" i dont see meaning in that and i put this face -----> :rolleyes:
But i dont think "amen hallelujah" are bad words, its just the way of some ppl use them. :)

Yes, I see, lizzietheone, I was thinking 'pastor' and you were saying the people listening to the pastor in church, who hear Him say something like , 'Are you going to be having a good rest of your day with Jesus, this restful day.'

Yeah, I getcha lizzy, you make perfect sense. I try to let the Lord lead on that ,but I do occassionally BELT out a 'Amen,' and, I just try to be supportive of the pastor sometimes and other times I just feel the Spriit speaking to me something that maybe I was going through that past week and the sermon is confirmation of that event being gone the way it did :)

By the way, I think 'amen' means 'thank you.' It is not a affirmation word, I used to think that but I think if you go bback to the original Greek, Hebrew, Arabic, then 'amen' is a gracious word :)

You know I saw this angel one day, oh wait, no nm, it was a dog.

What makes me roll my eyes are all those e-mail and FB stats that say I love God, etc, etc, if you love God too, then repost, or else you don't love God. Excuse me, but really, how is proclaiming you love Christ and then the very next second your cursing in your status every other word, or posting some other derogatory showing you love God? And how does it prove I don't love God if I don't repost?

Its not so much what they talk about, just when people think they know everything and you cant tell them nothing!
